The Man With All The Cute Boats:
They'd be better in a follow-up story, as this time it's really more about the Fortress moving on from the 'glory days'. Even the Imperial there, I picked because she'd be the newest in the group, and wouldn't really be able to budge the fortress by herself because she doesn't know him that well. What really gets him was the kids, and was the whole 'In a dungeon but not exploring' thing.

The others can have little bits to themselves maybe in a follow-up, where the Fortress is looking for a job and asking his old friends if their workplace is hiring. I already have a general idea of what at least 3 of the other party members would be doing, atleast.

Which boss is schooling you in post? I could you give a couple hints.

You should establish their genders and classes and perhaps their appearances in this first bit, that way it'll read better in the follow up. Also because readers can speculate about the journey thus growing reader interest.

less boss more me underestimating post game content.
