So, I'm reading SoE's sheet and something's bothering me a little bit:

Invasion of Minds: Capable of entering the minds of others and leaving a copy of himself that melds with them. This copy gains a complete understanding of the one who it is within. Using this it begins to slowly chip away at their insecurities making them doubt, making them fear, slowly and surly it will eat away at them all the while pushing them towards evil actions. This is not something from the ‘outside’ but rather it is a part of the person making them doubt themselves due to how it merges with them. He generally targets recent events to gain a foothold and dig in from there. The copy will also make it whenever the person sleeps they suffer intense, unescapable, nightmares which ware at the person’s psyche.  This invasion cannot be detected and cannot be removed. A person with it will forever have to deal with the whispers of it, now as simply a part of them, trying to push you into evil.

Is this for everyone?  Or can those with strong mental defenses resist?  (Tom and Forest being the two psionics around here.)

Cloud of Evil: In his true form, as a conceptual existence, he is completely impossible to interact with. He can still be seen but any actions to touch him will be failures. However should someone move even a part of their body through him they will immediately begin to have their darkest desires rise to the forefronts of their minds and will feel the need to act on them. This desire and need will be so great that resisting will make them suffer physical pain and effects similar to drug withdrawal. This is not a form of mental interference on his part, but rather the evil in the person’s mind reacting to his proximity.

I think this is a bit too much, considering that you want us to RP SoE.

Only complete isolation of the mind from all interference would defend against it, cause it a conceptual thing it does, cause SoE is the temptation to preform evil all people have at some level, so without literally lobotomizing yourself it would be able to get in.

I believe Archive Hunter is the only human that actually defenses against the invasion. Cause his mind is basically like no ins or outs, complete lock-down. And even then that is not really defending against it, more accurate would be calling Archive Hunter an invalid target for this ability.

Granted Forest would be difficult for SoE to fuck with in her own way, with her being really fucking old and probably having a really stable mind. Forest would probably be one of those gradual jobs that SoE likes so much. Granted events that occur can be used to accelerate the process, even momentary lapses or depression acting as a suitable foothold cause he will make a 'mountain of of a molehill' to start eating at her.

Tom I am not even to sure if it would work at all because of what he is, would have to work that out with Alice.

I think this is a bit too much, considering that you want us to RP SoE.

Then ill tone it down a bit. But really he would never do this.

Cause that is basicly forcing someone to do something, and he HATES that. He wants to them chose evil on their own with just a slight nudge.

Edit: Ok Ivan, I made it so they just suffer pain with the effect fading quickly as long as it is not extended contact. Also a note how he hates using it. Hope it is more reasonable.

Honestly, I dislike abilities that interfere with the mental facilities of any character as well as with the reality and established truths and universe. It makes it seem like a Puppetmaster-esque way of RPing.

If you don't want me using mind altering stuff then just tell me, if ya don't want him messing with your characters at all, then say so. That is all there is to it.

I am either going to talk about what he would do to characters beforehand to the player, or let them do it themselves with SoE kinda just talking to them as a normal human while causing slight influence.

If it's irreversible then I probably don't. Sakura's suffered enough of that sort of crap in her life.

Plus, honestly, I'm not sure what sort of evil you could even bring to the surface for several of them. I've never seen any indication of an evil side to Shirou at all, and Sakura's is mostly jealousy and revenge, which is difficult to invoke when she has no-one to really seek revenge against and has just about everything she wants. Kiyoshi and Aoi I'm not sure how they'd react to such a thing, again their motives are mostly very positive and there isn't a lot they have reason to be evil about. Rider, of course, is another matter, and would definitely have evil acts come out, but said acts would involve torturing people and such things, and that requires a player who is willing to RP that. Plus, she's not powerful enough relative to other characters to be able to do that and not end up dead.

I don't mind messing with people, as Neo himself messes with people. The only issue I have is when it tries to alter the behavior, morality, ethics and therefore personality of a person without anyway to argue or fight back. I mean, Neo got thrown off like a pebble for badmouthing anyone. That's sorta fair, considering that he didn't assume indirect control.

Well yes, I do mind if he meddles with my characters, but so as with any other characters, mainly because they're more powerful and, therefore, more potentially destructive and deadly when turned to be evil.

You wouldn't describe EMIYA as "evil", though, or even MoS Shirou. You can tempt him to take easy actions that are bad, but I'm not sure if you could corrupt him into outright evil.
