Strix in vampires can be diablerized, and they can diablerize vampires in turn. Basically it's whoever gets in the first punch and makes it stick.
Ah, okay, gotcha. What about someone that can eat souls outright though? Is it similar in that regard, in that it's who gets to the punch first, or is it somewhat power level based?
Quote
It has to be sunlight in particular, and only sunlight. Flashlight won't do shit, magic won't do shit if it's based in the physical, because he is fucking SHADOW.
Would a UV lamp work? Same wavelength of light.

And Kuro. How is Minato capable of doing any of this? From what I understand, Minato shouldn't really have much in terms of magical ability outside of his Persona.
Strix aren't really souls. They're strange as shit basically, I think the only reason they can be diablerized is because they're so close to the Beast of the Kindred. So if he's in a body and a Kindred pulls Diablerize out of his pocket then yeah, I *think* that'd do it.

UV lamp, no, again. Sunlight. Strix are weird in that they act like spirits while not being spirits. They have specific bans that while they don't harm them (for the most part) they don't allow them to pass. For the Hunter it's the sound of bells, and then the general weakness of sunlight and fire.

Personas can alter and warp time space according to the user's wishes, a small number of them were able to produce a dimensional labyrinth and time travel over a period of six months. Minato in reality has more than a small number of persona.

He made a mistake while trying to figure out how to control this ability and the current state of things is the result, he has not attempted anything near as large scale since.

The chance is not one in eight, the chances are far lower than that, but I am not going to demand that you delete your post or anything, I am going to roll with it and use this as an excuse to let Thanatos play around in Minato's body, a bullshitty idea I came up with just now.

Please don't try to tell me that almighty won't work.

>Personas

That's the fucking TV world you dumbass and quit godmodding. I had no reason to believe you pulled this dimensional shit out and let me see, if it's in 1 of 8 possible locations and the strix tries to get in, then yes he's got a one in eight chance to get inside.

My fuck up, Tartarus, but the point is that the Persona's shouldn't be able to do this shit.

The Abyss of Time was totally made by the SEES members' personae over six months, it also facilitates time travel. That is practically half of the plot of The Answer.

Personae are in the end just tamed shadows, only much much stronger. Their properties do not change so significantly in becoming personae.

Time travel is coincidentally one of the two things I am explicitly banned from doing, the other being any form of in combat teleportation.

I personally set limits on time space fuckery as well, it takes long stretches of time and uninterrupted concentration to do anything with it, like hours and days. Which is likely the reason there are so few other stipulations on it, there is no practical way to make significant use of it after the game started, it takes too long to get useful results.

That being said, I would like to know if Almighty, the damage attribute with the property of doing damage to everything, would affect your shadow bird. I ask partly out of base curiosity.

Minato's sword is a holy grail beam saber, that I specified can cut whatever Minato wants it to, so I should hope it does a little more than base sword damage.

"It can cut whatever its wielder wants to" is the fucking most retarded power in this entire RP, exceeding even Minato's Armageddon, because there's a lot of fucking things in this RP you can't cut.

Space time dorm is called that because it is technically in eight places at once; But for practical purposes the dorm is in none of the places unless someone opens the front door at which point it's position becomes fixed in one of the places for a short time.

I have mentioned this before too.

To put it simply if someone who is not allowed tries to enter the dorm, it would almost definitely fix itself somewhere else. This is not infallible, someone with time space abilities could get around it, and someone with high enough luck could just walk right in thanks to simply turning the odds in their favor. Probability manipulation would also work.

Flying in through a window with no luck stat, no time space skill, no probability alteration, and no talking to me beforehand definitely does not work.  >:(

If you want people to respect your speshul magic thing that Minato shouldn't even have to begin with, then fucking list it in your character sheet instead of going "Oh you can't do X because my speshul thing I never listed prevents you from doing so."

Though I am having trouble not laughing at the concept of a persona protag not being able to kill a shadow. Probably a different sort of shadow but the thought is still hilarious.

>Implying Shadows are actually made of shadows and not negative emotions. Jesus christ, did you even play the game?

Almighty can do damage to anything, sure, doesn't mean it can actually hit. Strixes are immaterial and immune to things to things that hit immaterial things. Basically it's like trying to hit a hologram.

No, it was made by POWUH OFFU FRIENDSHIP YAMATO SPIRIT, something which doesn't exist in CE.

Ok so in order.

Yeah I was more venting annoyance than seriously arguing at that point in the conversation, but yeah it doesn't really cut everything I actually took that out during my last big sheet edit.

I was already planning to add info on the dorm to my sheet for referencing during my next edit, so I can stop having to explain it over again everytime it comes up.

I was commenting on the irony, Minato is a shadow killing specialist that can't hurt a shadow, it is humorous in that this IS a different kind of shadow and his advantage is nonexistent against it.

Gah, my greatest weakness, megido's shitty hit rate. Attacks six enemies, misses five. how does that even work? Repeat, hits two, ugh. I get better results from base mudo.

I have no reply to that last part.

I will make my next round of edits this week most likely so please hold while my character becomes yet again a little more tolerable.

Kurogami clearly is starting to lantz his char.

My Mage in making might have pretty versatile Awakened Magic that bends reality to his will, but I'm sure to add weaknesses that in practice makes spamming magic and doing something too blatantly magic a dangerous proposition (Paradox backslash).

I guess something I forgot to ask.

Why is this old man even doing this? What is his motivation? Why did he even pick Minato other than apparently being nice? How does he even have all these connections and influence?

The Abyss of Time was totally made by the SEES members' personae over six months, it also facilitates time travel. That is practically half of the plot of The Answer.

When the phenomena of Dark Hour and Tartarus was created, Tartarus, growing out of the ground each night eventually left a great cove underneath its roots. Following the death of the Protagonist, the Abyss of Time was attracted by SEES' grief and sorrow and spread its influence there, rooting down below the dorm. Eventually the Abyss of Time would become active, locking SEES in an infinite time loop where the time will re-reset itself whenever the clock hits 12:00 A.M., leaving time forever frozen on March 31.

Well, Rider should be able to see him, Kiyoshi should be waking up because this thing is literally stealing chunks of his soul from his breath, and the Strixes yellow yes are boreing into his.

Arch, I am not letting you kill Kiyoshi either, you know that, right? And nor am I going to let you cause him any long-term damage. Still, from what I can tell, having your soul sucked in the Nasuverse only has short-term effects (Rider sucks Ayako's soul in UBW), so I would expect him to just be drained for a bit. If you are going to insist on anything beyond that, then I am going to argue it with Elf.

I believe it's pretty much the equivalent to Kindred sucking blood that the Hunter is doing right now.

Also, the point with Strige that makes them so hard to deal with is precisely that normally very few things can hurt it, except for its Banes. That would be Fire and Sunlight plus whatever other Bane the Strix has acquired if it's been around long enough.

So, say, if it didn't use the Twilight Form power, a sword that can cut spirits still wouldn't be able to hurt it (unless it was specifically enchanted to hurt Strix by Blood Sorcery), but a shotgun with Dragon's Breath would because it's fire. And it doesn't matter if that fire is of supernatural or mundane origin, it is complete anathema to them.

Which would be extremely useful information if we had any IC reason to actually know this. It's not that I can't find any way to stop him, but that the only ways I can stop him involve blatant godmodding, so I need to at least get Elf to approve it first.

Erm that part was actually more in response to the previous "can it hurt the Strix or not" argument.
