I see no reason to stop the RP just because a few people quit. I do need to get involved again, though, I'm just a bit stuck as to how.

I ain't quitting or anything, I'm just taking it easy for a bit. I'll be back eventually. Plus other people will probably be back sooner or later, once school stuff slows down. An RP this huge will have it's lull periods, which is part of why Chris left anyway- it didn't keep up fast enough of a pace, because from what I can tell people kept having IRL things happen or similar (myself included).

So yeah, I wouldn't call this one dead yet. It's just a busy time for people, and usually it's inevitable that some people are going to leave at some point anyway.

Well, I think a lot of the problem is that we're quite fragmented, and most of us don't really know what to do. I really don't have a clue, for example.

I have coursework to get done and "newer" interests to spend my free-time on (MTG), but I haven't abandoned CE.
Knick really helped me out of the bind on "what in the world should I have Lyco Aptera do!?" for the fiery wings thing; I have a post in the works! Just other things at the top of my list of things to do.

Hmm, Knick, remind me, how would Shiro react to meeting Kiyoshi and Rider? Also, potentially, Haruna (Mil's character).

Really you should not be asking, just doing it, asking leads to metagaming even if not intended, just do things and have the characters act out the situations as they would. So if ya want to interact with Shiro go ahead, he will react depending on what the character does.

Also remember I am really busy with school work, so updates are only if I find time until, but I will try and get them within a few days of the post. A bit quicker if it is a action filled post.

If you waiting on me just send a PM, and I will try a bit harder to find time.

Well, yeah, it's metagaming in a sense, but only in the sense of "I want the RP to actually be interesting". Further, due to the no-kill rule (and the fact that I don't want my characters to die), it becomes a real pain in the ass if we get into a situation where you would try to kill them, because then we have to bullshit a way out of that.

I think maybe we should reboot this. As a note, I don't think this is Elf's fault, or really, anyone's fault. It's just how things turned out.

I hate to say it, but compared to round one, I wasn't having as much fun this time. It didn't capture the same feeling. I mean, the lantz stuff made me miserable as all hell, and it had it's bad stuff outside of that, but there was a lot of stuff in it that was a hell of a lot of fun for me, that until certain events came to a head, made it a lot of fun in comparison to this run.

I just think... I think this went downhill not only because of people winding up being busy, but just because it just wasn't the same. And (I really hope to hell, if my characterization was bad the whole time even in 1.0, someone better damn well tell me this time) I think my character writing suffered for it. I slipped up as badly as I did because I was writing out of obligation more than enjoyment.

So I say we need a fresh start. I think after some of the people willing to come back get more freedom with their schedules, we start this up again.

I'd be willing to serve as a plot GM of sorts. ...with literally all that meaning is that Elf can bounce ideas off of me, and me back at her, so we sort of have an overarching plot going for the people that prefer something more structured. Unless there's someone more qualified that can step up to the plate (I'd recommend Nachos in a heartbeat for instance, but he only has so much time on his hands).

So yeah, thoughts, feelings, people damn well telling me if I screwed up with characterization beyond the latter parts of this round of CE or not?

As for me, I'm generally fine with what we have right now, I'm waiting for Ma'am Elf to post.

A new start would be good for me. I've got myself a bit stuck, and I'm not really sure where to go from here.

I found myself struggling with trying to RP Lyco Aptera alongside Enkidu and Gilgamesh. Daiki and Mooncake are very good at what they do, imho, and I feel intimidated by it, especially since Lyco Aptera is one of several of my OCs - all of which need more fleshing out.
And Knick challenged me to writing Lyco Aptera's response to being able to fly - welcome yet also disconcerting.

I'm not entirely sure this needs a reboot, mainly because I feel ashamed at my lack of posting in response to Knick... ^^;

I just feel like we've already been through one reboot already and doing it is a lot of work for me who's time is limited right now.

Part of me would like to do a reboot, because with some people leaving suddenly leaves some character work in the shitter, but there's already been a lot done so far.  I'm conflicted.

So, how about a vote:

Reboot Yes or No.

(If its rebooted, we'll keep all the approved characters so no one has to make new sheets. It'll literally just start over.)

I don't blame ya there. And a vote is definitely the best way to settle this, as while I feel in a lurch, there's a chance not everyone feels the same. And in this case, the majority's desires overtake my own. As a caveat, if we do the reboot, since I'm the one that suggested it in the first place, I'd be automatically obligated to help however I can with it. Would that make things easier, especially with the time crunch thing?

I vote yes for the reboot. Though I think waiting until people start having schedules open up a bit more is wise (IE: they chime in in here in regards to that) is a wise choice if we do so.

As a note, since it's possible I didn't make it clear, I didn't mean to be insulting or hurtful in regards to my opinion in terms of the reboot. Honestly, it just got off to a slow start for me personally, and so it suffered from that in the long run as a result. Not to mention IRL stuff, and etc.

As an extra note! If we don't get a reboot, I won't be walking away from CE or anything. It might take me a bit to get posting again since I'm sorting some stuff out, but I wouldn't be quitting. So if that helps allay some worries then there you go.
