Threshold Resonance: When a Sin-Eater performs an act that resonates with his geist’s Threshold, he may regain plasm as the geist itself gains power due to the emotional strength of the action. A Sin-Eater with the Threshold of the Torn (death by violence) may regain plasm through violence to the brink of death — both by perpetrating it (possibly at a cost to Synergy) or suffering it (at a cost to health and sanity). The Sin- Eater must feel a deep and moving connection to the Threshold to regain plasm in this fashion. Typically, this means a Sin-Eater generates plasm when suffering damage or testing for degeneration of Synergy as a result of an action taken in conjunction with the Threshold. Some Sin-Eaters become “pain junkies” and deliberately seek out situations in which their Threshold will cause them suffering, thereby giving them a shot of plasm. When a Sin-Eater gains plasm in this fashion, the amount gained depends on how much the Sin-Eater is in conjunction with the Threshold

Lol, well, I'm OK with the concept of my characters getting raped (aside from Sakura's daughter, because it would break her a lot more), but I don't really want them killed. So, getting involved with that might be interesting, if there's a way to avoid the "kill" bit.

Wait, so he'd gain power by torturing Rider? Or does it have to be actually fatal damage to have an effect?

He'd regain plasm, just from doing enough physical pain and violence. Not much, but it'd be something.

Of course, damage done to him is different, and being a Sin Eater means he can't pass out due to pain or the like. I'd think Rider would like that far, FAR more than Law would.

Lol, well, I'm OK with the concept of my characters getting raped (aside from Sakura's daughter, because it would break her a lot more), but I don't really want them killed. So, getting involved with that might be interesting, if there's a way to avoid the "kill" bit.

I wasn't sure if that was a request or not. I was planning to only do implications and the such when it does come time to dish out the more unpleasant actions of the Executioner.

Someone feel free to create a pissed off Luvia that's from that same continuity that wants to pile driver Mille for revenge.

(by the way, this is less to power up Mille and more to get Sapphire over without having to wait for someone to make Luvia. Ruby and Sapphire are going to abandon them both right away during their introduction anyway).
