Ah, that's kind-of a pain in the ass, because I have 5 planned, and don't really want to drop any of them....

Please, try and do something else. If you want that sakura family shit, just write a fanfic for god sakes.

I like being able to play Sakura and her family, though. They're characters that actually interest me. And, whilst Kiyoshi can't fight very well, Sakura, Shirou, Aoi and Rider definitely can. It's not a matter of me bringing in a bunch of characters who can't do anything.

Without Arch's harsh way of saying it perhaps trying something fresh might be good for you? I mean sure Downy is a cool character and all but after using him over and over again even he begins to wear his welcome out a bit. Why not try that yourself?

I don't have any other characters to play, though. I can't do anything with any other route without basically writing a story from scratch to include Sakura, I don't really have any interest in any other anime and I find it hard to write OCs out of nowhere.

Lowered number of max characters per player, a more central plot with an actual antagonist likely managed by the GM, and a more abstract scale for character attributes that doesn't rely on hard numbers.

Now this sounds like something that could really hold my interest.

If 3.0 happens, count me in. I will not port over any of previous chars, but start from clean slate and likely bring one of my campaign NPCs first.

If 3.0 gets added I would just like to make the recommendation that there would be a power cap of sorts, cause how I saw it evolve was that there were a group of just really powerful characters, like Gil, Karna, Phoenix, etc, all of which were powerful and killed tension cause they could just kinda deal with it.

So if someone wants to do a powerful character because they personality is interesting have them make it so because of the nexus their powers are throttled and they can't use all of it.

Well, I don't think it should necessarily be a hard power cap, but certainly characters who can and will just do anything they like without reservation shouldn't be allowed. Because, yeah, they just make all of the other characters basically obsolete. Plus, they can basically do whatever they like to other PCs without anyone being able to stop them, which makes it hard to RP with them.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I just don't think that an OP character should always be banned, if they have a way to be involved that allows everyone else to RP.

That doesn't work, though, because smiting them is too big a deal, so they get away with a hell of a lot of stuff. Further, sometimes it's just impossible for them to avoid abusing it, at least if they want to remain IC.

Back in the day when I played MTG I used Green/Blue.  Which people thought was odd until I wiped the floor with them with my super enchanted Basilisk.

Also, for the reboot I'm not posting stats for my GM villain until the first conflict.  I want to keep that to my chest at first.
