Phoenix saw the blood of the hydra kill its tree, and was half tempted to counteract it. However the Kind Friend used it against the insect. And so Phoenix watched from its roost in the sky.

Then the insect jumped and another beast appeared beneath him. It was a bird whose wings crackled with lightning.

Phoenix would not allow it. The man took to the sky and enslaved a child which Gaia based its model on Phoenix itself. And so Phoenix began to move, the flames dancing along its body and falling to the earth and impossibly hot embers.

And so it moved at high speeds, flying through the air at massive speeds towards that insect-man who took to the sky, to the place where Phoenix reigned supreme.

As the pesky firebird sped towards him, Rider briefly considered his situation. With the hydra driven off and the dragons brought back into the gate, he could use his powers once more. He ordered his own mount forward as this time three of the white dragon heads appeared over his own, conjoining their breath weapons in a trio of arctic waters, freezing the very air as the Thunderbird and the dragon heads flew by the firebird in an attacking dive.

The Sphinx however, suffered horrendous injuries at the hands, or rather, the swords, of the newcomer, and eventually disappeared. It would take a short while for it be restored, to face this newcomer. The newcomer Rider heard proclaim himself a King.

"And what King attacks from the shadows, much less does not prostrate to the King of Kings?"

As he flew past the Phoenix after his dive, he bellowed once more.

"I see! This is not a battlefield for kings, much less for men of courage. This is a farce of cowards. I am done here!"

With that, the wings of the great Thunderbird whipped up an impenetrable black cloud from which a great storm started, keeping pursuers blind as he flew off.

He needed to contact his Master, the Little Flower.

'Flower, let us rendezvous at the apartment. I feel the need for rest and the discussion of my cowardly opponents is in order. Keep the bed warm for me, Ha-ha!'

"i-I'm not forward. My friend Clivell helped me pick them out. I, uh, just went with her suggestions because I'm not really good at that kind of thing. Aha, hahaha", she ended her sentence with a nervous laugh as she clumsily dragged on a new set of panties, sharing the same design as the previous, before beginning to attend to the matching bra.

It was a while later and he had dropped off the cases at his boat docked in the river. He did not know why he felt like going for a walk, but he supposes it is good to move around a bit instead of waiting for new jobs and doing nothing.

That is until he ran into a familiar face. She had light brown hair and was dressed in incredibly out of place clothing, especially considering the light amount of blood. There was not a magus that associated with the Mage Association that did not know who she was, hell, there was probably not a person associated with the magical side of the world that did not know of her.

But even so, he simply walked up to her without so much as a care, “Well, even the Queen herself was sucked to this place it seems. What are the odds?”

Why it is not often that one runs into Barthomeloi Lorelei, the vice-director of the Mage’s Association, in the middle of the street after all.

"The latest Saylor amobae, I presume", noticing the thick scent of saltwater around him. A disgusting scent that records claimed were shared by the all. "What brings you here, or should I ask how you even got here instead? No, wait, that is a foolish question, for when have the Saylor done anything for the sake of anything other than money?"

Downy and Yuuto
Alleyway

"And I believe that is what has happened until now. As for what to do next, I have a few ideas but they may require your cooperation if it is to succeed." Having finally summed up all that he knew while also being quiet about his own background, Downy finished his rant.

"I see... I might agree to help you, but I have one condition. There will be no innocent casualties. Do I make myself clear?" With his voice as deadly serious as ever Yuuto stared straight into Downy's eyes as if judging just how serious he was.

"Hmm... Very well then, if that is what it will take I will agree. However the task ahead will not be easy, unfortunately as I have mentioned before a normal summoning circle does not seem to work, all it has done is brought you here... This leaves me with fewer options then I would normally prefer." Downy gave a shrug of submission as if finally coming to grasp on what he had in store for the future.

"Hmph, fine. I will admit I don't like normally working with others but it seems we have little choice. So then... Where do we go next?" Straight to the point as always Yuuto continued on.

"Ah yes, allow me to explain..." And thus Downy and Yuuto left their dingy ally and into the streets, both of them with their own goals but also with a united purpose.

Lycodrake:
Lycodrake Aptera

He had traveled through the desert and weathered sandstorms before, accompanying Marie, but the fury that the elemental Sphinx lashed at him with surpassed any natural or magic-fueled storm he had endured. The fire did not hurt, but the scathing winds and sand tried to wear down both Aegis and his scales; he was fortunate to have closed his eyes before leaping to aid Enkidu.

Though Enkidu requested his help in throwing him at the arrogant, annoying king, someone else - Gilgamesh!? It was difficult to comphrehend - intervenened and the storm of wind and sand and fire died out to be replaced by a dark cloud above their heads, ready to pour down rain and strike out with thunder and lightning. But that was okay - the confrontation with the "King of Kings" was over.

He shifted back to warg-size slowly and carefully, glad that the blessing of his matron goddess had helped. Now to wait to see how things unfolded amongst the four that remained in the area: himself, Enkidu, the Phoenix, and the hero-king Gilgamesh.

"Your loss", answered Caules with a shrug of his shoulders as he took a seat by the large window looking into the street, waving the knight over as he looked through the glass.

He sat in silence, thinking, until his food arrived, at which point he started the conversation.

"So, it might not just be me, but isn't our current search plan a bit", he stopped briefly to take a bite of his kebab, "inefficient? Going by the map on my phone, this city is larger than Switzerland, and not much easier to navigate, the signal keeps dying and the city guard haven't seen even a slight of my sister. Do you think there's anywhere we can go to get mercenary help? I mean, money's not an issue."

"Oh of course..." The burger he was hesitant to order at first was almost cooked to perfection. Extra onions, crisp lettuce, double patties... whatever the hell that purple shit was that tasted sorta like salsa; it all really hit the big empty spot parading Samuel's stomach ever since he got to Nexus last night. So far all he has seen is other beings just as bizarre as him, meaning this city is stocked full of some fucked up shit. But there was one thing he was beginning to worry they weren't stocked up on...

Ketchup. Truly, this burger was almost perfection. But they forgot the ketchup. The savory taste of crushed tomato paste with god knows what else Heinz adds to that tasty shit. Looking around the tables, it became clear none of them had any bottles of it  present for customer convenience. Normally when any sort of food industry failed to present it, he shrugged it off as lazy catering. But this scenario... was definitely different. Truly, this city wasn't so twisted as to lack one of God's most sacred condiments gifted to human kind?

He glanced at the table near the window. They were the only other customers in this dingy pizza parlor. They were one hell of an odd couple. The first man appeared to be a little rich pretty boy, who'd likely wet himself were he to raise his voice. The other, sitting adjacent fro him, was a muff short of being the dictionary definition of opposite to his companion. Walkin' around in a suit of armor like that made Samuel pretty surprised that the chair he sat on didn't give way to the weight he put onto it.

Never the less, their conversation was going to have to be put on hold. This dilemma could not wait any longer.

"Excuse me fine gentleman!" He paused to assure himself that he had their attention.  "How's those kebabs treatin ya'? Good I'd hope. This burger here, I have to say it's a mighty fine slab of beef. I appreciate a good burger when I taste one. But I feel guilty tellin' myself things that aren't 100% true. If I can't lie to myself how am I suppose to lie to others? Now this burger would be a tasty burger! That is, were it not lacking one mighty important factor every hunk of meat should not have to be cursed to go without: Ketchup. You know what I'm talkin about when I say ketchup right? The think, vinegar-y tomato condiment you spread over almost every one of God's unhealthy gifts to humanity? You wouldn't happen to have some of that over at your table now would you? These fries are also a bit too salty for one to eat without a little red on it either."

He took a short sip of the diet coke in his hand. "In fact, I'd be grateful if you could simply confirm the existence of ketchup for me."

Knick:
Phoenix

Phoenix pulled up from its missed dive at the thunderbird as the man fled using a storm cloud. It could have easily followed him; it did not need to see the man to follow him after all.

It simply landed on the ground and began to chirp and screech in the direction the man fled, almost as if taunting him. It then puffed up its chest in pride for a moment and shrunk to the size of a fully grown man before it began to look around. A light emanated from its body now that the flames subsided. The tree that died due to the hydra’s poison blood began to grow anew and the wounds anyone might have suffered began to heal.

Such is the life giving properties of the sun.

It then noticed the Clay Friend and hopped over to him. It simply stood there for a moment before it began to softly peck at his head a couple of times. At the end of that it started to nibble on his green hair.

Sakura

Sakura was back at the apartment when Ramesses finally arrived. She was simply sitting on a chair as she was infusing her bow properly.

“So Rider, I assume that catastrophic failure of a fight was all according to some grand plan of your’s, correct?” The annoyance in her voice was obvious. “Why you even let the enemy servant escape.”

Sakura then paused before continuing, “At least it was not all a failure, Saber revealed her noble phantasm so he name is obvious. Mordred, the one who rebelled against King Arthur, what a fun coincidence isn’t it?.” She looked Rider in the eyes, “Although, do you know why you could not simply command that Phoenix? I thought all phantasmal beasts but the ones slayed by Gilgamesh were under your domain, even should they not be the ones from your Reality Marble. How could it fight against you?”

It was obvious Sakura was taking this seriously. If there was a way to circumvent Rider’s dominion over the beasts of Gaia it would be a great weakness. Even at night when he had access to the boat of Ra.

Meanwhile in her workshop insect familiars were busy at work constructing the bounded field that was around the apartment, the saliva of Moby Dick having greatly enhanced their growth rate.

----------------------

Shiro

Shiro slightly wilted at that, he could fly to?

Guess mages from wherever he is from are far different, but the age thing was slightly easier to swallow, most powerful magi could extend their lives. Either way he should keep that in mind.

“Well, anyway. You are definitely competent. Would you mind sending some people over to my church while I find somewhere to lie down? I just need a bit. You did a fair number on me after all.”

----------------------

Zolgen

“I am afraid I currently have a sensitive work in place at my workshop, however I have a secure location not too far from here. The bugs will lead you. Oh, and bring the interesting specimen.”

And with that Zolgen was no more, and a small swarm of bugs hovered near Grigori, ready to lead him to the meeting point in the sewers.

----------------------

Amy

“Well, I would like to meet your friend should I ever get the chance. I feel like we would get along.” She smiled at Fiore. “Now come on let’s get you to bed.”

Wheeling Fiore out of the bathroom she moved her over to where they would be sleeping. Mille was lying down on the far side of the bed, but Amy could not tell if she was awake. Softly picking up Fiore, Amy placed her in the middle.

“There you go. Your turn if you want to wash up Mille, I am going to hit the hey myself.” And with that she got into bed next to Fiore.

----------------------

Benjamin

“’Amoeba’ huh? Did you come up with that on the spot? Or do you have a book you write them down in in advance?” He retorted his voice a simple calm.

“But in all seriousness my ship was brought to this place at random. Rather annoying to not have anyone know your name, makes finding jobs so much harder.” He looked up at the sky; remember the slight difficulty he had in making a notable name in this city. At least that was done and over with.

He then noted the small ash stain on the pavement, and noticed the light matching smell in the air. He blinked before looking at her again, “What is with the ash?” It was an honest question. Did she already murder some poor sap who crossed her? She can't be that poorly adjusted can she, to just murder some random guy like that?
