Cross Effects: Rebirth (2.0) The RP
Daiki:
He didn't have the words. All he could do in this very instant was to observe silently the figure clad in gold getting rid of the Sphinx. The shining vault's openings rippling in the air as so many treasures were thrown at the beast. He had been hoping to see again this very radiance. How much did he long for meeting again this man capable of radiating such charisma. It had been a wish he never thought would be being granted.
Noises were gone and he couldn't even see his surroundings. His interest in pursuing the fleeing opponent was null. He didn't notice how his wounds caused by the Hydra's poison vanished. Nor did he pay attention to his draconic companion reverting to his original form. Even when the Phoenix insisted to catch his attention, Enkidu didn't react. He simply walked to get closer to the source of their victory.
"My King."
These words were spoken with all the respect and admiration one could mutter when exposed to the King of Uruk. However, as much as his instinct told him to, Enkidu didn't bend the knee before Gilgamesh. For he was the only man equal to him now and forever. The only one capable to stand by his side. The only one privileged enough to show such arrogance.
He was his friend.

Staff Sergeant Jonathan Mathews

"Today's your lucky day, boy scout. So where's this 'guardswoman'?"

"She's down this alley. Wait here, we'll bring her to the vehicle!" And with that, Mathews started sprinting back. 'There is still hope, yet...
The three of them were still where he left them. Togg was still holding onto Samantha while the Dragoon stood a ways away. Approaching them, Jonathan turned to the gilded soldier, "Help me remove her fuel tank. I got her a ride, but she'll need to lay down."
The Dragoon hesitated, but did what he asked. While fiddling with the straps, Mathews noted two deep cuts on her upper right arm; the wounds had to be from the fight, but they already look horribly infected. Once they got it off Samantha's sickly form, the Staff Sergeant turned to the abhuman "Togg, I'm going to put the Heavy Flamer in your rucksack. After I do that, lift Cardigan up and carry her while following me. Do you understand?"
"Yez Sir." Was the Bone 'ead's grunted reply.
"Good."
After stuffing the Corporal's weapon into the giant man's rucksack, Togg lifted Samantha and held her like a newborn child, and Jonathan urged both him and the Dragoon to follow him. If the vehicle driver to have listened to him and stayed put, Jonathan was sure that Specialist Cardigan could be saved.

Chosen Undead
The Knight was taken aback by the man who walked up to the table. Guessing that the man wanted the little red cylinder that was on the table, he grabbed it and held it towards the guest, trying his best to speak clearly despite not really knowing what to say "Is...this what you wanted?"
...The Undead was thankful that his face guard was down, hiding his expression. The look of confusion that was no doubt plastered on his face would be an embarrassing spectacle.
Cherry Lover:
Rider watched as her nail passed straight through the being. Even so, her attack seemed to have the desired effect, and it pulled back from Kiyoshi.
Kiyoshi lay in the bed, exhausted and terrified from the attack, but clearly still alive and with no obvious signs of harm. Rider ran to his side and grabbed hold of the boy, attempting to comfort him as best as she could.
Before she could say anything, though, she heard a voice in her head.
I need you to leave. My brothers will not extend the same courtesy, and your presence here is but an annoyance to my plans. Or maybe a benefit. Stay then if you feel like it - if you can feel, it said.
Rider glared daggers at the being as it hopped onto the headboard. The monster had just attacked Kiyoshi, and yet it had the gall to ask her for a favour.
Besides, it's been a long time since I have talked to someone without a true body, it continued.
Tell me, what is a whelp like that doing in the company of a being like you?
"A..aunty Rider", Kiyoshi moaned, somewhat weakly.
"Shh, it's OK, it won't hurt you any more" she said, hugging the boy tightly.
Then, she turned back to stare at the monster.
"You attack and hurt someone I am protecting, and then you have the gall to demand that I leave him defenceless for the sake of your plans? Why should I care what your plans require?" she said, angrily.
"As for why I am protecting him, this boy is my master's son. I love her as I would my own sister, and I love her children in the same way. I will not allow her or her family to come to any harm, no matter what the circumstances".
YOLF:
Fate
He nodded, assenting to Shiro's request.
"Naturally. I'll send three fully equipped squads for the time being, and we can adjust our arrangement later."
Putting his hands in his pockets, Fate walked over towards the remaining soldiers who had not scrambled for cover or outright ran from the seats surrounding the area. Ignoring the dumbfounded recruits and shaking officers, he addressed the lieutenant in full armor unsteadily supporting himself against a wall.
"Lt. Charleston. Lend me your comm. I need to make arrangements for a detachment to be sent somewhere."
Righting himself from his stupor, the man quickly saluted and detached a piece from his helmet he handed to his superior. Fate took it without a pause and adjusted it over his ear. He was pinging communications and walking past the group when he stopped for a second and looked back to speak. "Show my guest to the infirmary and get him medical attention if he requires it."
"Yes sir!" Charleston replied. He turned to one of the stunned rookies on the floor and barked out orders to go warn one of their medics, and approached Shiro to lead him to the place.
Meanwhile, Fate wandered off, giving instructions through the comm.

<Love. How quaint. An emotion divorced from rationality. What does one gain from love? Endorphins. I've felt love before, and I find it boring.> Really, the sniveling of the Whelp made him sick. <And your promises are hollow. If I wished it I could take his body as my own, wear his skin until it rotted away, or kill the body just to feel death. You should not lie to him. Such actions tempt me to show you the truth.>
The Hunter of Strix rotated his head slightly, leaning forward. <The truth, that you have no power to stop me. The only reason I haven't done as I said is because I simply do not wish to do so at the moment, Spirit. Reject your human emotions, for they lie. I do not. Whether or not you like my plans has no effect on them. I am merely being courteous in giving you the illusion of choice.>
