Arch-Magos Winter:
--- Quote from: StrayKat on July 24, 2014, 10:47:36 AM ---Mordred noticed the blood splattered over the car. "I don't think you just ran over that beast?" Hopping in the car, she chastised Law "Fool, next time when I fight him stay away from the battlefield, you have pissed off that arrogant dude for sure. I won't even ask what the hell you were thinking. Though..." Mordred paused, with faint smile on her face "I'm glad you are still alive"
--- End quote ---
Law
"Someone hit me actually. And ditto. I'm glad you made it out of there." Law shifted the car into gear looking for a fueling station and car wash. "I piss off people all the time, one more won't hurt me. I don't die easily."
You can thank me for that.
'Who ever said I'm not grateful for you saving my fucking ass?'
--- Quote from: Elf on July 25, 2014, 08:41:33 PM ---Forest frowned at Archer's words. His concern was reasonable; after all she was a vampire. Normally vampires didn't act as medical professionals or administer first aid. Not to say her control was limitless, but a firm voice in her head, that sounded like a combination of Wynn, Gabriel and, Ash, said, It has been two days since you last fed. Last time you were up close to potentially that much blood you'd made sure to binge on a werewolf before Wynn went into Labor.
Still, she scowled, nodded, and went to hold him down as Karna stepped in to help. There was a look of annoyance on the stoic god's face as Archer gripped the blood coated bit of metal. From Karna's hold, Forest knew Lucas wasn't going anywhere.
"Wait," she said, pulling off the belt of her jeans and securing it to Lucas's arm above the rebar. She pulled it tight and made sure she could wiggle her finger in between the man's skin and her make shift tourniquet. "One. Two. Three, pull the sodding thing out!"
--- End quote ---
EMIYA
Archer eyed the quick tourniquet with the eye of one who'd had to make more than a few himself.
"One. Two. Three, pull the sodding thing out!"
On three, Archer yanked the rebar free like he'd done before, hard and sudden. Blood spurted out - not unexpected, considering the location. A nicked artery for sure. The scent of iron filled the air and Archer felt some splatter against his front. Far less than there would be without that tourniquet, he could tell.
"Break that arm into place." archer said quickly, stepping out of the way for Forest to do her work - this was a little out of his range of expertise.
Umbra of Chaos:
--- Quote from: Knick on July 23, 2014, 03:19:08 PM ---“I am afraid that it is far too sensitive to discuss, you will see the results in due time, however I must say it is my finest work. The only reason I am even here in the flesh and not currently attending to it is because my side projects required my actual presence to make sure the familiars are properly attuned to me.” Zolgen explained.
--- End quote ---
"Your finest work? You've aroused my curiosity, Zolgen. I hope you will inform me when it is almost completed." Grigori had not expected Zolgen to tell her that much about his project. She will have to keep an eye on him. A magus as skilled as Zolgen should be capable of making something entertaining.
--- Quote ---“But I must say, something has recently been interacting with the Ley lines. Do you know anything about that Grigori?”
--- End quote ---
"I have an ally doing some work with theme. We have a little surprise for the whole city."
--- Quote ---“You may place the creature here should you desire. We can examine it together if you wish.”
--- End quote ---
The orb floated over to the table, dissapeared, and released the creature. If Zolgen wished to examine the creature he could contain it himself. Having him contain it would also give Grigori a chance to see what else he could do with magic.
The Man With All The Cute Boats:
--- Quote from: Umbra of Chaos on July 21, 2014, 03:22:24 AM ---"Run, Hunter!"
--- End quote ---
Easier said than done. As soon as Paladin bolted, the rag man was hot on his heels.
I raised my Inferno Revolver and fired at him. As soon as I pulled the trigger, his huge, bear head shifted ever so slightly towards me.
It happened in less than a second. The projectile lava blasted towards him, and he turned back into a human and fell just fast enough to be untouched. The shot continued to melt through the wall on the other side of the alley, while he stumbled from his fall. Without thinking, I ran between him and the direction Paladin had run.
He'd made it abundantly clear he could catch up as a bear if we tried to run. I needed something more... permanent.
Okay, straight alley, cops coming from the front, angry bear guy also in front of me. Couldn't just run though, Bear would catch us. Hole in the right wall, my shot, and a fire escape up above. Oh, there we go. There was a man on the fire escape, no doubt drawn by the noises and his own curiosity.
"Don't move!" A voice said from the other side of the alley, and I realized things must have been happening while I was thinking. Cops had caught up with me. Weird, since my peripheral vision would have let me know if bear man had moved, which he hadn't since I started thinking.
I looked down at him. He looked up at me intensely.
"YOUR SMELL, WHAT ARE YOU?!" He bellowed, until he jumped up energetically. "NEVER MIND THAT! WHY DO YOU STAND BETWEEN ME AND THE PENGUIN SLAYER?!"
Did think only paladin was involved? But then, he mentioned smell. I didn't jump in and get penguin blood on my shoes, so I must smell innocent to him.
"He's an interesting person. I reckon I'd observe him a little longer," I said, wondering what the best angle would be for my plan. Definitely not where I was standing, I'd have to shoot through the bystander to get my target. A little more forward? But then if I advance, both he and the cops will react. He was something, but the cops and the guns were something else. I couldn't draw their fire, not in this small an alleyway.
"HE WHO DEFENDS A MURDERER CAN ONLY BE A VILLAIN! PREPARE YOURSELF FOR NATURE'S WRATH, METED OUT THROUGH MY FISTS!" He yelled out again, before advancing onto me.
Well, that works.
I I walk at him, meeting him halfway. A small part of my mind decides to point out that I have my angle, but it's immediately blocked out by a much louder part telling me I had a right jab coming.
Wasn't going to work on me, pal. I've seen your trick. Instead of moving back, I move to the side. His hand turns into a bear paw and harmlessly hits nothing with its added range and power.
I couldn't counter with my right hand, it was holding my gun. So instead, I twist and try to hook him with my left. A complete amateur's punch, which he easily dodged by pulling his head back. He pulled his jab back and back handed me right in the jaw, making me fall with my back against the alley wall.
I saw stars, had a circus in my head, flopped like spaghetti and more. For a second, I was entirely out of it. He stood above me, checking me out, and I almost heard cops moving in.
A thought occurred to me: Down here, I had a really good angle. It might be worth the shot.
I grabbed the Inferno Revolver with both hands the same way someone would hold an assault rifle and fired straight up, where my assailant's face was sniffing me, four times.
"WHAT?!" He shouted in surprise as he nimbly got out of the way, and out of my face.
He was not the target, though. Four shots went straight upwards, melting and destroying supports for the fire escape until only the two lowest supports we left. The entire construct shook and started leaning outwards slowly, until it fully decided to fall.
Bear looked at me, and I pointed up. Oh no, there was a man falling with the fire escape, someone help him!
"YOU FIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND!" He yelled as he turned into a gigantic eagle, soaring upwards and catching the man as he did so.
I wasted no time. While the cops reeled at the sight of destruction, I ran away, out of the alley. In the street, I found a manhole with a penguin on it, a clear message. I pulled it off and jumped in, just to see paladin.
"Howdy," I could only say, with an undoubtedly bruised chin.
Brahmastra:
--- Quote from: Knick on July 26, 2014, 05:01:28 AM ---Sakura
“Being womanly has nothing to do with panicking over an easily manageable situation. That is just being stupid.” She leaned against the railing and faced Rider. “And really Rider, if you acted more like a gentleman and less like a letch I might let myself be a little more expressive around you.”
She then walked back inside before stopping, “Also Rider, Golems tend not to feel annoyance. You should probably brush up on your knowledge of magecraft.”
--- End quote ---
"Pff, Magecraft. There is no point in learning about what cannot harm you and what you cannot use. Magecraft never slew dragons, toppled kingdoms or made the integrity of a king", Rider scoffed aside with a confident glint of his teeth. Besides his Reality Marble, no magic mumbo-jumbo was relevant to him. The gods had granted him resistance against such things.
"The world revolves around the powers of man. Heroes who fought dragons, men who fought a dozen others with a stick and leaders who rallied millions under his name simply because he was better than them. But since such things are impossible in the world today, I guess the world revolves around... nothing."
--- Quote from: Knick on July 26, 2014, 05:01:28 AM ---Amy
Amy simply laughed at Fiore’s reaction before letting her go. She then got out of bed, feeling awake after that exchange.
“No use hiding it Fiore” She said while stretching, “A perverted girl like yourself should just accept their nature.”
Meanwhile Proxy just sighed, “Well, if you two are just going to play around I will go make sure you have a table to eat breakfast downstairs.” And with that there was suddenly a white haired man dressed in a butlers outfit picking up Proxy, “Please do not keep me waiting too long while you play.” It was still Proxy’s voice, but now it came from the man’s mouth.
Amy simply frowned at the man and rabbit, “Aww, your no fun.”
--- End quote ---
"I-I'm not a pervert. You're that much of a lech that you fondle people in your sleep, Amy. For shame", she said with a pout, as she took her clothes from one of the nightstands and began to awkward shuffle into her black pants. She'd normally ask for help but with Amy as she was at the moment, she reasoned it a bad idea.
Trying to not provoke the lewd girl any further, Fiore covered herself with her silk shirt and began to button up her jacket.
Knick:
Zolgen
‘So that spirit that Girgori was with is up to something,’ Zolgen thought, ‘I should make sure my bounded fields are as strong as possible, just in case.
The moment the beast touched the table the circles on it activated. Water wrapped around it like chains and a large bubble formed to make sure any gasses or particle it releases when being dissected do not reach Zolgen.
Then the Zolgen held out his hand showing the worms sitting on it, each of them partially developed into bladeworms, and allowed them to enter the sphere. Slowly they swam though the liquid before arriving that the bound beast and began to slowly and steadily cut away at it.
Sakura
“You should still respect the power of magecraft, even if it poses less of a danger to you than it does to most you are not unaffected by it.” Sakura stated, “After all it is what allowed you to be reborn into the world.”
It was such a simple truth that most servants seem to overlook. Without magecraft they would not even exist in the current world. And even then, it was often a massive part of the legends of many heroes, from the Knights of the Round Table, many Irish myths, and even to Saint George a catholic saint.
Amy
Amy snickered as she started to get dressed. Proxy having left a mere moment ago, “I can’t help it Fiore, your just so adorable when your face goes all red like that.”
She then realized something, “I am surprised you did not react to Proxy’s artificial form randomly showing up, especially since it is a guy. Or are you so used to men showing up in your room unannounced when you’re getting dressed?”
