Staff Sergeant Jonathan Mathews:
--- Quote from: Daiki on July 29, 2014, 06:31:01 PM ---"Come on, man. Let's go fetch the rest of the doc's stuff."

"...Yeah, let's." Jonathan blandly stated, mind blank. It took the man another few seconds to pull his eyes away from the putrid infection before he followed the stranger back to Henry's car. How can she be so close to death? She was only hurt not even a standard hour before...
Jonathan's mind went to his othe-former squadmates, how they were picked off almost one-by-one during the charge and resulting attack on the greater daemo. How Corporal Jackson was gut by a demonic sword or how Private Radcliffe was pounded into the earth by a giant fist. Never before has he seen everyone under his command be wiped out.
"I'm going to have to shoot her, won't I?" Mathews whispered, his eyes doing the thousand-yard stare. Maybe that Dragoon was right...
Alice:
Rin
--- Quote from: Lancer ---Lancer smirked and said, "Well, its a date then. How about I come back around four tomorrow after noon. It'll give you a chance to rest up and then I can give you the grand tour of Nexus."
--- End quote ---
She smirked back. "I can agree to that. I'll be looking forward to it. Just don't be late~"
Hakuno, Archer
Hakuno's cheeks puffed up at Wynn's statement in spite of her dizziness, like a little chipmunk. "I can handle it."
One look at her skin color and how desperately she was hanging onto his side told Archer otherwise. Thankfully not having noticed his other self yet, he spoke to his Master. "You're managing pretty decently right now, but you're not going to hold out for long. You'll get your chance later, but for now, let's get you in the other room so you can sit down for a bit."
Hakuno was about to make an objection when she found herself being swept off her feet and into Archer's arms. She... honestly couldn't object to that much at least.
Archer turned back and addressed Forest, still not seeing the other Archer, as focused as he was on other things. "I'm going to take her upstairs, then I'll be back." With that, he made his way out of people's way and back up the stairs, headed towards the living room.
"I just wanted to be useful."
Hakuno's eyes were downcast. Even finally having Archer do something halfway romantic wasn't enough to squelch how she felt.
"You'll get your chance. People far tougher looking and with more experience than you have fainted outright at a room like that. Honestly, you didn't do too bad."
Hakuno couldn't help but smile at that.
"For now though? Honestly, you can still help, but not in there. I'll ask for you." He shook his head. "Not that I won't still need to keep an eye on you. You're always getting into trouble."
Hakuno sighed at that. And found herself a bit jostled as Archer came to a sudden stop. The Servant himself was facing a pair of rather irritated looking amethyst eyes...
"All the noise is making it difficult to sleep. Or read. What's going on down there?"
Hakuno looked up at the psychic in surprise. She hadn't expected to see him.
"Some casualties in the basement, not sure from where," said Archer. "Not sure what happened otherwise."
Hakuno raised an eyebrow at Archer being so helpful. Then realized he probably just figured he could get her to where he wanted to take her faster this way.
The psychic sighed, visibly irritated. "I suppose if I go down there and lend my aid, it will silence the noise that much faster."
"Probably, I think anyway," Hakuno said, perhaps a touch too eagerly.
The visible irritation on Tom's face seemed to get worse. "Fine. If only to help me get some peace and quiet, I will help how I can."
He made his way past them, not stopping for an instant. With a shrug, Archer finished his trip to the living room and placed Hakuno on the couch.
"I guess there's no hurry to go down there right away. I'll fix you something to eat before I go down."
Hakuno nodded. She knew at least the food would help her feel better faster. As Archer took off to fix her a quick meal, she rested, waiting patiently as she got her strength back.
Tom
The psychic made his way into the room and towards Forest with grace, but little decorum. The smell hit him hard, but it did not bother him. He had smelled just as bad during those last few years at the lab, and the smell affected him little now. A part of him became fearful, but it wasn't nearly enough to send him into a panic attack. Not hesitating for a moment, he addressed his vampiric host.
"I hear that you have wounded that need attending to. What aid can I lend you?"
Puck-Chan:
Henry: Forest's Compound - Infirmary, Day 2
He could see Forest and a man in scarlet still grasping upon the drawn metallic length of the rebar from the knee. Henry normally would've rebuked them for removing it without any preparations, but they made a tourniquet to cut off the blood flow in order to prevent deadly hemorrhaging. Not exactly something amateurs should be doing, but... at least it's something.
--- Quote ---"Hey, wait, you've got almighty god powers and whatnot right? I think now might be a good time to use them."
--- End quote ---
Forest had a point. Karna was descended from the Sun, at least that was said in Hindu legends. If it were true, it is quite possible he could eradicate whatever is ailing this dying woman. It was no normal wound, he knew this for sure.
"It'll save me time to work on this one," Henry agreed as he started to roll up the blue sleeves of his dress shirt. The doctor started to walk over to where his waiting patient would be.
--- Quote ---"Come on, man. Let's go fetch the rest of the doc's stuff."
--- End quote ---
"Get the ones with white boxes. Wooden," he called behind him, "I need them."
--- Quote ---"I'm going to have to shoot her, won't I?"
--- End quote ---
He stopped again to call back, this time at Matthews obviously letting the despair to sink in. Not that he could blame him with how she was smelling and with what kinds of diseases are finally setting into her system. "Just get the boxes and leave it to us. She'll be fine. Got it, boy scout? No one's dying today because we're telling Death to fuck off."
Henry shook his head and sighed once the two were gone to the garage. As he finally strode over to the bed, his eyes grew to the eyes of saucers once he recognized who this is. Lucas. The creature who went to fight against Grigori. The one so abound with energy draining from the very earth.
"Quite the beating you got there, huh?" Henry remarked as he examined the wounds.
He was like a porcupine of metal and of concrete. There were more pieces of rebar sticking out from the hips, arms, legs-- They were everywhere. Even if a normal human could survive being penetrated in so many places, there was still blood poisoning from the metal to worry about. That said, they still need to be pulled out for his regeneration to function properly. Most pronounced of all was the piece of concrete that took up his whole torso. Possibly a piece of a pillar...
Henry had to whistle at the bit of handiwork. Whoever did this is scary... Very.
Just right before he could do anything, conveniently enough, Wynn came out from her shadows. Probably drawn to the noise emanating from the basement. With stone gone from the chest, it looks like the worst of the wounds would be fixed with Lucas' healing potential with the bed stained with a bit of scarlet.
"Well that saves me the effort at least," he thought in a dead pan.
Henry noticed the eyes were starting to open. The doctor had to be in awe of how fast the creature can recover. But he still needs those rebars out.
Before allowing the creature to gain full consciousness, he pulled out a small box. Upon opening would be a number of sterilized copper needles. With his hands gliding over and around his patient's neck, a sliver of copper stuck behind his neck all the while cutting off nerve signals from traveling to the rest of the body and from the body to the brain. Complete paralysis through numbing, an effect of Black Moon Style's Splitting Moon.
Probably the best thing to do considering he might get violent again.
"Morning, Snow White. Took you a while," he greeted him, "I'll let you go once I fix you up. Alright?"

She's dying, Forest realized grimly. Then she looked at Karna. "Hey, wait, you've got almighty god powers and whatnot right? I think now might be a good time to use them." She pointed at the rotting woman, knowing that despite Henry's abilities, this was out of his league.

--- Quote from: MissingMandible on July 28, 2014, 06:00:25 AM ---Staff Sergeant Jonathan Mathews:
Upon arriving at the infirmary, Jonathan made a bee-line for one of the beds. He ignored the other occupants of the room, promptly following procedure dictated by the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer by removing Specialist Cardigan's right shoulder pad, pulling out a knife and started cutting the clothe around her right arm. Upon removal, Mathews witnessed the extent of Samantha's wound...
The cuts, though deep, would not have been life threatening by any stretch. However, the foul concoctions of Nurgle has made everything turn for the worse. The area was many shades of green and black. There was no blood, only pus. There were maggots crawling out of the open, festering wounds while more were noticably moving around just under the tainted skin. The smell was atrocious, the likes that Mathews has only experienced around the mass graves.
And Jonathan had no idea what to do! This isn't an enemy that he knows how to overcome. The Uplifting Primer is not a surgeon's handbook. And he was even more afraid, by the Emperor was he afraid...

Karna sighed. Truly he was surrounded by helpless children. But such was the fate of the poor around Karna. He would reward them for living contently despite their inferiority. He summoned a normal arrow out of thin air and put the shaft between the woman's lips.
"Bite down on this rather than your own tongue, this procedure will hurt."
Understating the obvious, Karna's hand waved over the wound as Cardigan's entire arm was set alight. The cleansing flames of the sun consumed it, and though it did not actually burn any untainted flesh, it was still thousands of degrees of heat applied to the limb. Of course, whether not the difference was visible to others was not Karna's concern. He would have to cleanse it before it was worth even considering healing it.
--- Quote from: Knick on July 29, 2014, 12:53:13 AM ---Benjamin
Benjamin would not admit it to anyone but he was actually enjoying this. A business opportunity which was mixed with pleasure was rare and something he greatly loved having the opportunity to experience, not to mention the Queen was rather impressive to watch. He stood on the roof of a building as he shoots pressurized streams down at fleeing targets, making sure not to hit unrelated folk.
And then something blitzed him and sent him flying. He was unable to collect his bearings before he hit the ground, oddly landing right next to Lorelei almost as if it was intended.
Slowing getting up he gripped his cannons tighter. That actually hurt, not the fall of course but whatever hit him. Slowly he looked around with his magic eye, trying to find what it was.
And then something land on top of a streetlight.
“Ya know. I have seen kids with a lot of problems. But it is rare to see a pair that pisses me off as much as you have.”
It was a cat. It stood on its hind legs and had an eye patch and yellow jacket. On its back were a pair of swords that shared the same sheath.
“Now normally, I would let other people handle it. I prefer to not get involved with the crazies of the city. It gives my shop bad publicity, ya know?”
The cat looked down at the pair with nothing but contempt and anger.
“But with what you two young’uns are doing, I have to draw a line.”
--- End quote ---
"And who exactly do you think you are stopping us from cleaning out these monsters, cat?" Lorelei snarled.

--- Quote from: Elf on July 30, 2014, 04:28:30 AM ---Gabriel had gotten two apples and an orange. He was about to shadow back downstairs and help things progress between his godmother and the man called Archer when he heard someone knocking on the door. Scowling, he knew it wasn't the Dear Detective or his adorable new partner.
Quinn had designed and supervised the "mundane" part of the security system. He knew the access code to the door, and knocking wasn't his style. The dhampire would just break in when he chose to, his head full of dark and deviant thoughts towards his mentor. Fantasies that Gabriel could see in full technicolor and surround sound; fantasies that made his skin crawl and his blood run cold.
Still, curious to see who was knocking at his Godmother's chamber door he Shadowed to it. He opened the door and saw the man in the black leather duster with almost military bearing. The fit and cut of the duster reminded him of times he'd rather forget.
"If you are part of a religious organization, I regretfully inform you that the head of this household is a pagan and won't be swayed no matter how bright your fliers are printed," Gabriel said as means of greeting.
--- End quote ---
"Worry not, gentleman. I have abandoned and denounced all affiliations to any religious organization and it would be hypocritical of me to do so at this present time." He answered in his usual monotonic way. Rattus noticed how the man looked, especially the color of his long black hair. It was as dark as an abyss, he thought to himself. This, aside from the way he dressed, made him at least conclude that this man, whatever his current position in this warehouse-like residence, is not a normal human being.
"Since you have implied that you are not the head of this household, then may I request an audience with him or her?" He asked him. "By extension, please allow me to enter this household and take some of the head's time."
