Cross Effects: Rebirth (2.0) The RP
Elf:
Quinn smirked as Revy glared at him and slid his hands into his pockets. He said, "Welcome to fucking Nexus."
Saber grinned and said, "I do not hold anyone's leash. All I can do is make suggestions and hope that they do not fall on death ears."
As Rock and Revy departed, Quinn shook his head and looked up at Lancelot. So, he maybe in his fucking My Love is Like a Truck mode still, the detective thought. When he had shook Saber's hand when he first met her about a week ago, the undertow of the vision he'd been suck down into had left him unresponsive for a good two minutes. He'd seen so much; it was still fresh on her despite centuries of a time span.
Then he had to come clean with her and she returned the favor. Honesty was something very important to the (former) King of Knights and Quinn respected that. Lancelot suggested that they should leave and Saber was right. Another thing the two of them had in common was they had heightened metabolisms which meant they had to eat a lot and that meant they were always hungry.
So, he was taking a bit of a perverse delight in introducing Saber to 21st century American food.
He tilted his head and said, "The Brewery?"
The blond's green eyes lit up like fucking fireworks before she looked at Lancelot. She said, "Modern fare . . . it can be so delightful. Come, it is fairly private so we can talk and dine at the same time. I can also introduce you to this wonder called 'pizza'."

Forest blinked as the tea was pressed into her hand. She said, "I'm just wondering what is on the roof. I probably have a bloody bird shaped hole from that dotty phoenix . . . "
Even though she had more than enough insurance, replacing everything would be impossible. Not to mention this was her home.
"Coming through, I'll be out of your way soon enough. I just want to get these to Forest while they're at their best."
It was the other Archer. She could hear the differences in their voices. There was something harsher and more cynical in - she wanted to say hers but that wasn't right - the Archer before her than the man pushing his way into her room with a tray full of deserts.
"Oh," she said, blinking, "Thank you . . ."

Lancer smirked and swept Rin into his arms before shooting out of the hotel like a bolt of blue lightening. Rider might be the fastest overall Servant, but Lancer had her on short distances, and the distance between the hotel and the police department was "short" to the Celt.
It was far different than Archer's jumping "falling with style", Lancer was running at superhuman speeds, kicking icy wind and snow as he went.

"If you just wanted to get inebriated there are liquors with higher content than absinthe and possibly taste better. Come, I will show you how to properly chase the Green Fairy," Wynn said with a smile as she extended her hand.
Puck-Chan:
--- Quote ---Forest blinked at Henry's statement and said, "Well, when you can't go out for twelve or more hours of the day, you need space. If not, you go a little nutters."
--- End quote ---
"Ah, right. I forgot about that," he apologetically stated with a rueful rub on the back of his neck, "Sorry."
Henry had forgotten about how vampires would have to remain in-doors for that moment. It was a boon that he could still have some movement outside of the confines of his stuffy clinic. But now he was just feeling really stupid of himself to miss something so obvious in this kind of setting.
"Right. I think I'll make my exit--"
--- Quote ---She was about to open the door and ask what did they want when there was a loud crash over head that made the building shake.
"Oh, what now?" Forest asked, her voice thick with sarcasm.
--- End quote ---
What now, indeed," Henry thought in deadpan.
"I take it that this much activity isn't usual around here," he remarked with his eyes glancing at the ceiling.
Whatever was making a commotion over on the roof, it was likely that man-bird. What in the world is he doing right now? Henry was already having a feeling his stay in this compound wasn't going to be as monotonous nor peaceful as he hoped.
Henry then offered, "I can go check it out for you. Probably should take a breather for once and I need to start being useful for once around here."

"I say that the taste of unlouched absinthe meets my demands as a consumer and never fails to fulfill my satisfaction." The arms dealer said, as if he was unmoved by the lady's offer. However, he then said, "But since you have offered to drink with me, I say that this is one occasion where I must drink it traditionally, since it would be rudeness to refuse such."
He then took her hand, bowed down and said "Lead me be, my lady."
Kaze:
LANCELOT
Quinn’s suggestion of dining a brewery made Lancelot frown, and not just because he didn’t trust the . . . man . . . whatever he was. While he appreciated a good drink as much as the next warrior, he had already caused one spectacle without any help from alcohol, and intoxication would only compound the problem. Before he could voice his misgivings however, Arturia turned and gave him a radiant smile while explaining how delicious the food here was.
Lancelot blinked, and then blinked again. The former King of Knights, the one he had fought beside for so many years, was standing before him undisguised as a normal young woman. She no longer wore any garments of royalty, her hair was no longer tightly contained in her usual regal bun, and she seemed to be maybe just a year or two older than he remembered.
And she was smiling. He had never seen her wear such a sincere smile until today. The Knight of the Lake came to the startling realization that for all the time she had spent masquerading as a man, Arturia Pendragon was actually a very lovely girl.
Lancelot’s brain threatened to dribble out of his ears. He averted his eyes, his mind racing desperately to distract himself and explain what the fuck was wrong with everything. The city, his former king, the voices in his head . . . none of it made sense. It was as though some twisted god of madness and discord had created a world in its own image and had just dropped him right into it.
Merlin. This is all Merlin's fault, that sick, sick fuck.
“Let us depart,” the dark knight bit out through clenched teeth, refusing to look at the blond. He did, however, keep a close watch on her supposed partner. While Arturia had expressed her trust in Quinn, Lancelot could not help the uneasy feeling that fanged smile gave him.
Knick:
Amy
Amy’s eye twitched a bit as she was ignored by the blond. Was she really ignoring them? That stuck up...
She then took a deep breath, “Calm down Amelia, she probably has business with Mille.” She whispered to herself. Proxy however had a different idea, believing it felt far too serious in the room.
Its rainbow fur crackled with power and shifted to a blue color for but a moment, and in that moment water from the pool shot into the air, falling on the group a second later.
Proxy then broke down into laughter as its human form stared at them with a slight smirk.
Amy simply stood, water dripping from her cloths and hair, starring at her child with a smoldering glare. Too bad her soaked hair and clothes made it not very intimidating.
