The beautiful bird hopped off Forest's shoulder, growing in size as it did. She felt a twinge of guilt at the sudden droop of its stature. All it wanted to do was cheer her up, and she wished she could have been cheered by something as simple as the creature's song.
Just her needs were more . . . complex than that.
Dan emerged from the Danger Room, in obvious good cheer. "Seriously? It's alright if I raid the kitchen then Forest?"
Then he picked up the bird, cradling it close, complementing its song. He looked back at her and said, "So, where'd you put my coat? Anything you need before I eat and pass out?"
She gestured and said, "Go right ahead. Just beware the gorgeous Faerie noble and the asshole Indian god. Eat to your lycanthropic's heart content. Your coat's in one of the rooms down here and its safe. Let me tell Henry what car he can use and then I'll go get it."
She pointedly ignored the "Anything you need" question. What I need I'm never going to get . . .
However at the comments from both Henry and Dan about the phoenix's name, she smirked and said, "Why don't we call it Jean? I mean, it's a cross-gender name and all. Plus, it's a phoenix. What else are you going to call it other than maybe Grey? And Henry, take the BMW M5. It's the dark blue car, and the only Beemer sedan in the garage. Its got some power to it, so be careful."
She pulled a key chain with keys out of her pocket and threw it at the unusual man.

Gabriel chuckled as he rinsed himself off. "Well, I'll join you soon enough. I need to talk to my Godmother. I wouldn't have brought you home if I wanted this to be a one time thing."

Wynn raised her eyebrows and asked, "What in the name of the Lord and Lady is karha?"

Lancer eyed the picture, sighed and said, "I'm sorry, lass. The image of your brother isn't enough. I need something of his, something with his scent on it, ye ken?"
