Cross Effects: Rebirth (2.0): The Velvet Room

(1/15) > >>

Elf:
Gabriel Umbra smirked as he walked into the plush surroundings.  A table appeared before him with a plate of doughnuts, a bottle of scotch, and a thick cut glass.  He adjusted his suit before smiling at everyone in the room and pouring himself a glass of scotch.

"Good evening everyone, I would like to welcome you to The Velvet Room," Gabriel said before taking a sip of scotch and nodding at the audience.

"This is a Free RP thread where things can happen that have no impact on the game.

"Your characters exist, but think of them existing before the actual RP started.  None of the relationships that have been formed in the RP have come to place yet.  This is a place were characters can interact, have fun, and maybe even shag without in-game consequence.

An Omake thread if you will."

He finished his glass of scotch, filled the glass again, and saluted the people in the room.

"Of course, this can change to your needs, so have fun and go wild."

He sipped at the scotch before grinning wickedly.  "Also, please feel free to shag my repressed Godmother."

Knick:
Phoenix awoke, for the first time in thousands of years Phoenix opened its eyes and its mind. And with opening its mind came with it the emotions of hundreds of thousands of people.

Anger, joy, sadness, hate, curiosity, confusion, greed, generosity, hope, despair, love. All those emotions hit Phoenix at once.

Phoenix felt the pain unlike it had ever felt, to a human it would be the worse then the worse hangover they could possibly ever feel, “Scrawwwwww”.

It had to get away. Expanding its wings it took to the skies. Higher, higher, and higher still, Phoenix continued to rise until it could see most of the city from its vantage.

Large pillars of stone, metal and glass, they might be suitable. No he could feel people, they seemed to be in them. How odd.

Phoenix scanned the city, looking for a suitable spot.

Abandoned districts? No, people still go there some times. Top of those odd towers made of steel beams? No, seemed to be a platform people visited close to the top. Not there either, or there, or there.

Finally it found something. It seemed to be an island with a big statue on it. People visited it, but not in too large numbers. And the highest point seemed even more isolated. Perfect.  It could even tasks spirits to keep people away.

Phoenix dove at full speed towards the green statue holding a touch with a golden flame. Reaching it in a moment it ignited its flames and sent out its spirits. Hundreds of tiny birds flew from its wings surrounding the mental flame and pressed against it, at the same time a wave of intense flames was released.

The golden metal of the flame was melted by flames and shaped by the spirits forming a golden metal nest in the touch.

With the nest ready Phoenix slowly and carefully lowered itself and sat it, making itself comfortable, all the while ignoring the screaming civilians fleeing the island. Finally content Phoenix let lose a content caw, and closed it eyes to calm its mind.

No matter how much it loves people it can only take so much after all.

Perhaps it will explore after it wakes up, or maybe it could find friends here.

“cawwwww”

Either way, it is a good day to be Phoenix.

Not so much the panicking and horrified citizens of the Nexus City though. After all how would you react if a giant firebird just made its nest on the touch of the Statue of Liberty. Then again it is probobly still not the weirdest thing that has happened.
===============================================================================================
Note: If allowed by Elf this is what happened when Phoenix arrived in the city a while ago.

Elf:
Forest sighed, pushed her hair back from her face and said, "Not to be meta, but I'm having a bloody bad night."

Daiki:
Completely oblivious about the vampire's mood, Enkidu gave the newcomer a serene smile from his seat.

Brahmastra:
Sitting with his hands bound in a Gendo Pose, Karna leaned slightly forward in his chair, his eyes indicating he was talking to the vampire.

"As the modern world enjoys wordplay, I guess you could say that I really brightened up your day."

Karna took no notice that not a single person in the room laughed at his horrific attempt at this thing he heard called a "joke". Truly, what a curious invention of the spoken language.
