Neil
Midmorning, Day 4
The werewolf's last few days had been curious ones, quiet for the most part, outside of his daily hunts. The last few had been less than lethal, more a test of skill and timing than brutality. Some guy with more money than sense humiliated by being chased down the wrong alley, into a nest of pickpockets and hustlers, and picked clean before being tossed out on his ass. Others were testaments to the werewolf's precise, savage brutality. A drug lab cleared out and burned out, the bodies spirited away without a trace.
The advertisement had popped up on TV, one night after dinner, and his curiosity and a bit of good old battle-lust had led him here, to a place filled to the brim with cute girls, sitting in some waiting area as the red demon laid out the rules.
Pretty basic, huh. Almost painfully so, Neil noted to himself, looking around at the competition, or at least whoever had showed up. He couldn't have cared less about the title, but the prize money and the fighting were another matter entirely.
Nanako
Nanako, meanwhile, found herself captivated by all the cute girls on display. The squirrel girl's eyes roamed from curves that could smother her, to arms that could bend and twist and choke her, to legs that could almost certainly do the same. The rules as they were listed off barely registered to the squirrel girl, already bouncing and zipping around excitedly, tail rapidly flicking back and forth behind her. She was given pause as an especially cute succubus with pom poms started explaining the brackets, eyes alight as she looked her over before glancing up to the brackets listed.
Yesterday's training had done wonders for Nanako, Sethrol's instruction and her confrontation with herself leaving her feeling lighter than she had in the past few days. Even lighter than she'd felt with Carin's help, though she still cherished her bond with the helpful little goddess. She'd even started getting used to the wings, getting the hang of moving herself around with them. For now, however, she glanced around at whatever she could see of the competition before focusing her attention back on the cute girls doing cute things.
