Suerte grinned and said, "So your into animal girls? Y-"  As she turned back to face him, she suddenly realized how serious this was.  Maybe he wanted her to open up because something bad happened to her, try to get her to talk about it.

Even so, Suerte found herself reflexively reaching back to touch her tailess butt.  Maybe Vanilla could give her one of those too.

He gave her a look. The dubious look he usually reserved for vampire fledgelings thinking they could take him because they couldn't see through the huge silver-eyed man in a cowboy hat and old duster carrying a giant sword and an absurd firearm, as if those things weren't warning enough.

"You're quite the looker yourself, and you don't need a fluffy tail for it," Justice chuckled, covering his mouth, and clapped her shoulder while she was distracted.

The cowgirl smirked, finally released her other arm, allowing him a view of her cleavage once again.  As she moved to take her turn to shoot, she made it a point to knock him aside with her hips, giggling a bit as she reached for her other gun.  Three shots followed her swift aim at the target.  It didn't even look like she aimed that time, yet the bullets struck their target without fail.

"Are you worried about her?" she asked, her voice brimming with the confidence.  She was easily flattered.

His gaze followed from her cheer to her expert shooting, and unwilling to be outdone, the rider repeated her feat with only a glance at his targets. Justice blew unnecessary air on the revolver, and inhaled before responding.

"I owe her for the help," he said, rolling his shoulders in a shallow attempt at relaxing them more. "But besides that, yes, I'm worried."

Part of her asked that to help bim think.  The other part of her wondered what kind of girl would end up teamed up with him for a job.

"Flattery will get you nowhere," he rebutted, laughing. He holstered his weapon too, and leaned back against one of the dividers, crossing his arms. He stared at the ceiling, focusing on his thoughts instead of what laid in front of him.

"I don't believe she's weak. But she's young, and rushed into violence which was probably beyond her expectation, probably more callous than she was okay with, because I was there."

He was responsible.

Suerte walked towards Justice, making it a point to enter his personal space.  She looked up at him from below, staring into those guilty eyes with her own, glimmering with curiosity.  "So she is the naive type?  You don't think that it is your fault for taking her on the job right?  I mean, everyone has a first job and its never pretty.  Thrilling maybe, but never pretty."

He shook his head. His tone was like that of a weathered, old grandfather clock. "It was her decision, and it's blood on her hands now, I'm not about to pretend it's anything else."

Justice looked down, into Suerte's eyes, and poked her forehead with a single gloved finger.

"But not everyone's built the same. Mortals don't stack their scars into armor as casually as breathing. I'd sleep easier knowing how she's actually dealing with it, that's all."

If thats the case, why not check on her tonight?  Do you know where she lives?  I'm sure I don't need to tell you, but she won't know until its time to lie down and think about her actions.  She could be drowning it in something else right now after all."

Oh

The woman just stripped.  She took off her clothes, just like that.  At the very least, she saw why she was so proud.  She had the body of a human pornstar.  Still, she was pretty sure human norms related to shame meant this sort of behavior was abnormal.

Rather than strip, the clothes on her body seemed to shrink to nothing, exposing her body to the world around them.  Her steps were completely silent as she walked through the halls and entered the bathing rooms.  It was completely empty.  Considering the time of day it made sense.  Who takes a bath at a public bathhouse at 3:15am?  It was a stupid question, because clearly a demon and an empress.

"Ahhh," she moaned as she sunk into the hot water.  "I see why humans enjoy this."

Suerte's hands dropped, her eyes widening for a brief moment.  Then, she ran her finger along his chest.  "I see.... no wonder you were asking me.... you slept with her already and you still can't get her to open up...."

She wrapped her fingers around the cuff of his cloak.  She wanted to rip it off and steal it for herself.  No boobs for him.
