He closed his eyes. How unsightly. He simply had no patience for the kind of fools who chased him for the sake of empty titles like strongest. He wasn't about to change that for every snivelling child who came knocking at his door. And yet, part of him did feel a little bad. She would likely wait until she grew old and ugly and withered away, or just leave if she had her wits about her. He stepped out and grabbed a towel, and began to dry himself.
Meanwhile, clouds began to darken outside. It was most fortunate that he was indoors, and she, outdoors.

She caught the scent of ozone hanging in the air after spending some time contemplating the reality of the apple in her hand, not quite tempted to eat it but also curious enough to consider it. It was then she realized this guy was that kind of ass. "... great."
Also, it was going to rain.

4:00 PM
Good thing Mira had some nice trees to take cover in. Not that she was afraid of getting wet or anything, but this was a nice jacket and she didn't have the money to get another right now without beating someone up for another. And she wasn't that kind of person.
A sigh escaped her. "Well, shit. I guess I'll just have to do this the hard way."
She did a side toss of the apple right at the side of his house so it exploded into bits against the brick of his chimney. Loudly.

How unfortunate. The forecasts had only predicted a light autumn rain, but this downpour was unexpected. Now that he was cleaner, he took the time to think, reading a book in the comfort of his home. But as much as he liked to concentrate on his reading, something just didn't sit well with him. She had been most unpleasant and unsightly, and yet... such desperation was not without beauty. To be frank, since he had defeated the animal, he had no shortage of fools assaulting him on the streets for some imaginary belt.
Yes, perhaps he loathed the idea of fighting. But he did also loathe the idea of leaving a damsel in the cold rain. This was not gallant of him, he should've been the better man. So he rose from his table, glasses still on his face, and walked calmly to the door. It was when he opened it that he found, to his surprise, she was still there even under all that downpour. It... reminded him of someone special.
His tone was a bit warmer. "Come inside. I wouldn't want you to catch a-"
The apple suddenly hit the roof and his chimney, possibly damaging the bricks and causing a most unpleasant crashing sound. He just looked at her, and didn't even finish his sentence. His eyes did finish it, however, if you thought of how he was looking at her.
Cold.

She froze at the realization of just how bad her timing was, a single instant between the apple leaving her hand and the door opening to acknowledge her presence. Mira turned her eyes from the mess to him, and smiled awkwardly. "Didn't think you were going to come out. Sorry about the mess."
She hopped down from the branch beneath the boughs of the tree, landing gracefully on her feet and placing her hands back in her pockets. She gave him a look, since she had a proper view of him this time, and nodded.

But the beautiful will always remain composed.
"It's alright. I should apologize as well. It was uncouth to treat a guest so." He bowed his head politely. He guessed she was comely enough, now that he could get a good look. Her body was not the sort that was merely for show, that much was apparent. He had to at least acknowledge that much.
"Well then, will you just stand there, or will you enter? I hope you don't mean to punish me by making me wait all day now." He pouted lightly and crossed his arms.
