"Because somehow, I find you refreshing. It's not often someone looks at me with those eyes. I find it... lovely." He took her hand and smiled, and with that he brought her forward like a dancer brings his companion, and took the first step over the rope. Beneath the two, fire raged, and from such a height no less! Even in a dream, it took a special kind of madman to take this first step. But the fear from before had now vanished. His heart was at ease. All he needed was to look at his reflection in her eyes.
"Someone once told me, never be ashamed of what you are. And you are a devil, the sort who'd burn a man's heart away and steal their soul. So is this it? A promise and honeyed words from a lady's sharp tongue? How quaint." He almost sounded bored. But not all was as it seemed.
"But to open the way... well well well~ Oh my darling, if you had my curiosity, now you have my attention. And perhaps, friendship. If you speak true."

She took a step back, dancing to his tune. If he was moving forwards over the rope, then she was backing into the unknown without even lifting an eyebrow. No her blue gaze remained centered, warm as ever. "I would much rather steal a man's heart than their soul, souls don't even fetch a high price on the black market these days after all. And you should know that I Lulu never lie. Everything I have told you is the truth I'm a strict sense, though I leave it up to your dirty mind to imagine all the parts I left out. "
She bowed this time instead of courtseing and winked." if you are man enough for the task that is."

"Ah~<3 So full of mystery..." He almost laughed, of course. For every gift, a price. Nothing was truly free in this world, and he loathed charity. He devilishly spun her over the rope like a dancer, shifting his steps to keep going forward. Forward, to the end of the line. Wherever that may lead, he would not stop till he'd reach it.
Her back landed on his arm, and his eyes stared at her cool with intensity.
"And what of this task?"

"That depends on you and you alone, I am merely a guide through the hellish landscapes which you must conquer." She stepped up the pace and pushed back at him just a tad bit more insistently. "Would you mind if I took the lead? I may be a girl, but I know some of the steps. Or you can keep heading on your path and one day a cliff will await you with only way way forward"

Oho~! He took a mere step back from her insistence, and closed his eyes with a playful hum. But his eyes betrayed his amusement, in a way quite like a young man still fresh and sharp. He released her with a pirouette, and bowed. It didn't look like it, but this was all quite difficult.
"A Vergil to guide me through the inferno, hrm? Very well, I will allow it." He raised his head and moved a hand to his heart, the other stretched out to follow her if she'd only take it. And his smile, simply delightfully devilish.
"This is quite fun."
