Elf:
Forest

"Ah, so you're also looking for a boogeyman, a Baba Yaga perhaps.  Someone who'll scare the piss out of these wankers that are coming after you.  Make it so that these mercs become too scared to come after you," Forest said with a frown as she tapped her finger against her lips.

She tilted her head and asked, "And what if I get tired of being your bodyguard?  Can I quit?"

yinsukin:
Scott

Scott raised and eyebrow and said, "Well yes, but only if you don't know too much.  The more you know, the more of a commitment you need to have.  Its just a safety thing for us in the business.  Basically, you should decide now whether you can stomach something like this.  This isn't something that a softie can handle."

He placed a hand on her shoulder.  "But I'm not going to lie, I do need you.  I haven't had to deal with an attack like that in broad daylight before.  They are getting worse."

Elf:
Forest

But I am sort of a softie.  I don't like killing humans.  It's partly because it's too easy and partly because drawing the line somewhere so on and so forth,Forest thought with a frown.

She sighed and said, "I don't know.  Killing supernaturals is one thing if they're on the wrong side of things, but knocking around humans just seems . . . I don't know, like kicking a special puppy."

yinsukin:
Scott

"Well thats condescending," he said, tilting his head back a bit.  "We won't be killing regular humans.  We will be killing trained assassins, people who dedicated their lives to taking life.  Besides, there is a tactic to it.  We need to eliminate the possibility that the assassins can report to their master with 100% accuracy.  If I have you, low level assassins will be fine, but information in the spy game is life or death and death is the only surefire way to prevent information from being spread in this city.  Your new so I don't expect you to grasp the weight of this, but if you can think of it, its a power that exists in this city."

He stared at her after he finished his little speech, looking at any sort of reaction he could gauge.

Elf:
Forest

Forest folded her arms across her chest and tilted her head as she looked at Scott.  She listened to his words with one eyebrow raised.  Her expression was bemused; she knew the whole knowledge is power thing.

Saying yes could get me some security for a little while, and I could gain knowledge about this place.  I'm just not sure about the long game, the blonde thought with a scowl.

She held up her hand and said, "I'm considering your offer, honestly.  I'm just weighing all the pros and cons, and I don't like not having an escape route."
