yinsukin:
Scott
"Me neither," he said, sighing. "But you could just be my bodyguard and not ask too many questions. If you do that, the killing will be the only pill you'll have to swallow. Plus you get paid and receive free spy training. That will get you far in this city no matter what your job is. Plus, you'll learn a lot more about this place from a job like this than from a little tour. It is information gathering after all."
His frown deepened as he reached into his pocket, ready for her to say no and take the little check. "Either way, if you decide not to take the position, this will be the last time you see me."

Elf:
Forest
Because I'll be dead.
Forest sighed and slumped her shoulders.
Espionage had always been Gabriel's thing. Forest still clung to her mostly barbarian roots and was upfront and direct. Still, I don't know what the hell this place is, and at least there's pay. If needed, I could cut ties if I don't ask too many questions.
She bit her lip and said, "I'll take the job."

"Welcome abord then," he said, flashing her a smile that revealed his dimples. He was truly happy.
Elf:
Forest
"So, I guess I need to drive you somewhere then," Forest said as she held out her hand for him to shake.
She then said, "And then I need to find this fannybawbag that put this contract on your head. Take that wanker out and my job becomes a lot easier."
yinsukin:
Scott
"Agreed," he said, nodding his head as he grasped her hand in his own. His hands were big but smooth, easily engulfing her own. For better or worse, he was a pretty tall guy.
"So about that professional outfit...."
