"Yeah vampire master's can be a dick..." he said, thinking back to his own master.  The bodies of his wife and kid on the ground, the fear causing his entire body to shake.  It always came back to him when he thought back to that day.  Still, he made sure to keep the memory locked.  Even Forest wouldn't be able to pierce his mind unless she had beaten some of the mental energy out of him.

"I won't ask.  I understand you want a professional relationship right?  The less we know about each other the better."

Elf:
Forest

Her fingers flexed on the steering wheel, the knuckles so white they looked like snow.  Forest's jaw was tight as her eyes narrowed.

Cold and sharp.  Like someone had shoved an icicle . . . Forest cut the thought off and bit her lip.  She had enough shit going on that she didn't need to bring up trauma over 1,000 years go.

"It's not something I like talking about anyway," she said in a low voice.

Scott

Scott's eyes softened as he stared at her knuckles.  Yet every muscle in his body stayed tight.  The body doesn't forget, even while absorbed in someone else's experience.  "I understand."

"He supposedly works in that building," he said, pointing out the window.  It was a typical grand government building, except injected with as much Tim Burton as possible.  The columns lining the entrance were jet black, coated with metal spikes spiraling around the pillars.  The entrance of the building had a line that extended around the building, though it was completely vacant.  It seemed like a feature for tourists and visitors.  Bulky looking men marched around outside, their fangs out to project a feeling of hostility.  It was clear they were the bodyguards of the building or at least lookouts.

A yard extended outward, decorated by decaying plants.  It seemed as though there were no guards in the yard, likely to prevent the government from looking too paranoid.  They might need to enter through the back or roof...

"Find a parking lot at least a few blocks down.  I need to make a call."

Elf:
Forest

Forest looked at the building and whistled.  "Wow, I expect bloody Johnny Depp to come out any time," she said as she looked at the very gothic architecture.  It did look rather Tim Burton before his fall, but it was almost painful on how stereotypical it was.

Forest herself lived in a building that looked like an old warehouse.  On the outside it looked like a respectable and forgettable warehouse.  On the inside it was very much the home of a lonely, eccentric vampire who had more money than she knew what to do with.

She started to drive to look for a parking lot a little bit away from the building.  "The stereotype has me a bit on edge, like he's wanting to throw people off," she said.

"It does fit in with the rest of the city, a damn gothic nightmare," he said, rolling his eyes.  "That is supposedly where he works.  We need to find out where he lives.  If you pick up any information on Valarie, make sure to keep track of it.  According to my boss, she is the real threat."

He pulled out a device from his pocket.  It was a metal box with a screen in the middle, small enough to fit into his hand.  According to their tech expert, it could send messages from the base without outer forces from tracking it.  On the screen was the name "Fang."  He turned away from her, typing in, "we have a new recruit.  Not sure if we should take care of it now..."

"You should only be needed if we get caught, but your psychic powers should be useful for gathering information.  I need to you to stay near me at all times unless I specifically instruct you to scout something for me.  Now, lets go over what each other can do so we have a full list of our team's capabilities.  I am a vampire with body manipulation.  I have complete control over my limbs, internal organs and muscles, allowing me to do things like fake my own death or make an injury look worse than it is."
