Still sitting in the car, he turned to her, staring her in the eyes. "Forest... There is no way home. You need to understand that. As for the orders, i'm sorry but im not sure if I trust you like that yet. I don't know much about you, nor what you do. In the Nexus, an innocent soul often belies a monster. I need to prove my worth on this mission."
He needed power.
Shaking his head, he opened the door and stepped out of the car. "Look, your faster than most creatures here, you should be able to protect me no problem."

"You might not have found away home, but that means I'm not going to stop looking. I have too many people counting on me back home," Forest said as she made a fist.
"And you don't know that I'm 'faster than most of the creatures here'. Just because I beat the snot out of some thugs doesn't mean that someone in there isn't faster than me."

Scott's eyes softened, his lips curling into a frown as he saw her determination. For someone so closed off, it seemed kind of sad. He said the possibilities of the Nexus are limitless, but he has never heard of someone returning home.
"Look, i'm not saying your the fastest, not even close. But the average monster is someone I can take down," he said, thinking back to all the fights he has gotten in. "You are easily one of the faster things here. Look, I know your cautious of me and I don't blame you, but we need to establish some trust if we are going to get through this in one piece."

Forest bit her lip as Scott brought up the whole Trust Issue.
I just met you, and you're pretty morally loose from what I can tell, the blonde thought to herself with a scowl.
She said in a slow voice, "I'm cautious of most supernaturals for good reason."
Because they want to use me and turn me into their little sex doll . . . she thought with a scowl.

The spy folded his arms and raised an eyebrow. "And why is that?" he asked, not even bothering to hide his defensiveness.
