Scott smiled.  Man she wanted to be the present?  Was she that confident in her own abilities or suicidal?  "I mean I'd love to do that, but I haven't infiltrated their ranks yet.  If I brought you in, they would simply take you and me both away."

Scott folded his arms over his chest and thought for a moment.  "We could try altering the memories of a guard and try that plan if things go wrong and we get caught...  But it doesn't really accomplish anything.  It doesn't take care of the problem of all those guards."

Valerie

But Valerie remained seated atop Nero, seemingly not getting or simply not caring not for his silent order. Instead her gaze was focused 9n the royal scepter itself, and she was frowning.

"My lord.... She challenged your excellence, why are you holding back? This girl can surely handle something more grand, I can feel it."

Nero

Despite her position, the roman seemed to enjoy herself, like she was browsing through a toy's store; with a sparkle or curiosity in her eyes, she voiced the question:

"Something more... *grand*, you say?"

"Well, back to you being 'the gift'," Forest said with a frown as she folded her arms across her small breasts.

She eyed him and said, "What about the story that I am new in town, which is bloody true by and by, and there was an altercation between you and those thugs that are currently rotting on that parking lot.  I can play that I overheard talk about this duke, and not wanting to be without a sense of security and a reliable source of income because my goddamn fortune that I'd been working on for centuries probably didn't make it with me, figured maybe I could get a bit of work.

"I drag you in there as a sign of good faith."

His arms still folded, Scott tapped his elbow with his finger.  "A sign of faith?  Why not bring me to a police station rather than a government building?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

That wasn't the only problem.  The problem with a plan like this is that it comes down to quick wit and a sharp tongue.  Even then, fate is left entirely in the personality of the one with the power.  He wasn't sure he wanted to take a chance with someone described as eccentric.  What if this guy was basically the joker?  No way in hell they are getting out alive, even if they convince him.

Forest

"Because vampire that's why and this duke is also one," Forest said with a shrug, "Where I'm from, it's kind of frowned upon bringing other supernaturals to human police stations.  Gotta keep up the Masquerade and everything.  So I bring you to the head honcho bloodsucker like a good bounty hunter."

She held up her finger and said, "Yes, those wankers who blew up your car would have been giftwrapped for the bobbies, but another vampire?  No, we deal with our own."

"Oh right," he said.  "I guess I didn't do a good job of showing you around.  Each district has its own police force, perfectly capable of handling any supernatural threat.  You aren't the only strong woman from another world.  Others like you work for the police and while there is definitely still a pregidius against vampires, you won't have to deal with that same stigma in the vampire district that we find ourselves in."

He paused and looked around, clearly trying to be careful with his words.  "Each district is almost like its own country, with a different culture to accommodate all the different types of people that exist here.  In this district, we are just people.  Humans are the minority here, as well as the pray."

Once again, he paused and said, "Maybe we could try saying it was a terrorist attack and I am a leader of it...  The only problem with that is we really don't want him looking me up.  That could get.... messy."

Forest

Forest bit her lip for a moment and folded her arms around herself again.

"What about me looking for asylum?  He's a ruler after all right?  I'm new and lost and need help.  So of course I throw myself at the mercy of the gentry," Forest said, lapsing into an archaic Scottish accent.

She tapped her temple and said, "I can keep us in contact fairly easily, and getting captured and escaping is something I'm an old hand at.  Not to mention I can tank stuff better than you."

"I hate to break it to you, but being tanky won't help you here," he said shaking his head.  Scott leaned against the cold hard wall, his back cooled by the rocks untouched by the heat of the sun.  "There are probably dozens of vampires there.  You may be able to take out a few, but all of them?  I don't think so.  If we are going to do this, we need to get our story straight.  If we go in with a plan like this, there is no way out."

He cocked his head to the right.  "What would you be seeking asylum from?"

Forest

"I'm new and I'm lost.  I don't know this place and I just need help.  I need a place to stay, a job, and wondering if I can get help from the generous duke until I can get on my own feet," she said before tapping her finger against her lip.

She said, "I don't know what this duke's sexual orientation is, so I'm not going to play up to that obviously, and never been much of the seductress anyway.  More like I'm a hard worker who needs help and would pay him back with my efforts."

"Well you might have to learn quick," he said, deliberately looking away.  "Your lucky.  You got turned in the prime of your youth.  Not all vampires get that luxury.  If this fails, we need to try whatever we can to get out, whether that be a force, or whatever.  I suppose I could try if it turns out the entire security force is gay, but i doubt that will happen with my luck..."

He sighed.  "I don't know if it will get us to see the duke, but it will probably get us in the door.  We need a plan from there."

Forest

Forest chuckled and said, "You try being an eternal teenager with that emotional state for a thousand years.  I would have rather been a few years older instead of you know, someone younger than twenty for all of eternity."

She bit her lip and said, "Maybe I could be a distraction while you stealth your way in?"

Scott unfolded his arms and sighed once again.  He couldn't believe he was entertaining this.  "Oh you get the hormones too?  That explains a lot."

He squeezed his palm, moving his arm up and down.  The movement pushed his biceps against the suit before relaxing once more.  "My powers aren't really suited for stealth either, but I am far quicker than a human at least.  Maybe you can guide me with your psychic powers, keep track of my positioning?  Although, they are vampires, so we can assume they have enhanced senses....  We need a way to dull or fool those if I am going to get by....  They will definitely be able to hear the clattering of my shoes against the ground at the very least."

Forest

"They're not like technical hormones, but . . ." Forest scowled and asked, "And what do you mean by hormones?!"

She looked away and said, "Of course I can guide you with my telepathy.  That's like easy peasy, lemon squeezy.  Also, you may want to take off your shoes."

Aruna

Aruna frowned, realizing she either refused or did not notice.  "Because I prefer to take my time with my pray," he said, running his hand along her chin, his hard shaft now sandwiched in between her breasts.  He thrust his hips upward, taking his hand away as the head was thrust into the bottom of her chin.  "Besides, humans tend to have fragile bodies.  I'd rather not ruin a body so beautiful..."

That was a lie.

The "scepter" twitched, growing in size within her breasts, popping into the blond's mouth.  If she didn't want to get in on the action, then she couldn't blame him if he got a little enthusiastic with this new blood.
