Forest felt the guard staring at her and felt that her suggestion was taking hold.
She shook her head and said, "I don't need an ambulance, I need sanctuary."
She leaned forward and whispered, "I think the ones with the rocket launchers fancied themselves as vampire hunters."

The guard
The guard shook his head, placing one hand on her back. He wanted to give her what she wanted, but there was no reason to do so when he could just watch over her and keep her safe. A rocket launcher wasn't a huge deal for a few city hall guards.
"This is city hall, not an asylum," he said, shaking his head. The other guard nodded along with him. "Don't worry we called the cops. You said you were new right? A full force of cops here is more than enough for most threats in this city, skill vampire hunters included. You should be fine if you just hold on until they get here."
The guard smiled at her. "I'll keep you safe."
It wasn't good for the guard rotation, but they were pretty organized. They could adjust.

Forest smiled and wiped the bloody tears from her eyes. "Thank you," she said with a shake of her head.
"Where I'm from, wanna be Buffys or Van Helsings are a bit more subtle and less 80's action movie," she said as she ran a hand through her hair, pulling it down.
Well, they're calling the police, she sent to Scott.

As the two walked, Scott looked on from the shadows. I can see that! he thought. Look just stall them, anything you can think of! If you get them to hold off on the cops even better. The last thing they need is reinforcements!
"Just give me time to get some backup here!"
He whipped out his phone and began typing furiously.

Fine, I'll see what I can do, she thought as she rolled her eyes.
She looked at the guard, bit her lip, and asked, "You don't have a towel or a wetnap by any chance? I'm pretty much healed but I hate it when blood dries on my skin. It feels like old jello."
