yinsukin:
Homeless men
As Forest left, she heard the chatter of the homeless men carried by the evening breeze. "MA BLOOD! WHERES MA BLOOD!"
"Just wait until the morning!"
"BUT MA DRUGS! YALL KNOW I CANT SLEEP WITHOUT MA DRUGS OR MA BLOOD!"
The sidewalk went in a line for a half a block before leading to a rundown porte-cochere. The light from the lobby spilled out into the warm twilight streets. If she went inside, she would be greeted by surprisingly nice paperwhite chairs. In fact the entire room had a consistent color palette of bright white, the room almost feeling like a space in the void, with the only bits of color being the front desk, which was brown. Behind the desk sat a red-headed girl in a white dress.
Elf:
Forest
"Well that was a bit around the bin," Forest said to herself as she walked past the now yelling hobos.
She didn't have drugs nor blood to offer them, and if she had, she wouldn't. While she wasn't going to shun someone for a fairly harmless vice, it was evident that theirs had ruined their immortal existence. Still, hobo vampires who aren't willingly hobos . . . This place is buggered up, she thought as she entered the white room.
She looked at the redhead girl at the desk and said, "Excuse me, my friend here," she hoisted Ryan up further, "Lives here and I'm trying to get him home."
yinsukin:
Mary
The redhaired girl looked at Forest, then down at Ryan, then back up at Forest. Then, she clicked her teeth, frowned and said, "I see he finally got a girl to take care of him. His room is on the top floor."
That was a lie. Ryan's room was actually on the third floor, but the girl was irritated that some other girl was taking him home instead of her, especially after he told her that women shouldn't get involved with him. What kind of angsty dick says that instead of just a casual "no thanks?!"
Who was this girl anyway?
Elf:
Forest
Forest could feel the disapproval radiating from the redhead clerk. Hell, I don't even need to be a telepath to know that she's jealous, she thought.
She resisted the urge to chuckle. Her make someone jealous in romantic affection? By now she would have thought Hell would have frozen over before that happened.
What kind of angsty dick says that instead of just a casual "no thanks?!"
Who was this girl anyway?
Forest eyed the large man in her arms with a cocked eyebrow. Oh, have a bit of the whole tortured hero going on then, do you? she thought as she headed towards the stairs.
She cast the girl a glance over her shoulder and said, "Thank you!"
yinsukin:
The Hallway
As Forest opened the door, she was greeted with a worn-down staircase. Unlike the lobby, this area was fairly generic, if broken down. There were a few cracks in the walls and cobwebs in the corner. Once Forest emerged from the stairs, she would be greeted with a snow white hallway, dimly lit by lantern shaped lights placed on the right of each door. Ryan's room was 325.
Inside was an enormous common room decorated with a combination of fine art, superhero posters and some glam shots of hot female actors. The couch at the end of the room was big enough to fit at least eight people, while a TV stood at the opposite end. A videogame console was tucked under the stand in which the TV stood. However, there weren't any games in the room. On the wall of the common room stood two doors.
