Forest

Lord and Lady this is more daft than the Faerie Court, and that's pretty daft, Forest sent to Taro.

However, as Taro cradled the pink girl's chin with his long, graceful fingers, Forest elbowed him in the gut.  Just a little bit.  She did raise an eyebrow at the girl dressed in pink. 

Her eyes narrowed at the violet haired magus, smirked, and said, "Well it seems like you took precautions to protect yourself as well."  There wasn't actual thoughts, more of impressions.  Anger.  An instinct to protect, but it wasn't the other Baroness'.

Maybe some sort of familiar.  Taro, be on your bloody guard, Forest warned him.

Then she blinked as the lady in plate armor walked over to her and took her hand with both of hers.  Her cheeks headed up as she looked away.  "I mean, technically I am a Baroness too, but . . . Someone has to watch over him.  I mean look at him."

She gestured with her free hand before looking back at the knight.  "I'm Forest, what's your name?"

[Bern]

Emilia

Drip.

The sound of something hitting floor beneath Emilia's chair was clear to all in the room, something liquid and in the next momen-

Swoooosh-

The air itself parted as a crimson bullet spiked right into the arrogant Duke's crotch who due to his unfortunate position of leaning forwards like so was completely unbalanced, and as it so happened the sharp edges of the chairs in this room were well suited for her powers.

"That's KING to you Taro, and don't you ever forget it."

Sakura Edelfeldt

Sakura chuckled, and stared at Forest. "Don't make any rash moves." She warned the other vampiress. Not even trying to hide her amusement, she leaned back into her chair, giving Rin a little calming tap on the side to keep her in check.

She began preparing defensive magic in her crest, just in case a fight broke out.

Taro

A strange squeeling noise came from Taro's lips as he fell to his knees.  His entire body screamed with the most intense type of pain.  The vampire felt... so alive.  This was the kind of pain that could remind even an elder vampire what life truly was.

"I...regret...nothing," he said, falling to the ground face first.

Hera Greenmore

The knight smiled at Forest.  "A baroness?  Oh so lord Taro was not breaking the rules...  Why did he not mention that?"

She shook her head.  "My name is Hera, Hera Greenmore.  Hold on a moment."

Hera walked over to Taro's fallen body and began kicking it in the obliques.  "Hera, why are you kicking me?"

"I just hate you," she snarled.

"Love you too!" he shouted back.  Although he sounded as if he was dying.

Forest

I told you, Forest sent to Taro with a frown as he was bent over on the ground.  Aloud she sighed as she watched Hera kick him.  She rubbed her forehead and looked at Edelfelt.

Then she smirked, raising one eyebrow as she did.  "You're looking a bit uncomfortable in that corset.  I don't think it was fit properly to your frame; you might want to fix that."

The blonde did take Hera's shoulders and leaned against her.  "Come on now, you don't want to scuff your shiny boots kicking him right?"

She then began to telepathically radiate calmness on a subtle level, hopefully to put all of these crazy vampire bitches in a more stable mind frame before things escalated to even greater levels of absurdity.

Sakura

Sakura's mirth was palpable, even without reading her mind. "I'm simply serving as my lady, the Vampire King, asked me to." She retorted. "The way you serve your boy-toy unflinchingly." She snarled as soon as she felt the calming energy tugging at the corners of her mind, coercing her to be civil. Fuck that. She'd do as she wished, when she wished, and this subservient bitch would have no grasp over her mind. She was going to have none of it from a woman pathetic and desperate enough to crave a man like this' attentions.

A rush of magical energy filled the air at that moment. Sakura released her defensive spells all at once, shrouding her mind from casual interference and hiding her intentions from Forest. Automatic countercurses were cast, giving her a degree of protection from any reprisals. Sitting calmly in her chair, she stared at Forest. Her manner gave off an unerring impression of being looked down upon, even as she sat still in her seat.

"Do not try to manipulate me, Forest." She growled. "Wait for our lord, the Vampire King, to enter patiently."

She couldn't explain the sudden rush of happiness that filled her as she invoked her employer's name. The mere thought of loyally serving her filled her with an unmistakable rush.

[Bern]

Emilia

The Pinkette couldn't help but giggling in the sickly sweet tone of hers as she bore witness to the stand off between the flat and the busty Baronesses. Her gaze finally settled on the bustier of the two and looked deeper with her enhanced vision, tracking every emotion and every twitch of muscle that Baroness made. It brought great joy to see someone so wholeheartedly serving the one-

And also a whole slew of internalized disgust borne of the centuries of seeing the system from above... Only for it to be crushed by the same brewing happiness.

"You feel elated whenever you think of being of use to her, don't you Baroness Edelfeldt?" It would be fun to see if the fledgling had figured it out yet.

Hera Greenmore

"Yes I suppose you are right," Hera said, giving Taro one last kick. 

Sitting down in the chair opposite to Sakura, she wore a frown that disagreed with the purple-haired fledgling.  That was always the disappointing thing about new recruits.  While loyalty was indeed the best resource, even she was not necessarily a fan of how it was obtained.  Turning to Sakura then to Forest she said,  "Do not take these fledgling's words so seriously.  Although I think your loyalty is misplaced, it is admirable to follow someone unflinchingly, no matter how discusting they are."

Taro

Yeah you were right... but...

Taro turned his head to Emilia as she spoke.  "Emilia thats enough," he said.  "You speak too much.  But... I suppose the damage has already been done.  Forest....."

He rushed over, getting on his knees and staring up at her with puppy dog eyes.  Although between his sharp silver hair, crimson eyes and muscular physique, it looked like a bear pretending to be a dog.  "Can you kiss my boo-boo?"

Of course, it had already grown back.

Forest

Forest tilted her head at Edelfelt and the Pinkette's words and then gave a low whistle.

"Wow, you really drank the Kool-Aid didn't you?" Forest said with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

Valerie isn't a telepath, I would have picked that up, but there's some serious Sire Bond bullshite going on here, Forest thought to herself, shielding the thought from Taro and keeping it to herself.

Then Forest blinked at Hera's words and felt her cheeks heat up again.  "Well, honestly, if I didn't work with Taro, I'd still be his friend . . ." Forest said with a rueful grin and rubbing the back of her neck.

Then, of course, Taro had to be Taro and kneel at her feet and staring at her with large, crimson eyes.  It was adorable in it's bizarre way.  Until he said that, causing her cheeks to grow even redder.

"Ah, there's people watching," she said, blushing furiously, but reaching out to stroke his hair.

Sakura

Huh? What is she talking about? A creeping suspicion ate away at Sakura's gut, as if there was more that meets the eye than she herself knew. That she'd gotten herself into something more than she'd bargined for.

But then, she was drawn back to reality by Forest's nonsense. She blinked and shook her head, causing her tightly bound breasts to tremble. She couldn't just let her say whatever she liked!

So, Sakura raised her eyebrow at Forest, and her eyes trailed over to the man sitting at her feet, begging for ill begotten attention in a manner she might expect from an eleven year old boy. Then, her other brow raised as it returned to Forest's face. With a calm and collected smile, she retorted.

"It seems like you're drinking some own Kool-aid, Forest. Is it good?" She asked, then turning to Taro. " Please tell us all about it. We're all curious, I'm sure." She opened her arms as if to embrace everyone sitting at the table.

Death's Cradle

"It's unbecoming of you Lady Greenmore to kick a man as... Esteemed as Lord Taro when he's down. We should be above blaming him for his crippling need to kiss the very ground we walk upon, and as knights we shouldn't judge him for it. It's a very real condition that he's struggling with every day."

A blonde woman who was by far taller than the pinkette and almost as tall as Forest ha entered the chambers while they were arguing among themselves. How she managed to perform such a feat was answered a moment later when her armored boot passed the massive doorsteps without making a single sound. The blonde knight wasn't even sneaking, her form was just so steady that no force beyond the absolute necessary required to move was exerted and.

Her blue eyes regarded he downed duke with amusement for but a second longer before she spoke again.

"If you don't get up in the next three seconds Lord Taro, I will kill you."

Totally not familar buissness man

Standing next to the blond was a man in a suit looking to be in his early 40s somehow, despite also having the face and body of a fit man in his early 30s.  "Come now lets not be so rash Lady Everfair," the man said.  "its important to run a cost-benefit analysis before killing someone like Taro.  Moreover, its more important that we have unity at a time like this."

"If you really want to get him out of the way, we should throw him in the dungeon," he said with a chuckle.  "At least then he can spend some quality time with her majesty."

The man's eyes drifted towards Sakura, then towards Forest.  "I heard there was another fledgling, but not two.  Is this one yours Taro?"

Hera Greenmore

"I do not wish to hear it," Hera interjected, wanting none of the details.

Her head turned as a familiar voice called out from the doorway.  It was Alice Everfair, a trusted colleague and the second piece of their majesty's royal guard. Although, she much preferred to venture out on her own, so them being together was rare as of late.  The man, on the other hand, was in charge of one of the biggest businesses in the entire Nexus, Wayne Enterprises.  If those two were here, this was a matter of utmost importance.

"I suppose you are right Lady Everfair, but I suppose this means I am becoming soft as a knight.  Still, even you would find it hard not to resist the urge if you were here a mere moment earlier."

Taro

For a moment, Taro smiled as he stared into Forest's eyes, enjoying her delicate fingers running through his hair.  He moaned like a dog who wanted more attention but was afraid to bark, rubbing his head against her palms.  Even as the two entered the room, he kept his attention solely on the simple feeling of Forest's touch.

"Well yes I suppose you are right," he said, finally standing up, dusting off his pants.  "Besides, I don't need my boo boo's kissed since they have already healed."

There is a reason I wanted you to keep an eye on the new fledgling Forest.  Its not a matter of power.  No, as you can see the others are just looking for an excuse to kill me and some are capable enough to pull it off.  No there is a delicate balance to the power in this chamber.  If you keep tabs on her, I can deal with the rest.

 "To answer your question Damian, this one is actually Valaries," he said, wrapping his arms around her belly like she were a giant stuffed pillow.  "She was just turned by our adorable majesty and works as my personal body guard!  She's got blond hair, muscles I can grate cheese on and this neat little power that makes people want to fuck her brains out!  I saw a guy get a boner when we left my office.  Its hilarious!"
