Entheo stopped in his tracks as the blond woman leaped in front of him.  His eyes were guided to the finger being poking his chest.  The second she finished talking, he glanced at her, his eyes half opened, and said, "Why care so much about someone your never going to see again?"

Identity is important Entheo.  To be unable to be recognized as how you see yourself can be frustrating.

Is that what this is all about?

The voice inside his soul chuckled.  Who knows.  Thats just the logic behind that sort of polite gesture my friend.

Do I seem polite to you?

Once again, the old man laughed.  Not at all.

Entheo smirked, taking the hand into his own.  A firm grip but a simple shake, that was the gesture returned to Forest.  "Thorra is a cuter name than cosplayer girl, so I can get behind it," he said, shrugging.  "I take it that means I am getting the date?"

Thorra growled at him and suddenly pointed her hammer straight at him. "A duel! I challenge you to a duel! I can't just tolerate you impugning my family's honor!" She exclaimed before taking a fighting stance. "If I win, you'll have to apologize to me!" She exclaimed.

I don't care what he's familar with! This is U N A C C E P T A B L E!

Forest inwardly groaned as Thorra challenged the young man.

You know we'll turn him into paste with one punch, right?  He doesn't stand a bloody chance.

Aloud Forest took charge of their body and said, "Love, just please apologize to her.  I really don't fancy having to wash you literally out of my hair later on."

Entheo sighed, running his hand along the side of his neck as he cocked his head to the side.  "Honor huh?  Is that what this is about?" he asked, walking past the blond girl.  "I'm not going to fight you in some stupid duel I don't even care about.  If you can call me punk, I don't see why I can't call you cosplayer girl.  Although like I said, I do like the name Thorra better, its cute."

Strange.  You love to fight.  Why turn her down?

Entheo groaned within his own head.  Fight another entitled god?  No thanks.

You afraid your going to get your ass kicked again?

Nah that doesn't matter, it's something else.

Entheo slipped his hands into his jacket pocket and said, "Besides, lets say you beat me.  You won't earn my respect that way.  If you really care about your family's honor so much, represent them properly instead of beating up random strangers.  You've done more damage to your honor in this short conversation than you could ever really earn back with your fists."

Thorra

Thorra rushed forwards and a fist came hurtling towards his pretty little face. "It's not optional!" She exclaimed. It stopped just short of his face, but the wind-pressure from it was strong enough to make him stumble backwards. "Now get ready. Next one is for real."

She puffed out her cheeks and glared at him. He's stronger than he looks, and this will force him to show off his full strength! I'm tired of him fucking around with us!

And Entheo did stumble backwards, several steps in fact, his pupils narrowing on the closed fist.  Although the look on his face was just a smile.  Angry girls are cute.

You sound like us before we fucked the nuns.

It wasn't "we" that was you!

Weren't you going to ask about why?

Does that mean you will keep fighting with me on this one?

Of course.  I'll always be here to get you in and out of trouble.

The smile on Entheo's face faded, replaced by a disapproving frown.  Tilting his head and resting his hand behind it, the other finger lazily pointed right to her fat jiggly chest, straight into her heart.  "That body, your partner.  Its not yours is it?  Did she agree to this duel?  Or are you one of those uncaring gods who abuses mortals to settle your own petty battles?"

Forest

He might be some sort of magic user yes, but he's still flesh and blood mortal.  If that punch had connected we would be needing to wash boy out of my hair right now, Forest said through their connection.

Still, she saw the look on the guy's face.  That smug, little knowing grin.  A look she was all too familiar with.

He also might be a masochist who is going to use this for wank fodder later, Forest pointed out with a mental groan.

"No problem! No problem at all!" Thorra exclaimed. There's more to him than he looks, we can smell it. It's the scent of gods-he's like me. She said to Forest excitedly. I want to see what sorts of things he was made to do!

"Uh huh..." Entheo said, rolling his eyes.  Not all people were born vessels like him.  Of course she would say it and not the host.

Entheo kept his lazy finger pointed at her chest, taking a step forward.  Those cool blue eyes sharpened, his finger straightening into a spear that threatened to pierce her heart.  His head tilted back as those lips fell into a frown.  "Let me spell this out for you, all of you.  I don't care about your honor.  I'm not going to waste my time and energy fighting a goddess for her honor.  I am not going to waste my time on the petty whims of some spoiled brat goddess.  There is just nothing in it for me.  If you want to toss me through the city with your unlimited power or whatever I don't care.  Just don't use my body to destroy any Columbia cafe's or pizza joints.  I was looking forward to some Chicago style pizza."

The young man's passionate glare softened, finally letting his arm fall to his waist.  Once again, he began walking right past Thorra.  "I'll still take that date if you feel like chatting.  Otherwise don't waste my time."

Ah the petty whims of the gods huh?

Yeah you know how I feel about that.  A cute girl with a cute face and a nice body, but the personality of a tyrannical goddess none the less.  Its her feelings before everyone elses.

Why don't we hate her then?

I mean she's not actively malicious.  Look at those eyes.  She's like us.  She just likes to fight.  Those eyes aren't of malice but curiosity.

Then why aren't we fighting her?

A goddess who insists dear old daddy deserves respect without earning it?  A woman who demands respect without earning it?  You kidding me?  If I fight her, I have to acknowledge her.  No way in hell i'm doing that with such a diva.

Forest

That was something Forest had been too familiar with in her younger days.  The thrill of finding someone knew and wanting to test their abilities against hers.  It wasn't the devil-may-care death wish she secretly harbored after Aaron had left her, but just that whole blood knight mentality.

Then she noticed the blue-eyed young man wasn't going to take Thorra up on that fight. 

That he was going to do the sensible thing and just walk away.  And walking away would probably piss off Thorra even more.  Which is why he's doing it, she thought with a mental shake of her head.

She sent to Thorra, If you go after him, it means he's won this whole respect argument.  You getting pissed at him is just you giving the keys to all of your power and control.  Poppet, take a deep - unneeded in this body - breath and clear your head.

Thorra

Forest could feel the roiling emotions that Thorra was feeling as if they were her own. She was upset, but more than anything confused. She stood there, glaring at him, but with a faint glimmer of curiosity in her eyes.

I don't get it. Why isn't he willing to spar?

And so he kept walking, a ghost cat by his side and a warrior in his soul.  Not a single time did the young man look back, instead extending his hand in a lazy wave.  "I hope the hero thing works out," he said, looking towards the horizon.  "You two have a lot of work to do if you want to make good fighting duo."

Pizza or Chinese?

Entheo reached down to pick up his ghost cat.  Holding the animal in his arms, he smiled as he walked into the future.

Forest felt the construct's emotions and gritted her teeth.

People's thoughts were something else, something she was used to, however, empathy wasn't a power she was keen on getting any time soon.  She mentally shook herself.  Thorra was confused, which made Forest tilt her head in askance.

She answered, Because he thought you were manipulating him in the sparring match, that's why.  His refusing to fight us was his way of saying, "No, I'm not sinking to your level."  Now, I bet if you asked nicely, instead of fighting to regain the honor he literally gave zero fucks about, he'd take you up on it.

"I, huh? I wasn't doing anything like that, though." She replied. "People insulting my family isn't something I like at all."

Forest

The thing is Poppet, he doesn't know who your family is.  Most people get annoyed when one goes on and on about how great their family is without any reference.  The whole, "My dad can beat your dad up" thing gets old even in primary school.  I know you don't like your family insulted, but he was getting in a tiff about it.  Then you wanted to bring violence into it, which he didn't want to get tangled up with.

Forest gave the hammer the mental equivalent of a head pat.
