LANCELOT

Noel recoiled from the mere touch of his armored hand against hers, and she visibly shrank into herself before running over to Barthow’s vehicle. If just meeting someone freaked her out to such a high degree, there was no way she could handle the stress of combat. If the time came to fight, she would probably be a liability. Not that she was wrong to be scared of such a murderous, disgusting creature.

Lancelot got in the vehicle next to the detective and nodded at his instruction, but remained silent. He still wasn’t familiar enough with the city and modern society to question or offer ideas.

Well, he did want to ask why Noel was supposed to be their bodyguard, but he supposed Barthow had seen something worthwhile in the girl. Or perhaps he had no choice in the matter.

It struck Lancelot that maybe the police didn’t actually have anyone better. It would certainly explain why Arturia had wanted to bring him along.

KARIN ZARAZA

Karin stood in the middle of the empty park, arms crossed over her chest and one foot tapping on the stone pavement. Her icy blue eyes narrowed with impatience, apparently unbothered by the wind blowing strands of her short, raven black hair into her face. Brian stood nearby, shifting his weight from one foot to another while glancing around nervously. She had ordered him to stand watch and make sure nobody decided today was a good day for a picnic. Fortunately the cold, dreary weather was helping.

Without warning, a tall, blond young woman seemed to just step into existence only a few meters away. Karin’s lips twitched upward in a tiny smile. The circumstances weren’t perfect, but about as good as she could hope for.

When another very attractive redhead appeared right behind Mordred, Karin blinked in confusion. Nothing she knew had hinted at there being another person.

The stakes had just been upped. Allowing one of the two to escape would be risky. On the other hand, two test subjects were better than one.

“Good evening, ladies,” she said as she casually made her way over to the two supernatural women. The instant she closed into range Karin swung her fist in a simple and brutal sucker punch to Mordred’s gut. She held back of course; it wouldn’t do to damage the poor girl’s organs. In the next instant she charged forward at the pretty redhead, aiming to use the force of her body to bowl her target over.

Roxas

Roxas looked around as this new stranger assumed a battle stance.  They were in a congested area filled with people.  They couldn't spar here.  Maybe he could take the battle elsewhere.  He was going to have to play his first move very carefully

He summoned both of his keyblades, oathkeeper and oblivion.  He started running towards her, both keyblades dragging on the ground.  He raised oblivion and threw it at Rikuyo.  Continuing to run at Rikuyo, he gripped oathkeeper with a two handed stance, as if he were about to strike.  Just before he got within combat distance, he attempted to jump and land on top of the tree Rikuyo was sleeping on.  If he was successful, he would jump from the tree to the side of one of the nearby buildings and begin running up its walls.  His intention was to take the battle to one of the nearby rooftops.

Mia

Mia walked, and the moment her foot touched the ground spears of liquid metal were shot at her. They shot at blinding speeds, unsurpassed by humans.

But Mia was not human.

Her body moved, it spun and flowed, her blade dancing past the spears. Cut, cut, cut, cut, cut, cut, cut, cut, and cut. Her sword cut them all. It moved as if it was liquid, it moved as if it was light, swerving between spears and separating them from the rest of the metal.

Elegance and technique given form, a culmination of the killing arts of the blade crystallized within her, for she embodied murder itself.

And then she walked past as the now useless silver liquid, its connection to the man, the flow of energy animating it, was cut apart. It was not more then was it was. Repairable, but at the moment it was nothing more than mercury, nothing more than that metal poison.

And she continued walking towards him.

Suiren

She waved off the Lorenzo’s comment as she walked over to the area Butler suggested, and rapped her knuckle against it a couple of times before frowning.

“That bad huh?” She mumbled disappointed. Then without warning her punch flew out and struck the wall.

It exploded. There is no way other than that to describe it. The force of the punch struck the wall and it exploded. Pieces of the wall flew out into the parking lot on the other side, the now dislodged barred window frame smashing into a car.

“Well then Lorenzo, those are big words. Let’s see if you can back them up.” She declared as she stepped over the rubble and back into the parking lot. Completely ignoring the people that seemed to be scrambling and the others that seemed to start pointing weapons at her.

Crest

Crest scratched his head as Caedia shook her head in the universal sign for ‘no’ and turned to the white haired girl, the girl that kept looking at him with suspicion in her eyes.

Crest didn’t like her. She was definetly not one of the Saint’s Guard. To frail.  But she kept looking at him, watching him. It was like she saw something no one else did.

And he really didn’t like that.

Rebeca

Rebeca kept watching that man. She didn’t like him; she wouldn’t let him hurt Aki. So she kept some of her focus on him at all times, just in case.

But then other thoughts hit her mind. Caedia’s thoughts of her appearance struck her mind. She was used to hearing thoughts about it, but not from someone this close, someone who was directing all their attention her.

So, in embarrassment her face went red and she reached out and grabbed the person’s hand. IT was callused, it was hard and worn, the palm of a fighter.

“H-hey. I’m Rebeca, nice to meet you.” She said, with her embarrassment obvious.

Just

Just watched as the woman drained some of her blood, some of her pure white blood, into a vial and handed it to Anatu.

Ya, he was taking that as soon as he could. She might not like him for it, but like hell he would let her drink some random thing’s pure white blood. That was probably not a good idea.

Then one of the other men spoke up.

"Thank you for speaking up," he said, with a small smile. "Than already introduced me but... you can call me Sarse. And you are?"

“Just” he replied with a slightly gruff voice, “I just have to check something. You’re not human right? At least judging from what that one said.” He said using his thumb to point at the one who just drained some of their blood, “So you don’t either, A) Eat people, or B) oppress them in any way, right?”

He doubted it, he was being fairly… normal? Although he had to check, he was also good at telling when people were lying. But still had to check.

Mordred

Mordred staggered, struck by the force of the blow. Another super powered crazy. Not again. Not fucking again. Though it was seriously painful for her to stand, that didn't bother her as much as the fact she got caught off guard like some amateur. How ironical she preached to her companion about not dropping guard when coming back to the city. But, the enemy targeted now Emily instead of her, probably in belief that such punch would eliminate her outright from the fight. Not so fast, bitch. She had no time to draw her spear, but the enemy probably didn't expect she needed it for that Contract. Pointing her two fingers at the enemy, she fired a beam of light, not holding back even if her body cried from the pain.

Rikuyo

The boy's swords were oddly shaped and didn't resemble anything she has seen thus far. As he ran towards her threw one of them at her, as if it was something disposable. Such unusual move forced her to react long before her opponent got within the reach, jumping sideways to avoid it. Without losing momentum, she dashed forward in order to meet her opponent's charge head on. However, the boy actually retreated jumping towards one of trees. "Come on, don't run away like that!" the girl exclaimed, in belief that Roxas bailed out just to taunt her. Unlike him she didn't care that much about people around, if they were weaker they should have just moved out of way for their own good. Her mind was set on pursuing the boy though, and if he 'escaped' in such way there was no bystanders around, likely no one would get injured by accident.

Emily

The first thing that caught Emily's eye was the stranger that seemed to have been waiting for them. That said stranger greeted them as she approached them got her even more suspicious. She'd taken Mordred's warning to heart, however, and invoked the Contract she'd had ready since leaving the Hedge.

Then she moved, fist slamming into Mordred's gut before she moved forward to bowl Emily over. Or rather, she would have, had Emily not literally vanished into thin air, the air that was 'Emily' slipping away with the speed of a gale-force wind.

First things first, escape, worry about Mordred later.

Lorenzo Remei

"My, I can't say no to an eager lady like yourself, now can I? You want to dance, I'd be glad to join ya." said Lorenzo as he burst out in laughter, crouching in order to hold back what little hilarity he could hold back.

Wiping his teary eyes full of glee, he rose with a huge grin on his face and pointed to the skeleton.

"Bone guy, would you kindly bring me my sword and gun? Also... a smoke."

Roxas

Roxas was a bit surprised as he landed on the tree.  He didn't expect that to go over so well.  Jumped on the side of a building and began running up the wall to the roof.  He ran to the other side, awaiting his opponent, who he expected would show up in a matter of seconds.  He took his battle stance, gripping oathkeeper with two hands.  His legs were spread evenly and his knees were slightly bent.  He was ready for anything.

Vanguard

It was unclear, everything was unclear. Suffering, hatred, deceit, death. All lies, lies that bore no meaning other than an empty progress that amounted to nothing more than a lie. If the world was made of lies, if these lies brought pain, why should they be accepted? Why did he, the man who opposed such lies, become so adamant on their existance? Why did he bring forth these very lies, in an attempt to cease these lies. Was the very ideal he stood for a lie?

Or perhaps he was the one who had lied to himself the whole time. Truth, lie, all was mingled and unclear. He who thought understanding the workings of the world was confused, lost. Perhaps that woman was right, he understood nothing.

Unacceptable. He wanted to change the world, it's sickening cycle of destruction that only gave birth to suffering. But how can a man give birth to change if he cannot change himself?

Yes, David had helped him. The city, it helped him. Had he not seen, or at least thought on that struggle that was so futile yet so glorious,he would have lost himself.

If, of course, he had not lost himself already.

Vanguard needed to meditate, a calm area without disturbance and posessing some form of spiritual presence would do. Walking aimlessly in search of such a place, he finally found what seemed to be a park.

KARIN ZARAZA

Karin skidded to a halt as the redhead she was gunning for suddenly disappeared with a gust of wind. She whirled around, trying see where the woman had gone, but she seemed to have just vanished into thin air.

Then a bright light suddenly lit up the park, and heat scorched at her back. Karin turned around to face what was attacking her, winced at the heat and bright light in her face, and powered through the beam. She reached out and grabbed Mordred by the throat, and then bodily lifted the woman into the air. Karin narrowed her eyes slightly and began to squeeze, choking her.

Brian watched the battle nervously. It was always a bit disturbing to see the boss at work. The crunching of ice and snow brought his attention to someone wearing a suit of armor wandering into the park. Brian gave a long suffering sigh, knowing that it fell to him to redirect this stranger elsewhere.

"Hey, it's best you get out of here," he said, walking closer to the armored man.

Vanguard

An unknown man walked up to him and told him it was best to leave. On other circumstances, he would have complied. But a noise had caught his attention, and the living armor gazed upon what appeared to be Mordred being choked by someone.

As if he could stand idle to such a display.

Vanguard grunted and looked down at the man. Without warning, he threw his cape at him and simulantaneously sent his foot at his throat, only to go for a kick in the plexus instead. He had not time to waste, so it would be preferable to dispatch that man quickly, else Mordred would be in grave danger.

Medaka

Medaka thought about her time with Lorenzo as she tracked the tires to the police station, where she assumed Lorenzo was being held.  They had been through so much together in such a short time.  In their fight with the dark man, she learned that she was not as powerful as in her old world.  Or at least, there were people here that were far more powerful than she was.  This idea was both scary and exciting.  It meant that she could work hard, as a normal person rather than as a "genius".  She would not be distanced from others, as she once was when she was a child.  Her purpose in life was to help others and being in this new world changed nothing.

Medaka walked into the police station.  She looked around and saw that the police officers were arguing frantically about what to do about the woman who punched a hole in the wall.  Medaka ignored the police officers and walked directly into the cell area, where she found Lorenzo, and a skeleton.  There seemed to be a hole in the wall as well.

Mordred

The woman's strength was overwhelming, strength sapped from Mordred with every second as she grasped her thoought. Trying to resist her, she bolstered her strength for a short burst, burning through her Glamour, and kicking at her enemy with strength enough to flip over a small car. Defiant to the end, she tried anything she could to get away from Karin.

She paused for a moment, seeing small figure of Roxas running up the wall. "He's really not just climbing the wall? He's good! Oh well, I'll do that, I guess." She didn't feel like transforming yet, but she could always access a record of an animal without showing signs of outward change to just to get into mindset of that animal. She fancied "picking" animal that was good at vertical climbing just to be sure she didn't fall down. "Hey, wait for me! You could have just told me you like heights!" she called out, before she started climbing up the building steadily.

Roxas paused for a second.  He realized that Rikuyo was not coming up right away as he thought.  He thought he heard her shouting but it was muffled by the distance between them.  They were just sparing so he decided to wait for her.  Perhaps she realized his intentions and decided to go along with him.  In retrospect it was probably just a good idea to ask her anyway.

He maintained his battle stance, still focused and ready to move.

N-n-n-Noel!!!!!

Noel stayed as close as possible to Henry, almost holding onto his coat. She cried out in dismay when Lancalot got in the front seat. I-I don’t want to sit next to Saber! She despaired as Saber got in the back. Noel sullenly got in the back seat. This sucks. I don’t want to go into the sewers, but they need me! There’s obviously a reason why they chose me, and not somebody else! She tried to psych herself up for the unpleasant events that she knew were coming. She noticed Saber look at her and begin to speak. "This is a very serious expedition.  You need to be sharp and focused; your life is not the only one you need to be aware of." Saber told her in a serious voice.

Nononono-She’s speaking to me, what do I do? WhatdoIdowhatdoIdowhatdoIdo? Noel reflexively summoned Bolverk into her hands as she began to panic, causing her fear and indecision to fade away into nothing. She sighed before responding to Saber with a curt nod.

“I-I know. I read the report.” She said in a calm and collected voice. “I know that I’m not the only one down there, and I promise I’ll do my absolute best to protect everyone.”

As soon as she finished talking, the raven looked at her, clearly unimpressed, before hopping down from her shoulders and turning back into a man. He followed her for a little bit, before Sakura noticed a large number of small, green balls of light floating around her, seemingly following her.

What? she thought, confused.

The man quickly explained his actions, however, informing her that these things could be sent back to him to summon him if she were in need of protection from the blob-man. He also mentioned that the fudge they had found the blob-man in had been his own creation, and had likely killed several people. Sakura frowned at this information, clearly angered by the total lack of concern the blob-man had shown for others. At the same time, though, the man in front of her seemed not to be much better, judging by his attitude to Irisviel.

"I see. Well, he seems to have disappeared, fortunately. I do not trust him, and if it is as you say then he is not someone who I wish to be around, although, your lack of concern for Irisviel is also rather disturbing. If he attempts to attack me, I will call for you with these", she said, still following Irisviel.
