Cross Effects 3.0 - April 13, 2015—June 23, 2016

Irisviel

Irisviel was alarmed by what happened to her loyal and awesome servant, Towuh. As he screamed and writhed in pain, she ran over to him, dropping the pretense of the wires completely, and a healing light covered his entire body.

Then, a strange man appeared in front of her, bleeding and missing most of an arm. She yelped, before turning to heal him as well. She wanted to at least stabilize him before he died on her.

Lorentohuw Balagan

Tohuw gritted his teeth in indignation. His master was daring to heal him, indebting him further and further. This was unacceptable, unforgivable. The pain soon faded away, somewhat, only for another hindrance to appear before her eyes.

Frozen in place, the demon glared at the pile of meat standing before him in disgust. Death in his eyes and smoke seeping from his mouth, he could barely contain his urge, that deep animalistic urge all demons possess to break and wound and kill and maim. While he, Tohuw Balagan was not so base, they did not agree with him one bit. They simply wished for him to eradicate the pest before him, the pest that dared to inflict such shame upon he, Tohuw Balagan!

But he would have none of it.

Oh how he wished, for even the slightest second, to tear that poor fool to shreds and vent out his frustrations on him like a piece of modern art. Oh, how that would be lovely. But alas, that would not do. At least not now.

On second thought, that imbecile looked far too stupid to be the cause of this. And honestly, he cared far too little to actually bother exerting his grim will. So with a sigh, he relaxed-

And the floor surrounding him cracked ominously. With that, Tohuw nodded politely and stood, smiling weakly.

"My, my. I must have eaten something that isn't quite agreeing with me. If you excuse me, I need to take a breath of fresh air." He replied with a gentle, kind and calm, very very calm tone. In a way, it wasn't quite false. He surely did need out for the moment.

"Is that alright with you, milady?"


Sakagami Kenzo

"YAAAAAAAAAAY!!" Kenzo cheered happily, jumping up with abright cheery smile. Then, he grabbed onto her hands and held them while jumping up and down in celebration.

"Okay, so, its gonna be super awesome! There's warm baths and saunas and stuff, and I have enough food left to last for two more months! Its gonna be huuuuuge!"

Caedia

As the pillar of ice sent Akiholarme flying and Crest ran like a chimera was chasing him down Caedia took a second to catch her breath. Contrary to popular belief magic was not powered by any supernatural force, it was something fueled purely by the stamina of the body. Glicel was not a small spell by any means and even someone as ridiculous as herself got a bit winded when using it.

Then she pulled back her outstretched hand as the pillar shattered and rapidly began to melt before running away in the opposite direction. Surely there was another exit somewhere here and even if there wasn't she could make one or get back to the start. The Arisen may not have been the fastest but her stamina was insane and she was not slow either. She could keep a sprint up for a while until the other person simply gave up.

Suspicious Medaka

Medaka stepped out of the way so that the white haired woman could attend to her comrade.  The white haired woman put away her weaponized wires and suddenly and frantically attended to Lorenzo.  Without a word, she began casting some sort of spell to heal him.  If she was able to heal the damage to her head, she would definitely be able to save him.  As she was healing him, Lorenzo said something that was kind of off.

"Is that alright with you, milady?"

Milady?  That was incredibly formal of him.  Furthermore, the way he said that, it was genuine, calm, lacking in his usual playfulness.  It was odd.  Plus, she had been tricked by Toe not too long ago, she didn't want her heart broken again.  Another thing, she knew he was a fire mage but when did he ever gain the ability to excrete smoke from his body.  Plus, why did he have a violent look in his eye?  Did it have to do with the odd reaction he had earlier? On the other hand, he was only this serious or calm during a great crisis and Lorenzo sometimes had strange reactions in dire situations.  Perhaps this was one of them?  She also didn't know much about magic.  For all she knew he could have had that ability all along. There was only one way to find out the truth.

"Don't worry, ill go with him.  I want to make sure he is ok."  She added with genuine concern.

Rin

Rin flinched at Sakura's words and said, "I'll find something else.  It's really expensive, isn't it?"  She put the Smokey Palette she had picked up back down, stepping away from the display.


Forest

Forest laughed at Kenzo's proclamation and then tilted her head.  "So you're going to keep me for two months?"

Urthemiel

As a half dead man appeared out of nowhere and dropped onto the floor the mage could almost feel a headache coming on, but he didn't waver from observing the intruder. Such rage at the newcomer for seemingly no reason other than the fact that he appeared along with smoke seeping out of his mouth  followed by one of the sloppiest show at calming down he had ever seen. Especially when the floor cracked and he changed to such abnormal, polite behaviour. Regardless if he left Urthemiel had no reason to be concerned.

Still it was rather foolish of Irisviel to keep healing when she had already expended so much energy with the girl before. Having to help all the time was becoming increasingly annoying. Despite this he still extended a ray of light that attached itself to Irisiviel's magic and began to add even more fuel to alleviate the burden. "You should know better than to try and fix everything when you've already tired yourself, Lady Einzbern."

"Of course!" Kenzo grinned before giving her a thumbs up. "You should take the vroom thing, its a bit far. I think. Do you like mountains?"

Sakura pushed Rin back towards the display case. “No, no, no!” Sakura complained to Rin. “This is going to be yours! Nee-san, don’t be stingy with me! Okay?”

Forest

"Mountains . . . Where I was born had many cliffs," Forest said, shaking her head.  "And wait, there's mountains here?"

They were heading back to the car when the sky lit up.  Automatically, the vampire cried out and covered her head with the duster.  She started to run for cover when she realized she wasn't catching fire.

However, this bright light was . . . uncomfortable.  She felt weak, a little dizzy, as if it had been days since she last fed.  Looking up, she saw the bright light creating an artificial day and grimaced.

"I bloody hate this fucking place," she said as she turned to her car, her hands fumbling for the keys.


Rin

"I'm . . . " Rin gasped as Sakura began to push her back to the display case.  "I"m not stingy!  I'm just frugal.  Like your Sempai's frugal, you know . . ."

As Sakura pushed Rin, one of the shop women behind the counter spot the lovely sisters and approached them.  "Hello, do you ladies need any help?"  She flashed a smile at them.  Rin grimaced at the sight of her way too much eyeliner and plump lips with dark liner but with pale lipstick.

“No, we don’t need any help!” Sakura exclaimed excitedly, rebuffing the woman. “My sister is just beiing a bit silly right now. Aren’t you, Nee-san?” Sakura asked with a smile and abit of humor.

Rin

"I am not being silly," Rin said in a soft voice as she was pushed to the counter.  She did whisper to Sakura, "If that woman gave us advice for make up, it would have been very bad."

“No, it would have been fine, we’d have just ignored her.” Sakura said. “I’ll buy you this, then we can find Vanguard and go figure out what to do next."

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo was about to open the vroom vroom mobile along with Fore when she suddenly cried out in horror, or pain. Quickly, she went for cover and used something to cover herself. At the same time, Kenzo winced in pain, gripping his arms tightly and clenching his teeth as he followed the girl's lead. Instantly, without pause or sunrise it was daylight. The sky was as clear as if it was morning, no, clearer. This was not meant to be, he had never seen such a thing. And honestly, he preferred it that way.

Quickly, he dashed next to her and took cover as well, trembling while sweat dripped from his strained face. Taking a deep breath, he calmed down a bit. That sensation, that feeling felt completely wrong to him. It was as if he was, for a second, falling endlessly and disappearing. Like a grain of salt dropped in a lake. It made him sick just to think of it. And the heat, as soon as those small flakes of light touched him he felt like he was burning from the inside.

As if there was something burning inside him, something slowly turning to ash.

What is that...

"I bloody hate this fucking place," she said as she turned to her car, her hands fumbling for the keys.

Kenzo looked at Fore with a troubled look, mustering as much sympathy as he could. He was clearly in pain, but he tried not to make a scene. Instead, he laid his hand on her shoulder in a friendly manner.

"Hey, its alright. Don't know what's happening there, but it seems like bad news. Lets hurry."

Suiren

Suiren looked back at her handy work, looking at the destroyed trees. It was then she noticed they seemed… not as shattered? The splintering woods seemed to be smoothing out and darkening as they stood there, like it was growing.

‘Well. Shit.’, Suiren thought, vaguely impressed at what she saw. It wasn’t like demons couldn’t do something like that, but there were no signs of it, it was just happening.

Then again, she was always a shit sensor.

"Here? I came to this area of the city to observe my Children and their works. I'm here before you because it is rather rare to see a Child that is both mine and not mine, yet I do admit that the fact that you had pummeled the area is of interest to me. What angers one as strong as yourself?" said the woman as she walked over and sat on the grass.

Suiren looked back at her, staring at her for a moment and then sighed. Then she let herself fall onto the ground and laid down, the snow lightly crunching beneath her.

“I lost a fight.” She said simply, with a sour look on her face.
