Shirou
Shirou stood there, numb, as Sakura sobbed into the other Shirou's arms, every single sob like a dagger thrust into his heart. Shirou heard Rin berating him, telling him what he already knew. That he'd hurt Sakura, that she was sad because of him, that he had, by his own actions, caused the person he had sworn to always protect to cry.
Sure, it wasn't his Sakura. Yes, it had been an honest mistake. But, to Shirou, none of that mattered. All that mattered was that Sakura was in pain because of his actions.
Shirou simply stood there, tears beginning to form in his own eyes as his heart broke more and more at the sound of every sob from the alternate version of the woman he loved more than anything in the world.
He simply had no idea how to respond. Normally, when Sakura was upset like this, he would take her into his arms, comfort and reassure her. But, in this world, that role was filled by someone else, and he was simply a helpless bystander listening to her cry .
As he stood there, paralysed with uncertainty, he suddenly found himself able to see once more as the shadow tendrils forming the blindfold he had been wearing dissipated. The sight that entered his eyes when he did broke his heart even more. He could see Sakura gasping for air, clearly having a total breakdown, shaking and sobbing in Shirou's arms.
Shirou looked on sadly, tears in his eyes, attempting to compose himself to try to apologise further, wondering what he could say to make things better. Indeed, if he should say anything at all. Before he could give any response, though, the other Shirou began to lead Sakura up the stairs, glaring at him as he did. Shirou looked guiltily at Sakura and the other Shirou as they walked up the stairs slowly, knowing that this was probably the best solution, to get her away from him and up to her room with the Shirou she loved.
When they had finally gone, he turned to address Rin, unsure what else to do.
“I.. I'm sorry”, he said, almost in tears. “I thought she was my wife. I'm so sorry, I really didn't want her to get hurt like this. I hope she'll be OK....”
