Under the black onslaught the construct expected this to be finished soon. Every strike she made cracked bone and ripped flesh. Despite his skill every punch he deflected tired him out and her attacks were ceaseless. Her victory was certain. It was inevitable that-

For the first time in the fight her blue eyes widened in shock. It wasn't possible for a human to stand up to this! His body was too broken, too shattered that not even the fear of death could give him strength. But he did so anyways, and her surprise delayed her reaction. As he rushed forwards she pulled back, but his bloodied fist crashed against her head and sent shards of her face flying into the are just as a Fist crashed down on him.

The Spirit Vessel unconsciously stepped down onto the ground and stood still as she lifted the fist. She was missing a an eye and a bit of her head around it but stared at the stranger's downed body. Ever so slowly rings made up of blue letters surrounded her head and began making small repairs even as aura spiraled out of the wound into the air, but for once her focus was not on her status but on that of her opponent.

Only human. It was almost amazing how he kept fighting. Was this that strength of soul? Their blade of want? "You were a worthy enemy. Do you still cling to life?"

Annabeth

"Thanks," the Hunter said briefly before patting the flying worm, eyes alight with curiosity. While she was more than a little intrigued, there was no cause to be worried, as animals generally seemed to get along with her just fine. She vaguely remembered some nostalgic old man telling her that a true Hunter was usually good with animals, but the cowgirl had laughed it off. After all, she was hardly one to demean that one Hacker who'd run for Chairman, and that guy was a Hunter all the same.

The cowgirl was broken from her reverie amidst petting the surprisingly warm flying worm, looking at the blonde man who'd been accompanying the girl.

"Annabeth Miller," she said simply before turning back to the girl, "So, who are you? And what kind of pet is this? I honestly don't think I've seen anything like it."

[SINIB]

Oka

Oka looked at her with total incredulity. How could somebody not have heard of a pokèmon before? She had to be misunderstanding something. It didn't make sense otherwise. "It's a Volcarona. A fire and bug type Pokemon. And his name is Wormy. He doesn't like being referred to as an it."

[Thedoctor]

Jin

Jin wasn't too surprised by Annabeth's question, it was the first time he had seen one of these...pokémon himself. "It's not that surprising actually, Pokémon are pretty rare in this city from what I can tell. Wait fire type, does that mean it can breathe fire?" Jin said looking at the pokémon warily.

[Elf]

Corbin

"Is this some elaborate ploy to arrest me officer- I cannot actually remember your name, odd is it not?"

Corbin rolled his eyes and said, "If I was going to arrest you, I'd read you your rights.  And my name is Corbin. C-o-r-b-i-n.  Means 'Raven' or 'Crow' like the bird.  Which I can turn into.  No, I was suggesting we go somewhere and talk."

He then took off his jacket and handed it to her.

Shinobu

"You can keep your jacket Crowbin" Shinobu said as she started ripping off her ruined clothes until she was naked. She then looked down at her body confirming that nothing was missing. When she was finished a new set of the same clothes mysteriously appeared on her body.

"Well then lead the way, this place is getting rather dull."

[Elf]

Corbin

Corbin watched as she undressed and inspected herself.  He admired the flawless white skin and subtle curves and frowned a bit once she was clothed again.  He slid on his coat as she said,
"Well then lead the way, this place is getting rather dull."

He smiled at that; one thing that plagued a lot of immortals was boredom. 

"So, are you new to Nexus?  Do you have a place to stay?"

[Thedoctor]

The man called Corbin asked her if she was new to "Nexus" while they were walking away from the alleyway.

The vampire had realized since she arrived that she wasn't in her own world anymore, the name Nexus itself could hold meaning that described it's existence, such thinking was common to her and it lead her to ask her next question. "I have only been here in this Nexus for a few hours at most. Judging by the name I take it this is a place where dimensions overlap?"

[Elf]

Corbin

"Hole in one, Shinobu, hole in one," Corbin said with a nod.  "So, you don't have a place to stay, do you?"

[Thedoctor]

Shinobu

"Place to stay? I am the greatest vampire that has ever lived, this whole city belongs to me" A sudden menacing aura permeated the scene the sky turned red and all that could be heard was a terrible and frightnening laughter. "hahahaha.....actually to answer your questio, such a place do not exist." The aura from before was completely gone as if it's existence had been lie. "How much further is it?"

[Elf]

Corbin

"Place to stay? I am the greatest vampire that has ever lived, this whole city belongs to me," the blond said.

Corbin blinked as the sky turned red and Shinobu started to laugh. It was a chilling, wicked, and lovely sound.  "Hahahahaha.....actually to answer your question, such a place do not exist." The aura from before was completely gone as if it's existence had been lie. "How much further is it?"

"A few miles.  If I had my bike we'd be there in a tick, but someone caused it to blow up earlier.  Is my place okay?  I've got a room."

[Thedoctor]

Shinobu

"I suppose your place is better than nothing". Walking a few miles might be annoying she thought when she got an idea that could would speed things up. "Grab onto my shoulders and I can run there faster than any bike, I would like some explanations now but you seem like the type that does not talk in the open." 

[Elf]

Corbin

"Hey, my place is very comfy and I have cable," Corbin said with a frown.  He did grab her shoulders and pointed.  "Go down Second Street until you hit Broadway.  Then make a right on Baxter.  It's 1302.  The old brownstone."

[Thedoctor]

Shinobu

Shinobu flexed her legs and then in one instant when time itself slow down to a crawl she took off, like fired from a cannon. Breaking the limit which a human could possbly run at, breaking the speed limit, breaking through everything, until the world become blur from her movement, or was it the world that was moving and they were the ones standing still?

The dash continued past cars over cars, jumping on top of a truck and running across it and then jumping to a truck going in the opposite direction running across it too. Finally reaching the building, after a ditance of several miles had been crossed in less than a minute they arrived at the building.

The dash wasn't finished, far from it. Shinobu kept going at the same speed heading straight at the wall, then just before they crashed she put her foot on it and changed direction, They were going vertically up it, all the way to the moon, and then the grand finale a jump that had them spinning five times through the air before landing on Corbin's balcony.

Corbin

"Holy fuck, can we do that again?  That was wicked," he said with a laugh as they landed on his balcony.  He gave Shinobu's shoulder's a squeeze before he went to unlock the door leading to his bedroom.

"It was like warp speed you see in those Star movies, you know?  WHOOSH!"  He laughed as he got the door opened and gave her a smile.

"I bid you welcome and invite you in."

Bloody hell, if running was that intense, what would shagging be like with this girl?
