The demon’s hand subconsciously neared the scabbard of his blade, but he did not reach it. Instead, he spoke calmly, if only with a tinge of mild annoyance.
“That implies that you’ll still be alive by then, farewell.”
And without warning Kenzo walked away.
Darcy Hugh
The fact she couldn’t figure it out already was ludicrous, let alone asking about it, but Darcy did not seem to mind. He looked completely eased and untroubled by her question. Instead, he closed his eyes and looked up and rested his finger on his chin as if to ponder on the matter.
“Uh, not sure. Still, it’s pretty rude to make assumptions; didn’t your mother teach you that?” He said nonchalantly before stretching.
He seemed a bit annoyed by her question, but not aggravated. If anything, one could say that he wasn’t very mindful. One might believe that the fact he could get over most things easily was a quality of his, but whether it was true or not was debatable.
One thing was sure, it was that Darcy didn’t seem to care much, instead lying back on his chair, stretching lazily and giving her a friendly grin.
“You thought I had burned back there, didn't you? *sigh* Well, can't blame you for that. Still, calling out such unpleasant memories can be painful. It could've been just a dumb kitchen accident in my case, but what if it wasn't? Well, you know what they say, a gallon a day keeps the pain away, haha! God, I need a drink...”
