The fallen angel had to close his eyes from all the dust and gravel knocked up by his opponent, but it wouldn't be the first time he'd fought without his sight. Instead he focused on getting his balance back, and pinpointing his opponent's approximate location. He accomplished this by turning the creature's heat against it, allowing the sensation alighting on his gradually regenerating nerves and skin to guide him to the pirate's position.

He parried an incoming blow announced by the sound and feeling of displaced air, and performed a sweeping kick in the direction of the largest heat source in the alley.

Shit- The pirate lost balance and fell over, but with catlike agility he landed on his arms and rolled back, increasing the distance between the two. The pirate immediately took a defensive stance.

"Sorry about that, you're scary." He said earnestly, commending his opponent for his skill. "You seem like a decent lad, but I'd hate to die." In a blur faster than any human he dashed forward only to sidestep and go for a quick jab to the man's nose, guarding with his other arm.

Joe

Joe

“Nah im good.”  His voice was still very cheerful.  With a slight skip to his step, he hopped onto the boat.  He walked over to the motor as Rin talked to the attendent.

The attendant shrugged. “No there are no sharks here I assure you.  Thats the other oversized lake several miles away.  Its kinda funny actually.  You would think that place is less popular but its actually the opposite.  Turns out teenagers really like hanging out in places where the water is shark infested.”

Just as he was figuring out where to place the keys, darkness blanket the sky.  Joe’s optimistic smile was completely overtaken by a fearful scowl.  “Oh no.”  He whispered, dropping the keys in their place.

The attendant too stood frozen, completely silent as he gazed at the dark sky.  However, just as quickly as it appeared, it vanished without a trace.  The attendant wordlessly rushed back to the kiosk.

"Well..."
The doll turned around to greet the arriving scientist back

"I am not built *for* it... But i am certainly capable. What is it you want me to do, specifically?"

Rin

The young magus gritted her teeth as she looked over at Joe and the attendant, both of which looked terrified.

"Damn it, if I had my equipment, I could probably trace the source of this," Rin said to herself before looking at the two men again.  She then bent down and picked up the dropped keys, clutching them thoughtfully.

She rose up again and said, "That was weird."

Gadreel

He turned his head aside and took the burning blow to his jaw instead. Yet even with his cheek almost seared through he still managed to give a rebuttal. "Alas, you're already dead!"

The angel's eyes opened once more, and the speed of his attacks increased. A barrage of short kicks and punches sought to grind the skeleton between two walls, one of flesh and another of stone. He would not stop until his opponent could fight no more, or he was somehow forced to.

Rin walked over and grabbed the keys.  There was an instant of levity for him as he got an accidental shot of her breasts.  Out of politeness, he averted his eyes to the ground.  After that, her words finally clicked in his head.

“Wait, are you a bounty hunter or something?”  He asked, genuinely curious.

Tch, too strong! As quick as he was on his feet, he couldn't stop this flurry of blows. Forced on the defensive, he was slowly but surely smashed towards the wall. As soon as his back would touch the stone, his loss would be carved in it.

But while desperately fending off brutal attacks, just as he was being pushed at the last second the pirate stomped on the ground, sending a fiery streak that propelled him above like a rocket, only for him to kick off the wall and flip behind his opponent. In a split second, a cold flash of metal blurred over the man's back and the world stopped as the point of his rapier trickled the nape of his neck.

"No, you are." He said jokingly, letting the moment sink in before backing off, whipping his blade in a deliberate motion only to gain a few feet of distance and bowing.

"Shall we dance another round?" He asked, pointing his sword to the ground towards him in a pompous fashion.

That would not have slain him. Still, this presented a dilemma to Gadreel as he turned to once more face his opponent. "I do believe that our wager was confined to the realm of hand to hand combat." He said to the skeleton with a disapproving frown.

His hand went to the hilt of his accursed sword. "And in any event, to draw Dainsleif now against a foe without life would be to condemn an innocent bystander to death. Or myself. This, I will not do."

The pirate looked at his foe curiously then turned to the by-standing girl.

"Oh? Oi. When did I say something about using only fists, little lady? Mhhhhhhhhhh??" He asked sarcastically, but suddenly he turned deadly serious.

"Sounds to me like you're just making excuses. When it comes to girls, a man must do more than just face fire, he must be ready to fight with all he's got, even if it means dying. That's what it means... to be a man."

Rin

"Oh, well, not technically, but I have turned in a couple of bounties as a side effect of what I really do," Rin said with a slow blink.

Oh yeah, I'm a magus. That'll go really well, Rin thought to herself as she held out the keys to him.

Joe did not raise his hands to take the keys.  Instead, he raised his eyebrow at her.  "So, you turn in bounties but your not a bounty hunter...  Then, what are you?"

Malcolm Kimberlee

Malcolm eyed over the contract and read it carefully, frowning more and more as he went on. He turned back to the detective and gave him a funny look.

"This sounds fishy."

Mordred

The relative serenity that they had been enjoying was now spoiled by an ominous event. The sky suddenly darkened in a middle of the day, and it was impossible that they could have stayed up too long. While the sky still didn't feel as opressive as when the night turned into a day, around 6 months ago, it still seemed to be a bad omen. No way that it was a natural phenomenon.

But as she stood up and looked at the sky with a visible concern, the sky turned back few moments later. Of course, that didn't calm her much. Something grand like that couldn't be ignored so easily.

"Shit, something or someone is screwing with the sky again? Seems like we'll have our hands full again."

Julius

"No, someone who perform his duties right deserves an acknowledgment. Future generations cannot get inspired if people fighting the good fight will not be remembered." It seemed like that the knight was even more humble than Julius. After all, Julius didn't reject a praise when it was warranted.

Julius also mentally noted what just Sakura said. It was so helpful to know what potential allies were capable of, so in return he would share information about his own tools of trade. "I am not someone who can wield magic, but my weapon was made by an old Italian alchemist and it works particularly well against those who are not human, especially if they have fallen into villainy. Also, to my relief my Lord, Jesus Christ, have answered my prayers a lot. I'm deeply thankful for His assistance."
