The Spirit Vessel nodded in mutual recognition. For Noel's sake. "It was no trouble. But have things gone well for you since then? I recall that your employment then was to the law enforcement of this city. I do not doubt your ability but such a thing can be strenuous over time." Her words tasted of concern.

Her eyes flickered to Noel's cart and quickly took note of the items within.

Rin

"Christians aren't known for their use of magic.  They tend to look down on that sort of thing," Rin said as she eyed the skeletal fist presented to her. "Now, will there be enough money for Joe to retire on?"

Forest

Still fuming the vampire found the safe in question.  Even if she hadn't nabbed the combination, breaking into this safe wouldn't be exactly hard.  Hell, there wasn't even any magic protecting it either.  In someways these drug runners had their act together, but compared to a lot of the forces here they were just idiot children playing with matches.

She wondered if she should put on gloves to take the money and shrugged.  She had already left her own blood on the floor after she got shot, and she hadn't even really harmed those gangsters.  They just had a few bruises and a loss of about two pints of blood each.  "Probably in better shape than what that Jesus loving fannybawbag left upstairs," she said to herself as she opened the safe.

Lucy

Shoes, socks, and shorts went flying around into a pile of clothes by one of the chairs. "I'm still waiting for my check from big Lucy. Need to make do with some normal things in the meantime."

Lucy took a cup to the water cooler that was full of wine and filled it up. Then she held it up to the angel. It was good stuff. Delicious and more than good enough for getting yourself wasted. "Put the shirt in the pile, Gaddy. Oh, and do you wanna have a drink before taking your nap."

Gadreel

"You just desire to stare at my musculature." T'was an obvious observation. Not that he was incapable of seeing this Lucy's bare feet and legs in this context, himself. Still, it was her shirt that he was wearing, and if she insisted that he remove it he had little choice in the matter. Soon he was topless and sitting down on the sofa. "Your father, then? I am... surprised that he bothered to have a child who took human form. He quite despised humans in the time I knew him."

He accepted the glass with a nod. He was incapable of becoming intoxicated, but the taste would be welcome.

Lucy

Lucy had taken her place on the angel's lap and leaning onto him as she spoke. "Mhm, that's still true. But it isn't about what he likes. It's about proving the point. I will be like the most High. A savior beloved by all, who all are loyal to, who owns and relishes in the hearts of men and keeps them close forever and ever. He's still too in love with showing off."

Instead of taking a sip from her own cup she spilled some on Gadreel and slowly licked it off his chest and neck. "It works because I'm just as egotistical."

Rafalia Tredecim

She had found another believer in the onthological virtue of chips! Praise invisible be to Harumaph! But it was good to see him puff out his chest, so to speak, even if she didn't know him at all. She could so far surmise he didn't like being scary, that he liked chips, and that he was easily moved by a nice choice of words.

"You are most welcome," Rafalia said, before she made a curtsey. "And you may call me Rafalia. I'm curious, how should I call you and what concerns you?"

"Well..."

The doll followed after the dollmaker, throwing a glance at the merchandise and down the stairs.

"Good for you i'm not in the custom of taking payment up front."

Putting on his hood, he headed out into the street and to the hospital.

Anastasia

"Huh, I see. You don't look like one of Dwarves either." Anastasia commented, stating the obvious. He seemed to be not well built enough to be a Dwarf. And there was a distinct lack of a beard. And certainly he wasn't a Halfling either. "I'm sorry I assumed that."

Gnomes weren't popular people to begin with, so he must have gotten into trouble repeatedly for his appearance. She could certainly sympathise about being distrusted by others.

Petra

Gah, what an awkward question. She really didn't want to admit about knowing her in person while Liam was around. Forest was a known trouble magnet after all.

"There are so many vigilantes in this city that it's hard to keep track of them. Do you really want to pursue her? You look as if you want to have a word with her. I will take care of the evidence, I don't really mind if you go after her."

Forest

Liam

The vampire nodded to Petra. "Just wanna make sure she's really on the up and up. Shouldn't talk too long." And then off he went, following the scent and the sound of footsteps to where he knew the blonde would probably be. Once he got there, he made sure to let his foot creak on the flooring to let her know he was there. Walked in right in the middle of her trying to put in the combination.

"There some kinda history between you and Petra?" He couldn't help but ask. "Didn't seem much friendly to me."

Michael

To the immortal's curiosity, Katase's posture shifted to reveal something he wondered how he hadn't noticed before. That all-too-familiar combination of longing and loneliness that nigh-invariably was left over after losing someone close. In Katase's case, likely her last wielder, and rather recently at that, judging by the intensity. All the same, taking that into consideration, her answer was not at all surprising. After all, Michael was all too familiar with loss himself. He knew of the gap it invariably left in the bearer, that void aching to be filled. He'd felt it over and over again, countless times over his countless years, until he'd eventually grown numb to it.

The immortal knew he'd never forget, all the same, and thus her answer wasn't surprising at all. If anything, it was to be expected.

"Very well," Michael said with a solemn look, "I'd be perfectly willing to wait, seeing as I've got nothing but time. Events have already been set into motion, however. Farewell, Muramasa Katase."

Methuselah

Methuselah kept eating the chips awkwardly. On one hand, they were really good, on the other, this girl just came and spoke to him. He still couldn't believe it, did she really call him handsome? What if she liked him!? Damn, he wasn't psychologically ready for a committed relationship just yet!

"Oh! Um, I am Methuselah. Y-you can call me that." He said while munching more chips, a little shy, a little nervous but doing his best to keep a composed air. It almost worked, eating while talking sure helped. Damn, he really should have put a better coat or something.

He looked around, tapped his fingers and thought for a little. She seemed nice and polite, and she did compliment him. He guessed it wouldn't be so bad if he opened his heart to her a little, just a little. He wouldn't want to look weak and scare her away after all.

"Well, I guesss if you must know... I feel lonely. I mean, look at me! I used to be a dark god, a powerful god, but no one seems to look up to me! It's not like I like being scary, people just thought a dark god had to look blatantly dangerous. Ughhhh! All I want is a girlfriend, a nice cute girl who will care for me and understand me! Is that too much for a dark avatar to ask!?"

Methuselah crossed his arms and pouted with a loud hmph. Phew, that actually got him a little worked up. It felt good to let things off his chest once in a while, hopefully she'd be understanding.

Forest

Forest heard the foot creak as the door to the lock clicked and swung open.  Inside there was a fair stack of cash, probably a little over $10,000.00 in US bucks, some files stacked in manila folders, a couple of thumb drives, and, which struck Forest as odd, an antique gemstone necklace

"There some kinda history between you and Petra?" the Not-quite Irish accent said from behind her, "Didn't seem much friendly to me."

Forest picked up the necklace and eyed it.  "Funnily enough I thought we were on decent terms since the last time we parted, but apparently I was bloody wrong," she said before turning back to the guy with the baseball bat.  "My fucking luck," she added before stashing the necklace in her pocket and reaching for the cash.

"Does she know you're a vampire?" It was better to just ask that sorta thing bluntly. He tried not to make any threatening motions, since he knew that could get his kind riled up. "Or is it something else?"

Forest

Forest blinked at this guy's question and looked up at him.  Good looking, not in the "he pretty much checks every box of what I think is attractive" like Gadreel was, but in a roguish, rough and tumble way.  She figured what Petra saw in the guy.

She answered, "Yeah, she does, but I don't think that's it.  And how did you know I was a vampire?"

If this guy is some wannabe Van Helsing I'm gonna just start screaming, Forest thought as she slid a stacked bundle of bills into one of the pockets of her cargo pants.

Liam

"Well, ya don't have much of a heartbeat. Or any of one, really." He shrugged and put his back up against his shoulder. Here's where Liam decided to take a risk. "It's easier to find your own kind when they don't give off those 'look at me, I'm delicious' cues."

Forest

"So, not a Van Helsing then," Forest said with a thankful sigh, her shoulders sagging in relief.  She tilted her head as she realized what she wasn't hearing at the moment.  "Neat trick by the way."  She didn't know what to say about his little admission.

"Normally, other vampires aren't too keen to find me," she said, eyeing him as she stuffed the last of the cash in her pockets.
