Sakura Matou

Sakura shrugged. "Notsomuch any more. The Vampires and their ilk have learned better than try to interfere with my stuff. It used to be alot more work. Nowadays we only get fools and newcomers causing any trouble." Sakura spoke as if it wasn't really a big deal to her.

Sakura paused. "Anyway, what's your income like, on average. I don't want to be scalping you, after all. I'd like to charge you something you can reasonably pay."

Ron

"Vampires, huh?" Well, he supposed it wouldn't be appropriate to bring Medaka and Shinobu around then. Not that it would have been without that consideration since he doubted Anne would be all for it. Unless she would be? That was a conversation he wasn't looking forward to.

As for money, it depended on how many gang members he was rolling for wallets and what kind of repair jobs he had going on. "Well if we take it month by month, an average one lately's been a couple thousand a month. But living in a good space I'll probably have a little less; not as much vandalism to fix up, you know?"

Sakura Matou

"I see, I see..." Sakura said to him, nodding to him. "And what do you pay for rent now?" Sakura asked him. "Do you consider it too much?"

"Well, what I paid before Anne moved in was fine. About half a thousand a month for a studio over a bakery in an okay neighborhood in this city is pretty good." He had to concede that much. "But after? Landlady started expecting double despite the room not getting any bigger. I don't know if that's normal, but given my girlfriend was from out of the city... it was a hard first couple of months. You know, before she found some steady work too."

Sakura Matou

Sakura shook her head at him. "No, that's not normal at all. Your landlady is a scummy woman taking advantage of you. Charging per person is ridiculous. But don't worry! I won't do anything like that, never ever!" Sakura proclaimed. She was proud of being a decent person to her tenants. Suddenly, the car stopped, signaling it was time to get out.

"Well, we're at the apartment, so shall we go check it out?" Sakura asked him, already opening her door.

Lorenzo Remei

Lorenzo was frozen and just stared at the blue haired girl in disbelief. For a while, it was almost like the whole world had stopped spinning, and if he had a heart it would've probably shattered out of his chest by now. Odd, he didn't think a dead skeleton could feel like this, but there was no mistaking the burning in his chest. If he could, he might've cried, or ran, or outright fainted. But he couldn't do any of that, in fact he couldn't do anything at all.

Did a rotting corpse like him really deserve such happiness to begin with?

Shit, he was supposed to be a badass of the seven seas! It wasn't fair, he felt like they might see him cry any second now. But even if he didn't have any, he couldn't believe his eyes. Right now, he just wanted to run up to her and hug his old friend.

"Hey, uh, It's been a long time! You've grown a bit taller." He said cheerfully, walking up to his old friend with a warm smile and an even warmer hand.

"So, how have you been? Have ye been eating well? I see you've made a ladyfriend over there, hehe! Jeez good ol' Medaka, always working hard, just relax a little. It's like you're staring at a ghost or something, bwahahaha!"

Forest of the Past

The tall blonde frowned at what she was sensing on the third floor.  She should have been able to read most of the minds of this building, even passively, but that third floor was blocking her.  With me getting just surface thoughts, I think whatever is up there is blocking me.

"I don't generally shoot humans, I prefer my fists and feet with some Joe Normal," Forest said before looking at him.  "I have a student who really loves taking out kneecaps back home.  He's kind of a sociopathic wanker though."

Then she pointed above her head and said, "So, I'm pretty sure the Big Bad is on the third floor and blocking me.   I should be able to pretty much read everyone's thoughts in this building, but I'm only getting surface glimpses.  However, look for a bald handsome man with light facial hair.  From what I'm seeing, he's the one we gotta worry about here."

Rin

Rin smiled at Joe and said, "You know, I'm one of those residents from another world that was pulled here.  This isn't my world of origin and things are vastly different.  Apparently, I'm more fortunate than most of the people transported here."

Meti

"Huh? Well okay." Seemed pretty weird but first... One of her blades slid out and her other body's head rolled away in a neat movement. Meti was fascinated for a moment. Watching what it would be like to have her own head cut off in such a neat and polite fashion.

Then she got a move on. But not before giving Michael a look as if asking him if he was coming.

Erica

The blue haired girl smiled as she received the food. All of her senses told her that this was incredibly unappetizing and most certainly toxic in some fashion, but it was Noel's cooking so it was wonderful. She took a deep whiff of it, luxuriating in the smell, and then she began to eat.

Everything went down terribly. The sludge was awful and clung to her throat when she swallowed while the slices were either too hard or too soft. That didn't stop her from eating the obviously delicious food at a slow pace, savoring every bit of it.

Erica finished the entire thing. The bowl was completely, utterly spotless. Then she smiled up at the blonde. "That was delicious. Thank you for the meal, Noel."

Joe

Joe slammed his hands on the table, his eyes wide as he stood up from his seat.  "Wait!  So the forums were right?!"

Im going to have to bookmark that when I get home....

He sat back down, staring at her or a moment as he took another sip of his tea.  "Man, now I have so many questions," he said with a sigh.  "But you know, its alright.  As much as I want to know, I have a feeling it would take an eternity to explain."

Shinobu

The blonde watched with rapt attention as the skeleton walked past her to say hello to Medaka. Apparently Medaka had thought him to be dead, did that mean he got caught in something that looked liked it killed him and they got seperated or did he actually die? Perhaps he used to be human and was brought back as a skeleton through some ritual.

She had been completely ignored it however and that bothered her. Seeing as his entire attention was focused on Medaka, she took the opportunity to approach him from behind calmly until she was close enough and then she lept at him, catching him in a playfull hold.

"Now, now. Do not try to spook poor Medaka so much. You are almost a ghost, sir pirate. And for that matter, seeing as I so graciously bestowed you with that bottle it is only natural that I am compensated, would you not agree?"

Medaka

"Yeah...." She said, her eyes wide as she gazed on the man before him.  There were so many questions.  How did he survive?  Why is he in this new form?  (After all, she didn't know if she saw all of his abilities.)

Medaka's rapid fire pondering was interupted by Shinobu grabbing him from behind, demanding attention.  It was in that moment, she realized that one question pervaded over the others, one question that drove her to the edge with anxiety.

A thought flashed through her mind.  She finally, truely understood why Shinobu yelled at her earlier, the anguish of worrying about some fool who wishes to die.  Well, she already knew, but she now felt a rush, a waterfall of guilt pouring into her, all released in a single tear.  That tear flowed from her eyes, down her cheek and feel to the ground, splattering to bits as it struck the floor.

She bent over, putting her eyes at his level.  She gave him in intense, frown. "Why didn't you come find me?!" She said, her voice low but peircing, as if she were trying to slice through his sense of guilt.  It took all she had to not shatter his eardrums with her pain.

Like an overflowing dam, Medaka barely held back the tears, looking him staring him down with her raw emotion.

She got pulled up by Gadreel, his grip was surprisingly firm. Well he did toss the bench earlier so he was actually pretty strong after all, maybe she worried over nothing. Betterto be safe than sorry though.

She cut apart a few stray dogoos that remained while watching Gadreel deal with the giant one. He was doing a pretty decent job, circling around it and gradually cutting it apart, it was rather strange how the wounds he left weren't closing at all. Maybe his sword was magical, it looked pretty amazing from where she was standing.

"Dogoos are actually the most common type monster back in my world. There's even a version of them that has tentacles....yes tentacles, you heard right Gaddy~"

Altough it looked like he doing a decent job on his own she couldn't let him do all fighting, besides she should be the one protecting him anyways. Now that the dogoo was focused on him she could go on the attack. The moment she finished speaking the purple haired goddess dashed forward towards the giant dogoo and jumped, barely manging to land on top of it.

"Whoaaaah"

Struggling to stand up she tried to hack it's body while swaying around from all it's thrashing.

Shirou

Shirou smiled at the excited squeal his new pet emitted in response to his statement, happy that he seemed to approve of Shirou's idea. Continuing to stroke him lovingly, Shirou addressed the girl once more.

"So, how does he fight?" Shirou asked, uncertain how Pokemon worked. "Would we just ask him to attack something, or does he need more instructions?"

Lorenzo Remei

The pirate yelped in surprise, but even if he wanted to there was no way he could escape from the blonde girl's grip. "H-hey! Later, just not now!" He uttered awkwardly, perhaps for the first time in a long time actually feeling embarrassment.  All he could do was look at his friend's teary face and think to himself that he had finally done it. He felt awful, and seeing her like this only hurt him even more. To think he'd have made a girl, his comrade cry like this; how could he even call himself a man?

No. No more. He wouldn't cry or run away anymore, especially not from her. If her feelings were true, if this was all real, then she deserved an explanation more than anyone. For a moment, he just couldn't even look at her, instead he glanced at his feet and chuckled. This was too much, even a crook like himself couldn't laugh at something like this.

"You know, it's actually funny. I thought you were dead. That and, well, I was busy crawling out of the grave meself."

Suddenly, there was a burst of fire, bright and blinding. In the distraction, and thanks to the sudden burst of pressure, the pirate managed to slip out of his clothes in the blink of an eye like a bar of soap someone gripped too hard. It didn't take much thinking for him to act in this situation. No, it was because it was this situation to begin with, he couldn't think about anything at all.

His body just moved on his own, and faster than he could even realize it, he had ran right up to his old friend and hugged her with all his strength, not even uttering a single word.

"It must've been hard for you. I'm sorry." The words finally escaped his burning throat, and so Lorenzo finally felt relieved.

Shinobu

A flash of fire obscured her vision and the man shot out of her grip like a piece of slippery soap. As it happened she moved her hands as quickly as possible, swiping them through the air and grabbing hold of her prize. The blonde vampire put it on her own head and clapped her hands at his wonderful escape. "that was beautifully done if I may say so sir pirate."

Resting on top of her head golden hair was a nothing less than a pirate hat.

Medaka Kurokami

She wanted to hit him, give him a percentage of the grief she felt, even if it was small.  But the moment she embraced him, the tears erupted, her body went limp as she rested her head on his shoulder.  Then, she cried.

And cried

And cried.

For a few minuites, she wailed like a child.  It didn't feel real.  It couldn't be real.  The man known as Lorenzo had come back to her safe and sound.  After a while, she settled down, rubbing off the dry tears from her face.

Medaka broke free from the hug, looking both at the hat that was swiped and the hats that remained on his head.  She brushed her hands through his coat, lightly brushing against his strangely warm ribcage.

"Give back the hat Shinobu!" the young vampire said with a giggle.  She could hardly contain herself, poking his coat.  One could not explain the high that she got just from touching him, it was like a dream, a fantasy that she never thought could be real.  Of course, there was one question she had, especially after poking him over and over again.

"Why are you a skeleton?" she said with the tilt of her head.

That was the most money he'd spent on clothes in a while, it was for a good cause though as he couldn't have one of his perosnal servants be caught wearing rags like some commoner. A lesser man would have probably felt some kind of embarassement or shame at the idea of spending so much money on what accounted for a maid outfit, but he was above such nonsense. Now to find her....

Well that went easier than expected. While musing about the overly expensive outfit he'd somehow manage to stumble upon her, resting on another girl's lap. The girl looked somewhat familiar...ah yes he had encountered her earlier today when he was scouting the local bars.

"To think this is what you've been doing my dear Lucy. And I even went to the effort to acquire the uniform for you. "Mind explaining what this is supposed to be?" The dark mage moved closer to them with an unnatural calm.
