RED
Red gritted her teeth, about to launch her branches into one final attack to impale her enemy, but suddenly she felt something throb in her head again, this time hotter and more painful, like a red hot metal pole about to pop out of her skull. Why? She was so close, just when she was just about to...
The poor girl wheezed and whimpered, her skin lost its blood red tint, as if all the girl's color was slowly fading away. For some reason, she wasn't smiling anymore. Was she upset, or was she hurting? She didn't know, thinking was so complicated, it made her whole brain hurt. It was much better not to think and be used as others wished, as long as she didn't say or think anything there would be no pain.
But she did think something. She thought inside of her friend's mouth was warm, if possible she'd have liked to stay there just a bit longer. She mumbled something and closed her eyes, going into a peaceful sleep.
Good night Red.
Malcolm
That man's word flipped a switch, as if he had just struck a nerve. His vein nearly popped from his temple, and just when he was about to leave, he stopped his pace and put his foot firmly down the ground before turning around.
"Hmph! I wasn't scared at all. I just hate being grabbed like some kid. Stupid woman..."
He grit his teeth and focused back on the man. For some reason that dumb face of his really pissed him off, like he thought he was so high and mighty. Well, he may be right. He let out an annoyed tch and glared at the magician, ready to shoot or flee if he really got serious. He had no chance, but he wasn't going to give that mage the satisfaction.
"What do you want?"
