"No." she said, glancing at Ito for a moment before returning to the girl.  "I am just..." She slowly lowered her hand, revealing her fangs.  "Hungry.."

She doubted either of them were comfortable enough to let her feed on them.  At the very least, he expected the girl to react in some semblance of fear.  In this area, vampires have a very bad name.

That explained a lot, in hindsight. Vampirism was one of ways that would let someone mend their body that way. The Unchained did jump on the general anti-vampire bandwagon when setting up her own businesses, but that wasn't something she cared about, just a way how to mesh better with the public. She didn't use this Cover anymore for more public activities, there were only three people around including her and she was incognito here as well. She had more freedom on how she could act without 'being out of character'. Still, she had to paint herself as someone inconspicious and mundane.

"V-vampire? No, no, no, I must be seeing things. Maybe that fast stitching wasn't real too!" She "laughed" nervously, feigning shock and disbelief acting as if it was just a bad acid trip. That was the plan, if the vampire attacked her, the last thing she would expect was this muggle retaliating in any meaningful way.

Ito Kizumi

The assassin raised an eyebrow and frowned. It was his experience as an assassin that made him naturally wary and suspicious of things, but even his instinct wouldn't be able to see  past the demon's cover. That did not mean his suspicion waned, it would be absurd to imply otherwise.

A trustful assassin made for a dead one, the years taught him that much.

Still, he didn't show it, and he just listened over their conversation. Finally, he smiled and nodded. "You're right. It's really just a circus trick, there's nothing special about it. With a bit of training, anyone could do it." He answered flatly. "Are you new here?"

Medaka

For a brief moment, Medaka's eyes widened.  He was trying to cover for her.  Either way, she was curious about this girl as well.  "Yes, what is your name?"

Julius

From Julius' perspective he knew that letting this smoke any near him would be just courting trouble. He could no longer withdraw fast enough, so he was desperate enough to tear quickly part of his clothes to form a makeshift mask around his nose and mouth. No way he would just stand there to inhale the foul miasma.

Mitsuba

Yeah, just a circus trick, she wouldn't buy it. On another hand, the vampire restrained her hunger and didn't make any moves towards her.

"Uhh, isn't this the part were you would leap at me? I'm not having a nightmare, right?" The girl tilted her head in "confusion". She seemed like it took her time to realize she wasn't "dreaming" after all. "Right, this is real, right? Not my imagination? Dang it, you're pretty restrained for a someone out of horror movie."

Mitsuba thought that she could introduce herself, but again, she could just tell them another name. Cutting one character away would be simple enough. "Uhh, I'm Mitsu. To be honest, I'm lost. This place looks pretty weird..."

Lucy

She checked out the box a bit before nodding. "Yep! I love timesinks. This sounds like a perfect one. Just give people some basic tools and something different for the aesthetic and they'll basically save you the trouble of making something interesting yourself!"

"So is that good, or should we get more?"

Noire

"Well, probably for tonight, yeah. I doubt we'll play more games than this. Doesn't look like they have any of the best games either, so this'll do."

"Let's go pay for it then." Noire said, taking hold of Lucy's hand and walking towards the register.

Ito

"I see. So you've awakened here as well..." He pondered for a second. "You can believe whatever you wish, but I'd advise you do not invite trouble to yourself. If a lone girl like you isn't careful, she could very well die in less than a day."

He bowed respectfully to the girl, all in all he seemed like the silent type who does not spare many words.

"Call me Ito. You are in the Nexus now, it would be wise to grow accustomed to your surroundings and question them as you do now. Do you have a shelter for the night?"

Medaka suddenly rushed over to the girl, grasping her hands inside her own.  "You can stay at my place if you want!" she said with glee.

Oka and the Regice


After Anastasia left, the battle continued on for a long while, with neither side able to truly gain the upper hand. Wormy’s fire held strong, melting the ice attacks, while her other pokemon protected him from damage and Oka healed the lot of them. Mimikyu continued to whittle down the pokemon’s health, until she felt it was low enough to try her plan.

“Paladin, now!” Oka yelled as she threw her pokeball. “Hit him as hard as you can!”

Adjutor

Adjutor looked over the recommended burger and, finding very little that made sense to her aside from there being some sort of cheese and beef involved, nodded and went along with it. While they waited for the waiter to come back around to take their order, the monster hunter caught a glimpse of a rather nervous looking bartender looking back at them, though he looked away almost immediately. Adjutor frowned for a moment, leaning back and resting a hand on the pommel of one of her swords while the other held the menu, then reaching into her pocket to check her wallet.

Well, it never hurt to be cautious, and she was feeling pretty hungry anyway.

Thinking it over, the monster hunter drained her glass of water while they waited for the man to come back around, deciding that she'd be ordering two of the aforementioned mushroom swiss burgers and a refill on her water when he came back around.

Mitsu

Crapbaskets, what she just got herself into. And she didn't yet learn how to put her other Cover on autopilot and switch back yet. But maybe Muramasa wouldn't care much tonight, she did disappear on her too. It was time for Mitsuba's petty revenge.

"You surely are so enthusiastic about that. Ah, what I have to lose. If you wanted to eat me, then you'd already do it..." At worst, she would just shift into her true form and blow up the apartment to cover tracks if the vampire actually hid her true intentions. She did have experience at blowing up buildings. Like that cafe.

Ito

The assassin nodded. "I will accompany you. It's the least I could do, and we can deal with threats more efficiently as a group than alone." He said simply, not carrying much emotion in his voice but giving Medaka a small smile.

"Would that suit you?"

Medaka

Medaka's smile stretched even farther as Mitsu excepted the offer.  "Oh thats great!  I can't wait to move you in," she said excitedly, turning to Ito.  "And sure.  We can even have a sleepover if you want."

She immediately began strutting towards her home, dragging Mitsu along by the hand.

Mitsu

"Huh, you're so high energy for someone who was starving..." Mitsu commented as she was forcefully dragged along. Surely she had a lot of 'energy'. Didn't vampires flip out eventually if they didn't had their fill? "Dunno, you could have a drink, as long as Ito makes sure you don't get any weird ideas."
