Swims-With-Salmons

This ritual brought forth a lot of magical energy, but honestly? She might have been pretty desensitivized  by now or simply able to keep her cool in face of such displays of magic. And though it would take more time for her to prepare (certainly more than a day, probably months), she could probably summon even the Great Ancestor Fenris from the depths of Umbra. If she didn't care about losing an arm. She have seen that happen once, as a bystander, but that was a story for another day.

"Impressive." Ellie whistled, clapping her hands. From the point of view of Lorenzo she probably seemed to be amazed by the result. But then of course she had to hurl a torrent of objections and complaints.

"Hmm, but are you sure it will endure? Even if you can resummon it, it doesn't matter. Some spiritually enriched missiles could shoot us down. Or malicious spirit parasites eating magic wood could weaken the structure. And then we plunge down." And so on, and so on. Facing a feat of magic that she couldn't match yet in such short period of time, she felt an urge to assert dominance in some other manner.

"I know, maybe land on the ocean! It should be able to sail. Or the ocean will extinguish the flame of your grand sorcery?" Would he chicken out or not?

To Irene, going from intelligent animals with psychic powers to a talking one wasn't such a big leap, but come to think of it, the vision did constitute a rather queer phenomena. Absent of context, she would have assumed he was looking for this specific dog for reasons related to that very human-like capability, but her reluctant companion's expression betrayed his surprise.

"Just a brisk evening walk," she answered the supernatural canine. "It's rather fresh down here at this time, though it is unfortunate how filthy the path is. It could use some clean-up."

The vampire's red gaze slid over both it and her company with tranquil but rigid regard. "In turn, I must wonder, what brought a talking wolf and a nun together to these dim passages? You may call me Irene, by the way."

Ohhh, he was so pretty! And he seemed rather smart too "It's really nice to meet you, Wormy! Does he molt or anything? His color scheme is lovely. Could really be perfect for an accessory or something like that. It would go great in your hair!"

Really, the supernatural aspect of the critters was only one aspect! There were a lot of things you could appeal to by selling it with the 'made from animals' line of marketing.

Alicia

She blinked. "Is that so?" Then Alicia looked down at the dog. "Costin, I am no stranger to lies, but do we look so dangerous that something that blatant is needed? I think you might be a little too intimidating for them right now."

Still, she addressed them. "But to answer your question and to put it simply: we're here to help those who live down here."

"Ehhh? No way!" She called Alice back to answer to her question, only to puff proudly when she mentioned her noble quest, as if she had any part in it. "I don't think it's that strange myself! Why, who wouldn't walk around these parts whenever they had the chance? The air is simply refreshing!" Despite being something that should be said with sarcasm, she sounded completely and utterly genuine and even smiled as brightly as she could.

"C'mon, don't lie.You were having a birthday party weren't you, you sly dogs. I won't tattle if you share the cake." She gave the man a playful nudge before rolling back towards Alice. The ninja was very confused by this. "Huh?" Was all he could manage to muster with a frown, which the dog found quite honestly hysterical. Oh, this would be fun.

"Wuh. Didn't hear me or something?"

Rikuyo

The redhead wanted to seize the initiative and pressure Raikou so that he couldn't utilize his swordsmanship efficiently. She planned to try and kick at what seemed to be a blunt side of his sword. She propelled herself forward by focusing her energy into her legs, making a powerful jump and then dropping at the hybrid from above. Even if she miscalculated and got hurt, her strength combined with the momentum could really damage him more than he could injure her if the attack connected.

Raikou

A missile-like dive with the aim of disarming him and crashing into his torso with massive blunt damage was a risky but dangerous assault. One that might have worked if he needed to rely on a weapon to do his best, and if it wasn't so lethally telegraphed. Even with the nerves of his arms still uncertain, she shouldn't have given him such a wide room of action.

His sword didn't rise to meet her; Raikou swerved with his torso, letting her graze his head and shoulder, and his free arm jumped after as she passed, latching on to one of her wrists. A smirk rose to his lips as his feet pressed down the asphalt and he pulled the shapeshifter back with all of his strength.

Raikou slammed her to the ground, making a spiderweb of cracks erupted below her, and thrust his blade down in a reverse grip with the aim of running her through.

She could merely sigh magnanimously at the doubt the other woman expressed. Why, when someone told such a transparent lie, the polite thing to do was to overlook it, not that it was such a thing to be doubtful of if it were true, she had known people with weirder hobbies! The way the dog had eagerly ran with it took her slightly aback, though not nearly as much as the swift warrior besides her, from the looks of it.

"I'm afraid the cake was eaten and the guests have vacated the premises already," she said, before flicking her finger at the man's shoulder and directing at him a glamorous stare. "You should introduce yourself."

It was better to get the formalities out of the way before they tore into their suspicions like a surgeon's knife at a pus-bloated wound.

Ito and Costin

"H-hey!" The ninja glared and looked angry, but it was the sort of anger pointed at himself and the situation at hand. It was pretty clear he was completely out of his comfort zone. But despite that, he mastered himself and walked up to the  blue haired woman and held out his hand.

"Name's Ito. It's nice to meet you." He told her, and while he sounded rough around the edges it didn't make every single word of his any less true.

Only for a playful paw to slam on his butt, causing him to flinch with wide eyes and clenched teeth. "Mwahahahahaha! See!? It wasn't that hard pal."

She bowed her head a bit and said, "My name is Alicia. It is a pleasure to meet you both." Being polite was still a virtue after all! Even if they were strangers it couldn't hurt to act friendly towards most of the people they meet.

Sakura

To Sakura's surprise and shock, the girl responded to the man by pushing him hard into the ground, leaving a small crater where his head impacted. Momentarily worried that she might have casually killed the man, Sakura considered backing-off and calling for help, but, to her relief, the man spoke, clearly hurt by the fall but seemingly undamaged.

Once more, Sakura did her best to hide her emotions, only perhaps a slight hint of surprise and shock showing through. However, she could see that she needed to be very careful around this girl. If Sakura upset her like this man had, she could easily get killed by the reaction, perhaps without the girl even intending it.

"You could make an exception and have your messanger exact punishment on yourself to spare me the time and trouble." Lucy's chipper tone was not a welcome notion at this point in time.

"Then enlighten me Vanguard." He pasued and made a dramatic gesture before continuing with his speech. "What was your angle with that broadcast? It's... nature eludes even one such as I, loathe as I am to admit that."

Ellie sure was in some strong denial with all those excuses she was making. The ship was magnificent, a majestic testament to the pirate's skill and ambition. However it wasn't that that had caught her eye in this instance. They were now airborn, high in the sky. This naturally had the conseqence of awarding a great view over the cityscape.

And it was precisely due to this that something caught the purplehaired CPU's attention. She wasn't paying attention to the antics of the other two people on board anymore, so consumed was she by this new discovery.

Then she leapt overboard and plunged down towards the city.

Oka Kurosawa

"Uh-uh, he doesn't molt his fur. It stays lucious and beautiful forever!" Oka said, rubbing her face affectionately against him. "The only thing he sheds is his wing scales and that's to attack with. They're blazingly hot and you can't make anything but fires with them."

She looked at Rebecca. "Come on, feel him. He's warm and fluffy!"

Good grief. He honestly didn't have it in him to resist, but to think she'd resort so quickly to violence. If this had been his old body, he'd probably be dead by now. Oh just how was he supposed to deal with someone like her...

"Ow ow ow... that hurt." He groaned, his face more like a hurt puppy despite being completely unscathed. "Fine, fine. You win. You're just too strong for me, I have no chance against you." He told her truthfully, though he seemed oddly content about it.

"How much delicious food will it take for you to forgive this punk?"

Damn, it was a shame. He liked the weight of his pockets, but even that wasn't going to last.

Rosa

"Oh of course you're feeding her too, you shitter. Why wouldn't you?" Rosa asked with a sadistic smile, lifting him up off the ground. "And of course we're going to go to a fancy place, right, Purple?" Rosa asked Sakura with a happy smile. "He needs to make amends properly. After that we can go ribbon shopping."

Oh, geez. Master was so peeved! It was kinda funny but at the same time she didn't particularly want another punishment. They could be fun but some variety was good too! So the Messengers all shaped up, slipping back into their mistress as she stood straight. "Of course, master. As you will."

Rebecca

"Okay, okay, I guess I'm still a little wet too so this should help..." So she walked up and put her still slightly pruned fingers against the bug pokemon.

There was some amusement to be taken from Ito's - so that was his name - reaction to the overly familiar wolf, but the situation was one that asked more than a couple of questions despite the near-politeness of their introductions. The vampire turned her head to face Alicia straightforwardly and parted her lips to speak.

"If you are here on missionary work, then you are planning to visit the settlements, yes? I see you already have your friend here, but I am interested in learning the area, so would you care for an extra escort?"

Her eyes pointed at Ito as she continued, "Perhaps two?"
