Forest
Thank the Lord and Lady I got him off the subject of telepathy, Forest thought.
However, she didn't get to sigh in relief because Marcus swept his mouth against hers. So she threw her arms around him, returning the kiss.
Rin
"It is unnerving, even to me sometimes," Rin said with a shrug and a slight grin.
Then she sighed and said, "My world isn't an easy one to keep up with, Joe."
Roderick
As Roderick worked, his vision went dark, soft hands cover his eyes as even softer parts pressed against his back. He briefly wondered if Brutae could feel the small spikes on his spine and the scales under his shirt. He wondered if it would fascinate her and repulse her.
Secretly, he always thought his scales and spines were sort of beautiful. They reminded him of molten gold, metallic and gleaming. Apparently, he'd even be able to manifest wings to fly with as his powers grew more advanced. Would be more fun and probably faster than just casting Flight on myself, he thought before grinning.
"Himmm, considering you're speaking to me as a person instead of a stuck up brat who needs a good talking to, I'd say Brutae," Roderick said as he grinned.
He canted his head and asked, "How are you fairing? I know your . . . Mistress cut off your supply before you taught her a much needed lesson."
