Marcus
Light flooded into Marcus's eyes as his eyelids lifted. He could see Forest talking to the girl that slashed him. Really? They are just talking? He instinctively reached for his neck, only to notice that the injury was healed. Even so, he rubbed the spot, feeling the smoothness of injury free skin as he overheard their conversation. He swore he heard them talking about food or something, but he had no idea what that had to do with him.
He raised an eyebrow at Forest and said, "What the hell? Why do you two look like friends? She just slit my throat!" Then, he glared at the crazy girl. I am not counting that as a loss, not until I fight her again.
Joe
As they walked into the theater, Joe couldn't help but let out a deep exhale, expelling all his nervousness in one breath. This was just a normal date again, with everything under his control. Rin won't doubt me here! This is where I can shine! he thought.
Giddy at this new change in battlefront, he simply nodded at all the scary new information on Sakura. "Yeah, I don't watch too many kung-fu movies, so this will be interesting," he said with a strange new confidence in his voice. "But, you know I figure I will have a newfound appreciation for them after we train. You said you would teach me how to defend myself right?"
