The pope nodded, a smile of satisfaction creeping onto his face. "It seems I have gotten lucky this time around," he said, grabbing hold of the Paladin's hand. His grip was firm and strong. "I have stumbled on a dedicated mage and a noble warrior."
He glanced at the young mage and said, "It appears you have questions for me. I am more than willing to answer any."

"I think it takes balls to leave behind a way of life, even harder to try to change a system that created it," she said, smiling as she caught him checking out her cigarette. He either wanted a smoke himself or he was checking her out. "But at least you're trying."
Then, she sighed and said, "As for me, I am just your typical lowly thug. If you're asking for a name, its Hazel. Are you going to give me a name or are you going to try to stick to the tall, mysterious handsome man thing you've got going on. Actually, what are you doing in an abandoned part of the city? And don't you dare say taking a walk."
