Quote from: Frost
And you're a fucking mutt who's going to be put down.

Kyle wasn't in the mood to argue with a piece of shit like Deacon Frost.

"Really? Wouldn't that be beneath someone of your caliber?"

More concerned about Ash, he turned to her. She was right about the psychic though, Forest would most likely rush to help her pupil if she knew her to be in danger. He didn't even bother hiding his disappointment when he spoke.

"Getting yourself killed isn't all that much preferable as far as I'm concerned but, fine. I'll deliver your girl to her place. What do you expect me to tell Forest? Because she will ask questions. I don't mind hiding things but, I would rather not have to lie to her." He wasn't so sure about the Iron Maiden going damage control though. "Keep me in touch on this. I'll come and back you up if need be."

Quote from: Ash
Bloody ducky, love.  We have a bit of a problem here.

Kyle crouched, sniffling the blood puddle at his feet. "It appears so."

Quote from: Frost
No, we have a fucking revolution right there.

Kyle gave him a severe glance. "Nobody asked you, dickwad. Wouldn't have happened if you didn't start shit to begin with."

Quote from: Ash
Take her to Forest, get her safe.  I'll follow those three.  The fellow in red likes me you know.

The request was simple and logic but, he couldn't accept that. Thanks to a mixture of a pinch of worry, his sky-high testosterone level and anger felt at what happened here, Kyle hit the counter in a fit of rage, ruining it and giving the Barmaid a jump scare.

"Of all the fucking plans, Ash... Don't you think you're pushing it? You could have ended up as part of this mess too. And now, you want to trail the sodding bastards by yourself?"

It's not that he didn't trust her to be prudent but going after these guys was plain suicide. And he wouldn't let her do something stupid like that. Not without him anyway.

"One of these psychopaths took a liking in you? Ain't no freaking guarantee he won't change his mind."

He walked back and forth, growling like an animal. Kyle knew deep down that she probably wouldn't listen. And Ellen was caught in the middle of this on her first night. He knew that Ash trusted him in protecting the girl 'till Forest could take care of her but, did she really have to go alone?

Forcing himself to relax, he looked in these gray eyes of hers. "Listen, let's all go back to Fore's place. There, we can organize a hunting party and set up a plan to deal with them."

"Please, be reasonable," he added mentally.

Who was he kidding, like she would even listen to him.

And so, vampire and werewolf went back. Kyle didn't pay attention to the trio of men walking past him and Ellen as they entered the establishment once more. He instantly detected something wrong in the air and rushed in the bar. The violence and cruelty displayed here was barbaric, even going by Nexus standards. It was a fucking disappointment to notice that Deacon Frost was among the survivors of what had killed so many people at once.

"Charming," he growled, while checking the room in detail. "Ash, you okay?"

Quote from: Ellen
Well, I don't need to do my job during daylight, so being nocturnal does not bother me. Neither this blood drinking stuff once I get hang of how to do it on my own

"That's a good attitude to adopt, yeah. All that's left is to decide what to do with your nonlife."

Quote
You are not in hurry of getting disposed yourself

He laughed.

"Think of me as a psychotic, self-indulgent asshole if you want. Most people would probably agree with such description. With two/three variants, I guess."

The girl seemed like a good person if a bit cheeky. At this point, she was still a mere acquaintance so, he refrained from unfolding his life to her. His eyes fell on the bar and he grinned.

"Oh well, time's running and it appears your sire didn't feel like going on a rampage. Wanna check on her?"

Quote from: Ellen
Uh, Kyle, how to put this. I was stabbed by somebody and all I know that Ash saved me. By turning me into a vampire. I'm kind of glad I'm still 'alive', but I think I'll have trouble adjusting. I didn't know people like you or her existed, it was just fantasy to me

Kyle nodded pensively. Hard to tell if Ash did the right choice here. Some would consider it compassionate. Others would argue that it was indeed cruel to condemn her to an eternal life.

"It should get better soon," he said with encouragement. "It's all new but eventually, everyone adapts to changes in their life. Being supernatural is the same. It comes with some neat advantages and drawbacks that suck. Some get more pros than cons though."

Quote
You earn for a living killing supernaturals? But you are a supernatural yourself, what's your reason for doing that?

"Hm, there's no deep meaning involved. Just that some people have to stand for those who can't defend themselves. Your average human doesn't have the means to deal with supernaturals. So, it falls upon some of the supernaturals to keep them in line. Well, that's roughly what we try to do, me and few others. You will meet them too if you tag along with Ash for a bit. Of course, there are some species that are too violent to be left alone, like werewolves. Those are to be disposed off as soon as possible."

He gave her a grin.

"That's the reason most of them fled to the no man's land. "

Quote from: Ellen
Erm, gender matters because I'm straight and it's less awkward for me if I feed on men, I guess. But I had honestly no idea that my bite works like that...

"It's alright. I won't pretend I expected Ash to give you a thorough explanation." He checked his watch in order to avoid looking at her. "But since she decided to beat on some scumbags, it's probably wise to wait a bit before going back in. So, let's a have a little chat." He paused, throwing a glance at the building. "How are you feeling? I don't know the reason as to why she turned you but, if you wanna share a bit of it, I can listen. My own experience wasn't really pleasant so I see no reason why yours should be necessarily better."

He realized that he hadn't even introduced himself to her. Best time as any.

"Oh and full name's Kyle Teems. I... kill supernatural stuff for a living."

37
Hey, I might be a vampire now, but I'm not a leech

"Relax, it's just shorter than blood sucker."

Quote
But forget your manners, you are right. I didn't have a drink and you are a guy, so that won't be too awkward, I think.

"Well, I'm not too sure about why gender would be an isssooowwww!!!"

Interrupted by the young vampire's bite, Kyle closed his eyes. One issue, or advantage would probably say the blood suckers, about draining someone were the euphoria and arousal it placed on the victim. Regardless of sexual orientation, one couldn't be drained without experiencing it. And it applied to Kyle too. Not that he hadn't been aware of it beforehand, his interactions with vampires were too numerous to account. In fact, it had been part of his plan. Offer his blood to the fledgling so that he can have his way with the sire as compensation. As his mind was filled with lust, he sensed his body become hotter and eventually his arousal peaking literally in his boxer. For some reason, even has she took more of his essence, his body had enough left to keep him hard. The girl didn't seem ready to let go of him yet.

"...Not that bad, I take it."

38
She followed Kyle. He seemed to be familiar to her sire, so she was somewhat trusting if somewhat wary. "Hey, you seem to know her. You are not a human either right?"

Kyle gave her a glance as they walked out. "I'm one of the cursed, a werewolf. Usually my species doesn't meddle much with leeches but, circumstances being what they are, I kind of get along with the Iron Maiden. Don't think she actually likes me much but, you could say we trust each other, I guess."

He invited d for her to come closer and offered his neck.

"You won't have to hold back this time. Taste might be less appetizing than supreme human vintage but it should be nutritious regardless. You can take more to compensate for it if you want. You should hurry up though, we might have a need to run soon." He looked around. "It's no good gathering too much attention around these parts. Even more so when you're weakened."

39
Well, of course she would snap.

Kyle sighed with a nod. He had seen this coming from from the beginning. He patted Ellen on the back.

"Come on girl, you don't want to be caught in this, trust me." He started to walk, encouraging the girl to go out with him. "I'll give your blood fix too".

Still, he was somewhat surprised to know that she was Ash's progeny. With a look in the barmaid's direction, Kyle pointed the guy in red with a thumb. "On me," he said, placing a bill on the counter before leaving the building. He didn't want these guys to become a problem.

41

Sitting at the counter, Kyle gestured to the Barmaid for a refill. Tonight he was wearing grey. Nothing outstanding nor too discreet. Pair of jeans, sleeveless t-shirt with a light shirt on top of it and sneakers. Thinking about it, perhaps it didn't fit well with these tattoo and piercings of his. The image was usually important, when he was working especially, but it was a day off.

The tomboyish owner of the establishment gave him a murderous glance before serving him another shot of pineapple vodka.

"You already know I don't want you in here, sick mutt. Why don't you down your glass and kindly fuck off?"

Ah yes, the usual racism between supernatural species. Even though most Vampires didn't give a flying fuck about Werewolves, some still perpetuated this old joke, to the point that it only rang like a tradition to his ears.  The likes of Law Unto Herself had to deal with his kind often but, this bartender wasn't any close to that. Or perhaps she did, hell knows how much savage lycans roamed around. Still, he found her quite ignorant on his species. Didn't she know he could behead her on a mere stimulation? Twerp probably didn't reach half his age. Her only achievement being to have open this bar for blood junkies and loathed leeches in the middle of a location barren from human rights. That was no proper way to deal with customers.

Kyle let his finger slide on the recipient half full of cheap liquor. With an upper glance he asked a question.

"Well, is it customary law to bite the hand that feeds you?"

She didn't seem impressed in the slightest.

"Says the mongrel that comes over my doorstep to pee on it and dare to ask for a pat after the deed."

"Oh am I now? Thought cash was cash. Ain't that a rule over here?"

"My place, my rules," she growled, growing impatient now.

"Ain't no rules in the sodding no man's land, miss." He chuckled. "That's the whole point. Besides, I don't see why you would let in some faeries addicts for free while I'm paying tabs charged with extra 'for not belonging', on top of being badmouthed."

The woman crossed her arms on her relatively flat chest. She was somewhat cute, though.

"These don't fucking hunt my kind for a prize." Kyle raised an eyebrow at that but she didn't seem to notice. "Yeah, I heard of you. You're the fetch dog of that blonde bitch. If people know that I allow you to come in my bar, have a drink with some nice chatting, what do you think will happen? I'm through with Hunters and I certainly don't you to cause me trouble. So, drink your damn alcohol and get the fuck out before I make you."

Kyle scratched his head with an annoyed look.

"You would be much more charming if you simply smiled to your client."

In response she gave him the mid finger before going to serve another person. The Werewolf sighed, about to take his leave when he recognized a familiar scent. He turned his head towards the entrance and wasn't surprised to find the Iron Maiden entering the den of debauchery. He noticed with amusement that she didn't let the males around indifferent. Couldn't blame them given Ashlynn's figure. Personality could be a problem, so threading carefully was usually wise, but that, not much people alive could confirm it.

He eyed the apparently shy girl following Ash's steps with curiosity. The smell she gave off was that of a vampire, nothing surprising, but it was clear as day that she had turned recently because he couldn't detect any hint of blood fragrance from her.

From his seat, he peered as they approached an obvious 'donor'. It was rather strange to see the Iron Maiden give guidance to a fledgling. Perhaps she was an acquaintance? Kyle observed in silence as the girl started to satiate her hunger. He intended to leave things at that when he spotted number douchebag with a mascara, Deacon Frost. The dude had horrible reputation and was feared by lots. Most Vampires adopted a low profile in his presence, for good reasons.

His eyes followed the man actions and when he saw him addressing to Ash, he got up. It was clear that shit was bound to happen sooner or later. The Iron Maiden wasn't known for taking shit from others. Being virtually immortal wouldn't change that fact. Smelling trouble, Kyle stepped forward, his glass in hand, he offered it to Ash, hoping she would play along. Last time, she had threatened to stab him in the nads with a billiard cue, so it did for awkward reunion circumstances but it didn't matter.

"Here's your drink." He faced the vampire leader and acted like a drunkard. "These charming ladies are with me. Fuck off, midget."

He could probably redirect the attention on him and cause a ruckus, allowing the girls to escape. Ash could take care of herself but the new blood would have a hard time. And the whole place would turn to chaos really fast if the other clients decided to join in. Frost and his goons could be kept busy for a while if it was drunkard beating. So, starting a fight would be a viable option as a distraction. As long as these fuckers wouldn't have weapons loaded with silver rounds. Hopefully they didn't.

Name: Kyle Teems
Race: Werewolf
Age: Around 400, looks ins his mid-twenties
Height: 6'
Weight: 170 lbs
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Black

Appearance: Kyle has an athletic but not too muscular body. His skin is on the light brown side of dark and he keeps his hair in intricate yet artistic cornrows, each ending up with a clip taking the shape of a snake head. On his left palm, a pentagram can be easily spotted, proof of his nature. Kyle doesn't like to look at it and covers his hands with leathery gloves. He has an intriguing presence and masculine yet rather harmonious traits. His eyes shine strangely in the dark. He sports a thin goatee and his left brow, upper right ear and tongue are each pierced with a set of three diamonds. His left eye is surrounded by a snake tattoo coiling around the left side of his face and ends around his left ear. Surrounding his neck hangs a crow pendent Forest gave him centuries ago.

Alignment: Chaotic Good
Scale: Servant
Strength: B (A+)
Agility: D (C)
Speed: D (C)
Endurance: C (B+)
Magic Resistance: -

Weaknesses: Silver, decapitation, brain destruction. Sustaining more damage than he can heal. Magic works fine. Ghosts freak him out.
Likes: Forest, Wynn's body, hitting on Ash, freedom, money, a good laugh, rough sex, carefree people, grapes and rum, teaming up with Gabriel to tease Forest.
Dislikes: Quinn R. Frost, Ash(Berserk mode), stuck up people, Werewolves, the No Man's Land.

Other Abilities:
Martial Arts: Kyle has learned how to defend himself with different styles over the centuries. While he's more prompt to shoot people because of his practical side, he has been more than once in situations where it came in handy. It also helps channeling his anger which leads to becoming a hulking not-too-happy beast.

Shapeshifting: Like other Werewolves, Kyle has the ability to change into a feral beast. Doing so enhance his abilities as a fighter but reduces thought capacity. Kyle has retained a certain control over it but will eventually snap if provoked in this form.

Regenerative ability: Part of the curse if that it makes you heal faster than mortals and most supernatural species. While quite handy, it still requires time to recover from the worse wounds.

Expert Tracker: Kyle is skilled when it comes to trailing someone. For this very reason, he's often hired to find people disappearing in the Nexus. His success rate is mild, which is pretty decent for a place like the Nexus.

Burglar: Kyle is an extremely talented thief. Able to break in most places without raising attention. He can lockpick pretty much any door, unless it's something akin to a safe with a specific mechanism.

Mental Training: While it may appear that Kyle has a good grasp of his bestial side, it's related to the daily mental exercises he has to go through. Because getting angry is faster when you're a predator, it's necessary to keep his psyche balanced and evacuate the stress before he reaches his limits. This allows him to resist mind probing. It doesn't block off telepathy but won't allow people to read him open like a book. A powerful mind reader can bypass his mental defenses with brute force but doing so is very likely to trigger a transformation.

Equipment:
S&W M&P 40: His weapon of choice. 15 rounds capacity. While it looks like a normal weapon, it has been cursed by a powerful witch to bring unbearable pain to whoever gets shot. The suffering is proportional to the sins this person brought to others.

Silver & Iron handcuffs: Ideal to neutralize vampires, werewolves, faeries and some other species. He always have at least a pair of these on him.

Origin:

Unwanted child born from an abusive master and a slave mother in 1623. He grows up in Virginia and learns to work at three. When he reaches his six year of existence, he's sold as a sex slave to an European Aristocrat traveling back to England. The child is quickly put to 'work' and starts a miserable life devoid of any hope. Docile and patient, he waits for a good opportunity to escape. This chance his granted to him two years later when he managed to run away from town and makes his way into the nearby woods. Thinking himself in security for the first time of his life, he doesn't bother to look behind as he goes deeper and deeper inside tortuous paths. As he starts to wonder how he will find food in this dark place, he finds a seemingly desert campfire with what looks like a roasting rabbit on it. Hoping nobody would find out, he snatches the piece of food and run away. As he stops to catch his breath, Kyle finds three people surrounding him. The trio neutralizes him quickly then decide that he's far too skinny to make a really good meal. One argues that he's only interested in devouring his heart but the others two propose to turn him so that he can lure more people into the woods for them. Without a way to defend himself, Kyle become their plaything. He follows their orders and help them feed. After a while, the group starts getting closer to the town, much to Kyle's terror. Eventually, the young boy managed to bring a blond woman with him but, when his comrades surround her, she makes short work of them. Kyle tries to flee, in vain.

The vampire presents herself and explains him that she was sent to inquire about the disappearance of several persons in the vicinity. Kyle explains that what he made was wrong but didn't have a choice. He asks for forgiveness in tears but instead of the cold silver kiss, she gives him a hug and promises to not hurt him. From this point onwards, the two travels together as Forest teaches him how to control his instincts. She gives him a short but strict education and the little wolf is happy to learn. They only stay together for a couple of weeks before she brings him to a vampire's couple who would raise him as their son. Kyle refuses to part ways but Forest answers that she couldn't guarantee his safety. She gives him a crow pendent and leaves shorty after.

Nowadays, Kyle is a Hunter. Contrary to most of them, who act in cooperation with the Church or any other organizations willing to share information, he usually works alone. He gives chase to the supernatural beings in the Nexus who threatens the population and help those in troubles. While he is willing to help however he can, he prefers to keep an eye on his own species because unlike him, they rarely shows the will to control their powers or their frenzy.

Just by looking, it's easy to tell, Kyle is a kind guy with an open personality. He doesn't discriminate, simply esteem people through actions. Among the Lycanthropes of the Nexus, he's one of the easiest to get along and it happens rarely that people get seriously mad at him, because, down to the core, he stayed true to the teachings he received from a certain vampiress. He gets along just fine with about anyone and this clownish facade that he shows is genuine in spite of what others might think.

Kyle is often difficult to keep up with, his pace being somewhat unpredictable. Kyle is also stubborn and persistent. He's rather pragmatic and prefers the expeditive approach when dealing with a job. He's not heartless but would rather kill a dangerous guy than seeing him free few hours later because he knows who to bribe. While being part of the goods guys, he's still down to earth on matters of money and ask for a reward each time he accepts a job.

He is rather well known among the werewolves for having killed some of their pack leaders but, is considered a strange individual for denying the life in community with his kin.

He has a serious feud with Quinn and would likely kill him if given the opportunity. He gets along mildly with Gabriel, calling him Lucifer. Although they might not be really close, he usually tags along with the hybrid in order to tease Forest. He considers her lakin to a mother figure but won't necessarily listen to her. Because she has yet to succumb to his charms, he has his eyes on Ash nowadays. Although he doesn't have real feelings for her, he thinks she would make for a nice trophy. He's also an acquaintance of Joshua Hunters.

This Velvet Room entrance was good, Yolf.

Enkidu

Being left with his scaly companion, the boyish figure scratched his head.

"Well, let us be on our way as well."

No need to dwell any further where they stood.

She would like to see Ragna and you'll deliver Terumi. How cruel of you.
