Ghost Child

The spirit paused suddenly as if in thought and flickered. His body switched through at least a dozen weeping children of different races and time periods before returning back to his normal appearance, albeit with the purple tear stains on his smiling face looking a little wet. "I don't have any parents, mister. What about you?"

Aisha

There was a certain vibrancy in Aisha that wasn't there before. The meeting with Anatu had done much good for her. It had relieved her of stress she didn't even know she had and the result was a much more relaxed woman which was rather evident as she laughed. The soft trills of birds joined the sound of her voice as she did. "You will never have anything to fear from me, Child, but where are the other Children? There must be more of you here."

Mata Boyd

The creature reacted almost instantly as if it had known that the girl was raising her gun. It launched itself to the right wall and dodged the blasts without even bothering to slow down. Then its method of retreat became clears as a shower of large spikes several inches thick were launched from the darkness.

The sewage worker acted instantly and with a growl punched the wall closest to her. It shattered and she slammed the largest piece of rubble in front of her to act as a barrier as she pushed it forward.

Aisha

As the First Mother laid against the saproling it continued to grow even as the Children walked in. Roots and vines covered the ground around her and gently let go as she stood up. Her gaze focused on the Children before her. Not a single Child for her elementals clung to him and there was another presence there. A warm, motherly smile spread across her face and she held out her hand.

"Come now, there's no reason to hide. My Children don't need to shy away from me."

Caedia

The Arisen walked in just after Akiholarme did. Then she paused. Her focus was not on the fact that Crest had somehow removed the locks on one of the metal boxes but that he was rummaging. Looting without her! She had to make up for lost time. Caedia had never actually picked a lock and she wasn't going to start now!

She unsheathed her sword and it hummed with the will of its owner. Caedia swung the Dragon's Dogma and the lock broke with a clang. Then she opened it and began rummaging through the belongings of whoever left their possessions in here. If they didn't want it stolen they would have kept it on themselves or left it in their home. Anything else was just asking for someone to take your things.

Ghost Child

"Right, malignant spirit. We'll get a mage on that. The exit is up the stairs on the first floor. Big doorway. Can't miss it." As the officer spoke the spirit simply floated in front of the demon making silly faces. He was really weird. Maybe they could try different game when they were outside of here. But for right now he would wait until they left the building first.

As the ghost floated behind the group he ignored the question as a brown eyed and brown haired policeman knocked on the door. "Sir, You're going to have to vacate the premises immediately. We would rather that you make this as easy as possible for all of us."

Mata Boyd

The sewage worked didn't even turn to look back and see if they were still following. She could hear them trudging through the filth easily enough. Something told her that she was really going to dislike the blonde on the water. She seemed rather stupid, and stupid people got themselves and everyone else killed down here.

They proceeded without a word for about ten minutes before the sewers became noticeably more spacious. There were shapes moving on the fringes of where the light reached but Mata seemed completely unconcerned until she heard loud dripping.

Her eyes and flashlight moved towards the top of the tunnels and saw a black and red creature with a mostly humanoid body except for its spider-like legs clinging to the ceiling. Tentacles from its abdomen were greedily tearing into a corpse and being stored inside it.

The moment light shone upon it the monster screeched with its large mouth , dropped what was left of the human corpse, and skittered back from the group at speeds far beyond a normal human but nothing too quick for more unnatural beings in the Nexus.

"So, is that the one you're looking for?" Her tone lacked any sort of enthusiasm or surprise and almost seemed bored.

The spirit had completely ignored the man and had instead phased through the ground straight to the outside of the building just to see flashing blue and red lights. A small group of unhappy and tired looking policemen entered the building he had just exited and the curious kid followed after them.

As they moved towards the bottom floor Ghost Child noticed the somberness that was expressed through the quietness of the group and smiled. Maybe he should play a game with them.

"Nope!' The phantom stuck out his rotting tongue before dispersing into nothing.

"No, no, no. That's wrong, you got it all wrong! If you break a toy, you ARE wasting it. By breaking it, it can't do anything ever again and no one can play with it anymore. So if a toy is boring, you should leave it in the toy box and find another one instead. Who knows, maybe someone else will find that boring toy to be the most awesomest toy since ever! But if you break it, you will make other children sad. THAT is wasting."

An adorable giggle resounded throughout the room. "They're my toys mister. Not anyone else's. Sometimes I share, but if I want to break one of them I will."

He ignored the part about making other children sad. What did he know? Ghost Child is a kid. If he thinks they're boring then the other kids will think they're boring too.

Ghost Child

The phantom shifted back into the decaying and cracked form of Ghost Child before pondering the request. "That's silly, mister. If a toy is boring then you should just break it. Otherwise you waste the toy!. Everyone knows you shouldn't waste toys."

The phantasm tilted its head. "What promise, mister?"

Within the floor Ghost Child frowned at the words 'beat you into submission'. The bad people did that too.

2231
Ghost Child

"You're not a toy, mister! You're too different from them to be a toy." It was true. No normal thing could nearly catch him in a game of hide and seek after all. He was really fast!

Childish laughter exited the phantom's mouth and it also sat down. "You're silly, mister. I was treating it like a toy because it was a toy, and if I can't play with it then nobody can. Simple! You don't ask a toy if they want to play. I don't ask the swings if I can play on them and I don't ask the toys if I can play with them. I just do!"

At that exuberant outburst a large spurt of phantasmal blood splashed onto the floor.

The curious face of the child remained hidden under the brick and mortar of the floor as he waited for Kenzo to leave. Minutes passed as the man looked for the child but the spirit never popped up. Instead the other phantom walked into view before shifting into the broken toy. His tongue was still ripped out and and phantasmal blood dripped on the floor.

The mouth moved and Ghost Child's voice was what exited it. "Are you mad that I broke the toy, mister?"

2234
Urthemiel

The mage sighed and looked at the whole thing with disinterest. "It doesn't really matter what opened it, does it? They won't stop pouring out and something more than the fodder will start spawning soon."

As the rest of the demons converged on Nova and the tear rift began to spew out even more demons Urthemiel simply walked off the roof and glowed brightly before taking the form of a glorious eagle. It gracefully flew through the air away from the roof without a second thought about the Fade tear. There was no point in lingering considering how unimportant that person was. She had other concerns.

Ghost Child

The child was unnaturally still as he phased into the floor but his phantoms were not so subtle. When the redheaded man opened the drawer the phantom within it launched itself at his head and screamed "Surprise!".

The Prisoner

It had decided that it was finished familiarizing itself with this false world. The time had come to repay that world for the humiliation of imprisonment. A dark hand was raised to the heavens and it spoke the word, and the word was OPEN. What else could existence do but obey?

Reality was torn asunder by the authority alone within the being that commanded it, and despite the nature of the Nexus nothing could stop the prisoner from leaving it. The grand break in reality showed a sickly looking planet with a dim sun and a darkened moon. It ascended into the new universe without any fanfare and snapped its fingers. There would be no arrogance in this. Only an end.

The stars winked out of existence. Everything in creation simply began to vanish and leave only darkness. Several chunks of the planet over time until it was finally all gone. And as the sun and moon ceased to be the wound in the sky slowly shut and disappeared seamlessly.

The spirit flitted from filing cabinet to filing cabinet and moved through multiple stacks of papers and desks as it wandered the room. Then with his face filled with an adorable look of concentration he expended some Essence and darkness swirled around before transforming into phantoms.

There were two of them and they looked like a dark reflection of Ghost Child himself but they were broken. Their skin was covered in spiderweb cracks and there were large holes punched into different parts of their bodies. While each of them moved to hide he sank into the ground and just waited and watched. He had to check if the man was a bad man. Then he could punish him.

The sewage worker simply ignored the stuck up bitch walking on water and gave the more reasonable man her attention. "Considering that you all didn't even check with our office and tell us that you were making an appearance I suppose your plan is basically wandering through here until you find something with tentacles and praying it's the same monster? I don't actually want to know how long it took for you all to come up with this plan."

She sighed and pulled out a small flask of some foul, green liquid before uncorking it, lifting her mask, and drinking it. For the few scant moments her mask was up one could see bright blue eyes and extremely pale skin. Then she strapped her mask back on and pocketed the now empty flask.

"Administration does not pay me enough for this shit. Anyways I've already categorized parts of the sewer based on its state for the last couple of weeks with the help of a few other workers down here. The last week or so was some nasty fights between some pink, hairless, gorilla things and basically everything else is this sewer although they've mostly gone missing. Right now Jesus cop is heading over to the place with the ugly rat things. If you want to head for the unclaimed areas that are basically used as universal transit here you'll want to follow me. You'll have a better chance of finding your monster there."

Then she started to walk off in the opposite direction of the officers and gestured them to follow.
