Anya's Dad

"AHAHAHAHAHAHA! Don't you know anything about women, kid? She's not going to ask you any questions; she's going to beat answers out of you because you pissed her off!" His laughter was practically explosive, the force of it sending gusts of wind away and shaking the earth. He didn't really get any more serious, but he calmed down a tad to look right at Ezekiel. "But a deal's a deal. Just fill the little soldiers up and they'll be perfect. See you around, kid."

He turned back and walked back through one of the rainbows and out of them came knights. They were not glorious but instead dirty and decrepit. Shallow creatures pulled out from the earth itself. Empty vessels, waiting to be filled.

The girl's eyes widened in shock at the figure, her hands trembling with a mixture of complete surprise and hate. It left her completely open to the attack that had been unleashed upon her. The draconic magic darted towards her with death in its eyes and she had no defense to bring against it. On impact it would shatter her form and scatter Anya like the dust she had been made from. It's what should have happened.

"Hey punk, don't you know you're supposed to ask the parents before you take their daughter out?"

A rainbow blasted through the darkness, shredding apart the singularity as it smashed apart the dragon and golden haired woman as well. Anya fell into the arms of the gallant figure who caught her as if she didn't way a thing. It was something almost out of a story as he held the knight like one would a princess. "And you, you really got to learn how to cut back with these boys. First it was the chimera, then it was the dark knight, and now it's this void dragon kid." Then he pinched the bridge of his nose and looked up at the guy. "Or at least get better taste. Someone dashing, maybe a bit of a scoundrel but not quite a full villain either. All my grandkids will be scumbags if you keep this up!"

That was about the point he realized she was completely unconscious. Then he looked at Ezekiel. His furrowed brow relaxed a tad at the sight, as if he was seeing something familiar. "Alright kid, I'm not an unfair guy. Anya probably started this going by how she booted up the Bifrost and it's hard to resist the kind of girl who can kill you. I don't know why you're really here, but if I were to guess... well a man loves a good raid. Hell, if I was younger I'd probably be out here myself plundering places, meeting fine women, fighting off a horde of noble heroes. Good times." He caught himself in the middle of his recollection with a shake of his head. "Alright, so here it is. For showing Anya a good time and not roughing her up too bad, I'll give you a bit of help. You just gotta promise me one thing. No slaughtering the civvies with them. Have them fight the cops, or force the civilians out of the area, or anything else. Just don't have my boys carving up the people like turkey. Do we have a deal?"

Her grip on her sword was so hard that her fingers cracked with the force as she blocked the deadly thrust. With a forceful push she forced the blade downwards before lashing out with her sword to cut him in two. "I can't believe you would know of that title. Someone like you... how would you...." Anya seemed disturbed, shocked on some fundamental level that this erratic shadow monster would know of such a thing.

Goodness, if she wasn't suspended in this space Anya was sure she would have fallen over already. It was a rather frightening feeling regardless. She was sure if she gave in for just a moment this devouring singularity would consume her entirely as well despite being one of the casters. But she refused to give in! By sheer force of will Anya continued to move herself through the void, sword in hand. "This blade belongs to me. And I... I am the Grail King!" There was a note of desperation in her voice as she dove forwards. The void rippling with her intent as she swung to separate Ezekiel's head from his body.

The strikes came down like hammers. Her armor wasn't simply dented, it was cracked and shattered as if it were her own body. Even when she molded light around her in plates of glorious metal they soon crumpled and the emptiness within became more and more apparent. But she took it all. She withstood every single hit until finally her sword's light suddenly vanished.

"Inverse the aurora. Drown out the light. Grail King's Despair!"

The blade became a solid black, quickly growing in size as it dragged in everything around it. Air, light, mana, it dragged them all in and left nothing behind. It swallowed up even the shadows that were holding it as she pushed inwards, the blade still growing larger as it threatened to just swallow up Ezekiel entirely. It was a darkness that could not be pierced, no light could reveal its depths, it was beyond knowing. Not a shadow, not the absence of light, but that which was before Creation. A primordial black in which nothing existed but it.

"That is not for you to know. Enforcement Knights, detonate!" Five of them exploded at once into volleys of burning energy. Two were singular bursts of light, two more were a dozen blasts of power, and the last one became a near flood of weak brightness that Anya leaped into as she chased after the man. A pulse from her sword amplified all the blasts as they dove in towards Ezekiel at frightening speeds, her blade hidden and waiting to strike within the blinding white.

She was well worn now, the occasional hit that got in leaving scratches and light damage. One particular strike had carved a small hole that revealed nothing. No blood or liquid, no strands of flesh or bone, just darkness. That which had fallen away simple turned to dust and dirt. With that pressure her blade flashed, and she pushed him back with a wall of burning light. The knights were still completely motionless, just watching the conflict. "A dragon? You've made a pick with poor synergy. I am Anya, daughter of the Father. As are these Enforcement Knights. They've come to provide proper aid."

Anya decapitated around three quarters of them with a single swing. Their helmets flew into the air to show their hollowness to the world. But they remained lustrous and noble. That is, until light flowed from all the fallen into her sword. Then the fallen collapsed into useless dust and dirt. Then a strand of light flew from her sword into the knights who began to crack and shudder with light. "But if you impress Him... Perhaps you will not face justice today." Then she dashed forward as the remaining and volatile fighters ran after her.

Her blade glowed brightly as she smirked at the situation. Despite everything her smile had returned in full force. She lashed out with a golden swing as the rainbows began to vanish. Only the few in the nearby area remained, and as their clash sent shockwaves to shatter the glassy ground, more of the gleaming knights emerged from them and began to organize into legions a bit behind her.

"A monster with the intensity of a human? You're quite the character!"

One, two, ten, a hundred, a thousand? It didn't matter how many. But... "It won't bring me any joy to kill you twice." She lacked even the slightest trace of cruelty or regret. Then she leaped away from the weapons as she cried out, "Return!"

There wasn't a moment of hesitation. Her sword that blazed like a star burst like a comet right towards her "Release, Radiant Dawn!" And it let go of the heat and light that it had wrapped around itself. The blade darted free and all that was left was the sweltered sphere of power without an ounce of stability. It released almost immediately. The star struck the earth and a blistering and blinding bomb of light struck it. The rainbows were unaffected but the power of the blast was enough to wipe away the buildings all around them. Anya raised a hand to defend herself, and for a moment her shadow grew painfully dark and empty and stayed distinct against the endless light even as it wiped away all else.

When it was done Anya was panting. Her left hand had been melted away into nothing more than molten metal with not a hint of flesh beneath it. "Maybe... maybe I shouldn't start with such a strong move first." She took a few more second to catch her breath as she rested her knee on the glassed ground.

This isn't enough. And I need to make sure the entire area is cleared out too. The miniature sun let out bursts of flame, raging and consuming as its light grew ever stronger. Rainbows began to spill from it as artificial extensions of the Bifrost to clear out the entire area before her as well. "I assume you were here to release the prisoners upon the populace. Out of all of them in the district this has the most notable criminals. You must have given this at least a moment of thought, so I must know. Why?"

The Bifrost was was strained as it was. Anya knew that pushing the evacuation any harder than it already was going could be disastrous. But for now she could at least alleviate it a tad. So with a heave she threw her sword into the air and it burst with the radiance of the sun. It did not banish the darkness but it struggled and fought with all it had to bring a semblance of normalcy and light to the area. More importantly, the rainbow portals grew more distinct and even wider under its rays.

"Surely you can wait a moment? You were patient enough to set the mood before your attack. Let us go over your motives here. It will make determining your prison sentence easier after this is done." Her posture was perfect, her demeanor unyielding, but her soul shook under the strain of her work.

"Ah, we heroes, we have so much to do!" A slash of light ripped open the darkened night. An brilliant rainbow sliced through the darkness to reveal the cheery visage of the one who could stand against this evil. In her hand was a gleaming blade that shone with an aurora of colors. "You have one chance to surrender! Cease your attack and submit to justice immediately!"

She shouted that, but her sword spoke volumes about what she intended as a slash of brilliant energy hurtled towards the source of it all. Meanwhile rainbows began to break through the sky where they landed brilliantly armored knights walked through them as if they were portals. Immediately they began the work of evacuating as much of the area as possible through the majestic gateways.

Greed

The sea had lost its calm qualities, moving and shifting with a tide that seemed to emanate from the disturbed dream of the fish. Of her. "And you can? Squirming shadows in the dark, hungering for the stars? Your understanding just makes you more alien. A reflection that talks back should just disappear."

Greed slipped into the waters and began to sink into the jaw of the fish. And her voice began to come from all the world. "Proof. Bring me proof. Provide a meal full of desire and I will help you."

Greed

That slipped into its jaws as well, but she hardly seemed to care at all. "For someone who wants such big things you're thinking so small. Have someone to myself? I have everyone to myself." For the first time the seas were clear and you could see beneath it. A whole world, endless in scope. Although perhaps world was rather charitable. It was an endless void where countless things floated within, never touching each other. Magic attacks, and fires, and buildings, cars and other vehicles, and people. So many people. All of them kept neatly within her forever. Many were magical girls, but there was no small number of normal civilians and other supernaturals intermingled within.

"So will that be all?" The fish remained eyes shut and dreaming, still surfaced.

Greed

She seemed even more calm now that the current facades had been dropped. "I don't need help chewing. You need a better deal. And I'm no idiot. You know I wish to eat everything, and you want to live and be seen, so you'll betray me. And..." The fish began to surface.

"Why should I let you grow fat and strong when desires are all the more sweet when unfulfilled?"
