Forest folded her arms across her chest and answered, "His name's Emiya Shirou.  He's Japanese and a magic user.  He . . . the best way I can describe him is 'calico'.  His hair is white and red, and his skin is molted dark and light.  He also has one gray eye and one golden one.  He's a bit of a repressed wanker too, if his reaction to my bite was any indication.  Oh, yeah, he can summon swords out of mid-air and make them explode."

He stared at her as she voiced the familiar name from that Grail War. His eyes were wide as his scarlet focused on her with confused intensity. It was one thing if it was that boy from that time. But that does not sound like him. No, he sounds more like that grouchy Archer who was able to block his mighty throw with his rosy layers of a shield.

"Oh this is great. This keeps getting weirder and weirder," he groaned, "Yeah. I think I know him. But he definitely sounds a whole lot different than I last seen him and now he looks like Archer--"

Something was clicking in. While his era never had any focus in mathematics, he certainly can put one and one together. He snorted and then sighed.

"So that's how it is," he grimly thought to himself.

It somehow made sense now why he kept betraying them in the War. He looked back at Forest and then nodded.

"We'll want to see what Archer knows about this. Ya know where he's gonna be hangin' out at?"

While Lancer continued to enjoy the view as he could, the sudden movement of her hips gave him a dead sign that she was looking back at him. He promptly looked up, innocently pretending that he hasn't been looking this whole time.

Forest
As she walked Lancer to the garage she frowned and looked at him.  "You know, I have no idea where to bloody find him.  I mean, he's the sort once you see him you wouldn't forget him, but knocking my fists on some lowlifes to get them to talk would take a lot of time.  It would be fun though."

"Well that's one helluva annoyance we're in," he remarked with an equal frown matching the vampire's, "But ruining degenerates can be a good start for one."

She toyed with the charm on her choker and mused, "He's also moonlighting as a vampire hunter and Van Helsings aren't looked too fondly in the leech community."  She tilted her head and asked with a grin, "Got any ideas where to start?"

"Well, what do you know about him other than being an unwanted vigilante? We can begin there."

Forest smiled at the look Lancer was giving her, realizing it had been too long since she'd gotten such a look.  Then she tilted her head and said, "Well, follow me then."

The blond turned, gracefully pivoting on her heel, and lead him towards the garage.

"Aye. It's about time."

He lifted himself from the wall to level himself flat onto his feet. As she turned to start walking, so did Cu. The way how confidently she held herself with the shapely rear facing towards him caused him to smile even deeper. Like a dog led by a leash.

He waited as she dressed, a possible follower of that goddess . The presence of the crows continued to leave a bad taste in his mouth, no doubt for a hero who faced such misfortune. But never mind that, he shouldn't be so rude. This was just a personal matter and he was just receiving free booze and lodgings from an attractive vampire. Oh the things he does for strong drink and women.

Forest
"Ready?" she asked with a smile.

She was stunning, a stark contrast from her earlier pajamas. Cu couldn't help, but beam at her new appearance as he could finally drink in the sight of her shapely form. Those legs. Oh those legs...

"Always," he replied as his eyes flashed eagerly for action, "Like always, lead the way."

"Makes for a funny story," Lancer grinned before gesturing for her to go out first, "Looking forward to it. Lead the way."

Forest grinned and said, "As for Funny Stories I can tell a few . . .   But I have a reputation to uphold!  I can't get lazy and go beating up the forces of evil in my PJs."   However she led him down into the lowest level of the compound.  There was a distinct lack of windows and the walls seemed to be thicker here.  A low hum of magic seemed to vibrate around the walls, signaling that the wards were at their strongest here.

She gestured to her office, complete with its Army of Darkness poster framed on the wall.  "That's my office, I have an entertainment room across from it, a sort of sanctuary for myself when people get too annoying or loud, and my bedroom with a full bath."

She opened the door to the bedroom, expecting a crack about how purple everything was, save for the painting of a murder of crows milling about on the Moors on the wall above her bed.

"No. Of course not, lass. It isn't like as if they wouldn't mind getting themselves into a pillow fight with you."

He followed after her, steps creaking down the stairs. The place felt "sturdier" with more reinforced walls. There was power subtly laced in the area, a protective layer of it. It was definitely a handiwork of some magus and they felt rather "snug" with the security it provided.

"Not a bad place--," he commented just as she was opening the door. But, he fell silent at the stark violet in the four walls. An insignia of a crow was apparent. The sign of that "Goddess", even now she never seemed to give him any rest. He frowned at this development.

"I'll just wait here when you get dressed," Cu said as he leaned at a nearby wall just outside of the entrance of her bedroom.

"Makes things less boring if ya ask me. Let's go. Explain to me along the way, lass."

Forest put the glasses in the sink with a nod.  "Ah, first I need to change and get ready.  I mean, going out to pummel some sense into someone wearing my PJs is kind of ridiculous.  I'd be really comfy, but get cold really quickly.  Well, come along, at least I can show you were my quarters are."

"Makes for a funny story," Cu cracked a grin at the imagery. He gestured her to go out first, "Looking forward to it. Lead the way."

"Well, it all works out after all," Lancer said with a snort before emptying his glass and moving to pour another glass of schnaps.

His ears perked up before he looked back at her and asked,  "Yeah? Ya need any help? I can come if ya want, lass."

Forest perked up at his offer, smiled and nodded.  "Actually, that would be great.  I could use someone to watch my back, and considering what this guy can pull out, it would probably be a good thing.  I feel a little outclassed."

She laughed as she sipped at her Fuzzy Navel.  "Me outclassed.  I'm an ancient vampire and now I'm a little fish in a huge ocean.  Subjected to all the sharks' whims."

"Always means there's gonna be a great challenge ahead," Cu said as he also emptied the glass again in a few gulps. He set it back on the table and started to get back up to his feet. Of course, it would take more than two glasses to get him buzzed. But, never mind that. This was a good opportunity to pay back his new landlady.

"Makes things less boring if ya ask me. Let's go. Explain to me along the way, lass."

Forest nodded at Lancer's words to toasting Gabriel.  She poured some orange juice in a glass and a bit of the peach schnapps, swirling it together.  Gabriel, if he had been here, would have cheered the situation.

He'd probably say something like, "Good for you, Godmother.  You're actually socializing with a man you find attractive.  There's hope for you yet."  Then he'd smirk in that infuriating way of his that's way too much like his mum.

Lancer poured himself a glass of pure schnapps with ice, lifted it up and said, "Cheers to your god-son."

The vampire lifted her glass and said, "To Gabriel.  May you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night, and the road downhill all the way to your door."  She took a drink, smiling at the mixture of juice and spirits and held the glass between her palms, rubbing them against the slick surface.  "And the same to you, Lancer.  Also, I doubt Archer's going to be staying here because his new master's apparently shacking up with Abigail.  So, there's that.  I do need to go out tonight though; there's an idiot I need to try to save."

"Cheers," Lancer smiled as he raised his glass towards her as well.

He sipped at the liquor and smacked his lips. A soft sweetness compared to everything he tried. It was a nice change for once.

"Well, it all works out after all," the former servant snorted, but he was undoubtedly pleased by this. It was some good news to hear that that annoying Archer was going to leave this place.

He emptied a glass with another gulp and started to pour another.

His ears perked up and his eyes glanced back at her need to leave while the booze started to fill up the cup, "Yeah? Ya need any help? I can come if ya want, lass."

I've been thinking things through a lot, and after talking to Caster and a few other people I think I've made a decision in regards to my future for this RP and I think it would be in everyone's best interests if I stopped this rendition of Kayneth and stop posting altogether for a while.

It might be for a few weeks or it might be permanently but this non-stop bickering is helping no one and I hate making people bitter over something stupid.

As for you Yolf I do think it might help if in the future you try to lighten up the rules just a little bit and be more lenient towards people, this is meant to be a fun RP after all!

And knick sorry for wasting your time like this but Mia and Kayneth were a bad match to begin with. Though I do think you were stringing me along a little bit I probably could have put a little more thought into my posts to prevent the situation from happening in the first place.

I'll leave SHIKI as a possibility and I might redo Kayneth as well but for this particular rendition of Kayneth I'll leave up to knick's decision, this Kayneth is completely under knick's control from this point on. Get rid of him, take him over, turn him into a npc, give him to another player, whatever you want it's up you.

I might be back or I might not, only time will tell. I just wanted to apologize and I recommend that people try to lighten up a bit.

Cy'all later!

Don't come back.

"Did I already say that I like you?"

Forest would have blushed if she had fed recently at that, instead her smile grew.  She replied, "Not exactly, but if you want to say it again I'd really like to hear it."

She moved to lead him to the kitchen, trotting down the steps.  Part of her had been sad that everyone had left, but Lancer was still here and that was a nice thing.  "Admittedly, its fruity and sweet, pretty much the epitome of a fruity girly drink, but I like it in orange juice.  It can't get me snockered, but fermented liquor lost its kick to me."

She then sighed and said, "Part of the reason I have such an extensive collection was my godson loved it so, and with me here in the Nexus and him at home, he won't be able to drink it any time soon.  So I'm glad someone's using it, especially since they're a Celt."

They soon reached the kitchen and Forest started retrieving glasses, ice, and various bottles.  "Ah here we go."

"Sure. I like ya," he repeated himself as they started to cascade down the stairs, "Ya're a great lass. What's not to like?"

After a couple of stairs down, they finally reached what looks like a kitchen connected to a huge dining room with three sets of chairs and tables. No doubt to accommodate the number of inhabitants in Forest's abode.

"Ain't that a shame. All that booze and he can't get his hands on it," Cu sadly smiled at her explanation of her god-son, "We can always toast in his honor if that means anything."

There wasn't much that he could do for her. Separation is always a painful thing, an awful and familiar agony. With the vampire finally retrieving the prize to the table, he eagerly picked out a piece of ice to occupy the glass and looked over at the variety of bottles that she had brought over. Cu started to survey through each one, until finding the schnaps that Forest mentioned earlier.

With a glass full of ice and the peach liquor, he raised it up.

"Cheers to your god-son."

Forest found herself grinning in return and tilted her head towards the stairs.

"Of course I do.  Mead, cider, beer, whiskey, scotch, take your pick," she answered.

Her smile stiffened; the real reason her liquor cabinet was stocked was someone she wasn't going to see again.  She shook it off, swung her arms and said, "I also have some peach schnaps too.  Its good with orange juice."

"Did I already say that I like you?"

So many choices. And so little ti-- No wait, of course there's a lot of time. The demi-god was immensely pleased. A roof under his head with a plethora of alcohol to slake his thirst. This stay was just getting better and better. But something felt off. He couldn't quite put a finger on it, but it disappeared as the blonde quickly recovered her bearings.

"Schnaps? Then I'd better give it a try then."

He started to make his way down the stairs, but gestured her to lead him to the glorious booze to be had.

"Lead the way, lass."

"It's done, lass. Anything else you need?"

Now there's a loaded question if I've ever heard one, Forest thought to herself before grinning at Lancer.

She answered, "Thank you, that's great.  Now let's get inside before more than your hair starts to turn blue.  I could fix some tea or I have something a might bit stronger if you prefer."

His teeth flashed at her into a hopeful grin at her offer. Tea would be nice, but there is always something better.

"Got any booze?"

"You're welcome.  I mean, I can't die of hypothermia, but I still feel the cold and I'm not even in it so I figured you'd be freezing," Forest said with a small smile and a shrug, "I'm just glad it fits."

She then nodded and said, "Well, you brace the area with one hand and hold the gun right up to where you want to nail.  Don't put it at an angle or it won't go in right.  Then you just press the trigger and BOOM it should be nailed.  Technology, one thing I'll never get tired of."

He nodded at her instructions and held it up with a smile. Simple. Just the way he liked it.

"Thanks. I won't take long. I'll be back."

He opened the door and walked back out into the frosty cold. But it wasn't as harsh as before. With both the tarp and the gun in hand and arm, the ex-servant headed over. He felt a slight recoil, a staccato of nails pinning the expansive tarp over the hole. It might as well not have caused any recoil as Cu could barely feel it. Not a single inch was uncovered as he finished. With a satisfied nod, he headed back over. The snow followed him through the crack as he slipped back in while being careful not to douse the blonde vampire in the sun.

"It's done, lass. Anything else you need?"

Forest frowned as she realized Lancer was shivering as she watched through a tiny crack in the door.

"Uh, hey lass? Got anything that could hold this thing down while I'm at it?"

Forest nodded, realizing she had a nail gun.  She'd never used it, but she'd seen enough horror movies to know that they could be useful.  "I'll be back," she told him before running back downstairs.  On the way down, she grabbed a spare coat that looked like it would fit Lancer as well as the nail gun.

She sprinted back up the stairs to the roof access and said, "I can show you how to use this baby if you need me too, and I brought this so you don't freeze yourself blue."  She held out the coat to him with a smile.

He nodded as she descended down the steps. As she left, Cu came back inside with snow following after him. It was warm again as he admired the change in temperature. The small pounding of steps could be heard as she came back up. It was the vampire, with a gun-like mechanism and a jacket. His lips curled into a grateful smile.

"Thanks for that." He dropped the tarp for the moment and took the coat before putting it on. it was a fair fit and felt snug and warm. His fingers took the nail gun from her hands as well and examined it. It was like a gun. Not really heavy, but it looked somewhat bulky with one hand.

"It's just pulling the trigger, right?"

He nodded and carefully eased himself through the small opening of the door to avoid bathing Forest in the searing sunlight. The space was somewhat small, even when he has a roll of tarp in his arm. It was freezing out here, with his Hawaiian shirt on. The snow felt like tiny needles that threaten to pierce into his bones. He shivered under the frost as it surveyed his exposed skin. It was a cage of steel all around the perimeter of the roof. Cu could spy out the gaping hole through all this snow.  Just as he was going to head on over there, he actually remembered something and grunted in annoyance.

The doorknob shook and opened to let the ex-Servant back in with the tarp in tow. He looked back at her sheepishly as he shook off the snow on the roll in his hands.

"Uh, hey lass? Got anything that could hold this thing down while I'm at it?"
