Except...Gil wasn't powered up. We just got an explanation of his powers. That's it. It's the same ol' Gil as in Fate. He is as OP now as he was then. Hell, Ea alone shows how powerful he is when fighting seriously...and that's the point. He rarely does so. That's the exploit. That's his "de-powering", which is canon.

So, no, you don't have to de-power him.

And yet Saber beat him in Fate. And Shirou beat him in UBW. And he got eaten in HF.

Just because Nasu clarified about his abilities and the Gate, it doesn't make him unbeatable. Gil is powerful, yes, but his ego is even more powerful, and thus he can be outsmarted and beaten just fine.

That's usually how it goes with these kinds of characters: not beaten through sheer strength alone, but through wits and ingenuity.

Not necessarily; it depends on the game, and the character in question. The removal of free will is usually just YHWH's schtick, and he's pretty much the extreme. Rest of Law tends to be more about the judgement and such, and maintaining order at all costs.

Remember, it's all about extremes and the dangers therein. For example, YHWH is the main villain in SMTII, even for the Law side. Hence why Neutral tends to be seen as the true route, since it works on balance. Also, the Good/Neutral/Evil scale is separate from the other scale.

In SMT, both Chaos and Law have their upsides and downsides.

Chaos tends to advocate free will and making one's own path in life. On the flipside, it does so through "might makes right" and "survival of the fittest", where the strong can do whatever they want. Law, on the other hand, advocates peace and equality. Downside is, it does so by removing free will and through merciless judgement.

Obviously, since either side can be your enemy in the games, you tend to see the extremes more often than not, but you do see lesser examples of each one occassionally.

Neutral, which is often treated as the "true" route and is right in the middle of the two, is the one that tries to find a balance between their ideologies, and/or works towards what's best for mankind in light of the other two extremes.

At least, that's how I interpret them.

22/30, actually; which is not bad, but is not exactly stellar, and I still don't know the rest of my score, so...

Anyways, here's a little WIP I started last night, trying to practice more on posing and such by using some reference pictures and stuff. Will try to work on it today as well, if I don't end up distracted by games.

Anyhow, I finally turned in my last art project for class and got it graded. And I got to keep it with me this time...


(btw, the teacher just took images from deviantArt, in my case this image, and told us to paint them in oil)

With this, the semester's finally over. Now I just need to wait for my final scores. And then next semester starts in two weeks. orz
Well, at least I'll get some rest til then.

Lantz, after a discussion with the admin team, we have decided to issue a warning to you.

As far as I am concerned regardless of your position i cannot accept you as an authority.

This can't keep happening. You can't dismiss an admin and her orders just because you have a personal beef with her. Not only that, but you ended up bringing up unnecessary drama (again) into this, despite me asking you not to do so.

You have a warning this time, but if this keeps repeating, we won't be as lenient.

I'll be honest. I haven't progressed much with doing arts for a while now. Mostly because COLLEGE arts and certain recent events have sucked the life out of me, not to mention the stress that came with those...

Anyways, while I finish some homework, have another character doodle without using references I made during class.
