Katsura leave, you aren't supposed to be in here, furthermore part of the game is trusting the GM and more importantly as GM I have to make rolls for NPCs in the first place, I do not trust rng programs to be fair or accurate.

Actually Mike, COYA often have sacrificial points, be it an item, a power or a character or whatever because a COYA is divided by however many storylines there are and however many choices the user is given. The current trend which is not native to COYA stories is the idea of writing in outcomes or actions. I grew up on the genre of books, as with role-playing there's actually a story to follow. This is why I don't do write ins as a rule. You get however many choices given by the storyteller, that's it. As for Sakura dying, I'm a lover of fiction and sometimes I will support the unfortunate lost of companions if the ends are good enough (HF barely qualified in this regard due to the obvious problem I have with it)

side note, I can't weigh in on the story directly because I'm still catching up on it.

Well ok, what magic can do in the wrong hands because technically ryo isn't a magi but child predator via magic. Still it kinda shakes her foundation to go through that, be as intelligent as she supposedly is and not see the massive flaw in her life style. The fact that she goes through that and sticks to that path from a social perspective paints her as kinda stupid or worse crazy.

Franco dude, I get the emulation of beyond horror for Caster's monster but seriously berserker is a traditional animation character who looks like he's bleeding the PhotoShop tween tool. It's just icky in my opinion.

You could not be any worse then the violence I've suffered From the trolls, most of whom have gotten away Scott free in their attempts to bully or threaten me. CGI rarely is any good when mixed with traditional animation. Lancelot looks really out of place here.

Rin's adventure makes some stuff in fsn contradictory or plain confusing. Mostly Rin in HF, actually Rin's inaction period.

oh, oh god. I almost forgot, Sola and Kenny are the seen Rider and Shinji. Puts a whole new spin on the finger breaking scene for me.

magic determines both damage and resistance stat wise. The skill would be a bonus, if you had say an 10 in magic the skill giving 5 this means you have a total of 15 when calculating magic resistance.

Chapter two: Introductions

The girls line up before us in three lines. We step forward, Shirou in a stiff way, Archer in a more formal manner and, as for myself, I think I'm a bit too relaxed. Likely because I've been a servant to most of these girls in one way or another throughout my life.

Arturia, Medusa, Bazzet, Nero, Rin, Akiha, Ayako, Leysritt and many other girls. With Shirou and Archer being mobbed because they look more, appealing, as servants I'm greeted by Arturia, Satsuki, Arcuied, Hisui and Kohaku.

Seeing Arturia in her armoured dress and full regalia, I cannot help but kneel.

"My King, I am ever at your service", I announce, waiting for the command to stand.

"I ask that you rise and treat me as you would anyone else, here my title holds no sway", she says, humble as always.

"I'm afraid I cannot accept that. While I can treat you without airs, I am a knight of Pendragon. Your safety is, as always, my utmost concern.”

Rank determines effect, damage and so on, skills depend on the skill itself, a skill like magic resistance adds a bonus to the magic stat when determining damage from magic attacks.

trust me it all balances out.

Reflection.

Chapter one: Situation

"Call it karma, do your best guys", he said as he disappeared into the myriad of worlds beyond the hallway he left us in.

"God damn it! That rainbow scented jackass", the kid shouts.

"Satoshi, do you know what this is about?" Shirou asks in his usual, naive way.

"Something stupid, I'm sure", the blonde groans, running a hand through his hair.

Before they can manage kill my brain cells with a stupid plan, I grab both of them and start dragging them down the hall until we find a room.

There, we find a message on the wall. Its statement is simple, if odd. “Emiya, for all your deeds, ill and fair alike, you shall serve the residents of this place.” Collars and bands form around our necks  and wrists as Shirou reads the words aloud.

"As the servants have finally arrived, would the residents please report to the main hall for introduction and first stage judgement", a voice announces, seemingly from nowhere.

The plain white room fades, revealing a massive ivory hall with stairs near the back and an ornate red carpet with gold trimmings. It reminds me of the Einzbern castle somewhat.

Many steps come suddenly, echoing into the hall. A sea of faces, all women.

I can't recognize all of them, actually, even half is hard, but the look on the kid's face says he could name each one and their favorite food.

"Barring an insidious turn, like our mana powering a doomsday device, and excepting the jewelry we've been forced to wear, I'm not opposed to serving this group", Satoshi says, drawing a bright grin.

Admittedly, with people like Saber and Rin around I'll have an alright time of this. As for the rest, the kid is, if nothing else, a good judge of character. Plus, just seeing the nervous look on Shirou's face means this will be entertaining.

A character has their primary weapon, it simply cannot use it's associated abilities until the given level has been achieved. Saber for example could not use the heat blast until the level required is reached.
