Abigail

Abigail nodded at Emily and said, "Humans it doesn't do much from where I'm from.  However Fae can have some pretty nifty trips on it."

"I wouldn't say it could be as magical as you."

Abby felt her cheeks heat up and she smiled, coyly lowering her lashes.

Emily

Emily cocked an eyebrow at the latest line from Law. Holding back laughter at the sheer cheesiness of that line, Emily managed a restrained smile as Abby responded.

"Well, we might as well see where it takes us, then," Emily says, "Chances are it'll be somewhere...enjoyable."

Law

The Sin-Eater shot a knowing wink at Emily. "I think I know what your idea of enjoyable is..." he said, before noticing Abigails blush. "Ready to chase the green devil then?"

Rin

Archer's smile wilted along he edges before he said, "When did you ever do that? I chose to do what I did. If I died protecting you, I chose to protect you. Self loathing doesn't suit you well Rin. You're too pretty to be moping around all the time."

Rin blinked at his words and then chuckled.  "I don't mope all the time, just when I'm strongly reminded of things I don't have," Rin said, lifting her glass to him.  She looked over at him, took a drink and felt the burn.  She looked down and said, "You have no idea how much I've missed you.  Idiot."

Archer

"I don't mope all the time, just when I'm strongly reminded of things I don't have," Rin said, lifting her glass taking a drink and looking down. "You have no idea how much I've missed you.  Idiot."

Archer sighed, shaking his head. "You really are hopeless aren't you? Still pining for me to be there to drink your tea, warm the house up, and basically be your maid?" he teased, relaxing a little bit. "But what don't you have? From the looks of things I'd say you've been doing quite well for yourself here."

Emily

"Don't see why not," Emily shoots back to Law, "Three is plenty company, no?"

The changeling watched the ritual Abby performed to prepare the Absinthe with no small amount of intrigue.

"Interesting," she admits, "Perhaps the others were just doing it wrong. From what I've heard, following the Green Fairy goes tends to differ from person to person."
Abigail

The redheaded Faerie half-breed shook her head as she placed the sugar cube on the slotted spoon.  She then opened a bottle of water, placed the spoon on top of the glass and began to trickle the icy water on the cube, slowly dissolving it.  She looked at the both of them with her peridot green eyes, almost the color of the pure liquor in the glass.

"You don't do shots of absinthe!  Part of it is the ritual.  There's magic here, which is why you have to do it right or it won't work," she told the two, the innuendo going over her head.
Law

"I wouldn't say it could be as magical as you." Law flirted, watching her slowly prepare the absinthe for consumption. His own drink sat by the wayside, anticipation of the green liqour soon to come.

Rin

"Why would I take a swing at you? You're my master after all."

He was smiling at her.  Of course he was smiling at her, teasing her just a bit like he always had.

Rin traced the top of her glass with her finger and answered, "Because I failed you.  You said I was the best possible master for you and I let you die because I couldn't protect myself."

Archer

"Because I failed you.  You said I was the best possible master for you and I let you die because I couldn't protect myself."

Archer's smile lessened a little bit. "When did you ever do that? I chose to do what I did. If I died protecting you, I chose to protect you. Self loathing doesn't suit you well Rin. You're too pretty to be moping around all the time."

Emily

Emily eyed the bottle worriedly. She hadn't always heard the best things about the Green Fairy, and it had led to rather unfortunate incidents with some of the Lost in her court during her time as Spring Queen.

"Thank you," Emily said, "But no thank you. I'll be fine with the rum and soda."

"Though," Emily continued, flashing Law a grin, "I suppose, no matter what we end up doing, the more the merrier, no?"
Abigail

Abigail's eyes widened as she saw the bottle of absinthe.  She leaned over the bar, grabbing the slotted spoon, a sugar cube, and the water for it, all but bouncing in her seat.  There was a reason why the drink got the knick name "Green Fairy"; the wormwood had a stronger affect on Fae than it did humans.  Chasing it varied from Faerie to Faerie, but it was something she had always wanted to try.

"Oh thank you," she said, looking at the both of them.  She grabbed more glasses and sugar cubes and asked, "Have the either of you tried this?"

Law

The Sin Eater grinned as he sipped his Whiskey, catching Emily's little bit of innuendo. "Well, more the merrier indeed in my opinion, if you can handle it. I have to say I have before." The drink burned a little as he looked at Abby. "Absinthe? Not really. Once or twice, but the taste isn't my favorite to be honest. I wouldn't mind a shot or two though, once I'm done with this."

Rin

Lorenzo glared at Rin after blocking her blow.  Reinforced as she was, it should have shattered the man's arm, but it hadn't.  She gave him a flat look and said in a cold voice, "That was a stupid thing for you to do, pirate."

"You know, I think I sort of deserved that. Hi Rin. Mind if I take a seat next to you?"

Rin felt her anger drain out of her as she said, "Maybe you should have taken a swing at me."  Then she gestured to the seat beside her with a lump forming in her chest.
Archer

The Servant slipped into the seat next to her, leaning against the bar lazily, casting a smile at his former master. Archer had to admit her fiery temper wasn't unexpected all things considered, but how fast she'd calmed down was a little surprising.

He'd expected Rin to have much worse than a punch to throw at him.

"Why would I take a swing at you? You're my master after all."

Abigail

Abigail laughed as Crumbles laved all over Law's face and then his hand.  The English Bulldog ate the attention up, rolling gleefully on the floor as he was petted.  Abby rubbed the soft skin of his belly and said, "Someone's a happy baby, isn't he?"

The dog let out a soft, "Wuff!" in affirmation before leaning and licking Law anew.

She grinned and said, "People always need a shower after Crumbles greets them for the first time."

Law rubbed the bulldog's soft tummy as he let the dog have its bit of fun trying to drown him in slimy drool. "I can see why - ARLOF" Law's sentence was interrupted by a lick that almost got into his mouth.

Quit trying to french the dog.

That was not intentional.

Gagging a little as he pushed Mr. Crumplebottom's happy face away from his own, he rose up, wiping his face off. "So uh, where is the shower and stuff? I could use a shave at the very least."

Abigail

Abigail blushed and said, "Well I heard some forces were at work and I was going to study them.  Instead I was taken to a pirate ship by that guy over there and it was all very weird."

She blinked as the unknown guy offered to get Emily another drink.

Rin

"I see... Well, it can't be helped. They do say misery loves company. If there's something you've got bottled up, not the jack mind you, you should get it off your chest. Keeping things to yourself is not good for the stress, that and the wrinkles."

Rin sighed and said, "I don't like to talk about it.  I sound like a selfish bitch when I . . ."

Her voice caught as she looked into an all too familiar face.  Funny, I only knew him for a few days, yet the bastard still haunts me.  Is it because he died to save me and I feel like I failed him?  Or because I know who he was and I still have a yen for Emiya Shirou, no matter what version he is?  I don't know if I want to punch him for leave him or ask for forgiveness because I failed as a Master.

"Do," Rin finished before swallowing, slowly rising from her seat.  Her feet were moving before she realized it, and she grabbed onto the anger and all the things she'd kept bottled up within her as she stepped aside for Sakura's happiness.  Her crest flared to life, glowing under the red fabric of her sleeve as she balled her hand up into a fist.

Then once she got to Archer, she threw a reinforced punch right to his face.

Law
"And of course - " Law said, reaching under the counter to pull out a bottle of absinthe, "Something for the pretty lady next to you as well." He poured a shot of it and handed it to Abigail, as he downed the whiskey sour in a single gulp, enjoying the warm burn as it went down his throat. He really needed that drink at this point.

Archer

Archer blinked as the man Rin was with blocked the sudden punch thrown at him by his former master. "You know, I think I sort of deserved that. Hi Rin. Mind if I take a seat next to you?"

81
Abigail

Abigail opened the door, and immediately a brown and white English Bulldog came waddling towards them at a brisk pace.  His tongue was lolling out of is mouth as he looked like he smiled up at his master before skidding to a stop in front of her.  She bent down and began to rub his soft fur as he gently chewed on the fingers of her left hand.

"Hey Baby, did you miss me?  Did you miss me, Crumbles?  Come on, let's get you out side so you can take a giant dump on Mrs. Ratchet's petunias again," Abigail cooed at the dog before looking at Law.

"This is my baby, Mr. Crumplebottom."  Crumplebottom wallowed over to Law, wiggling in his eagerness to be petted.

Law bent his knees, dropping his stuff next to the door to place later. Instead he focused his entire attention on the squat faced bulldog infront of him. Holding out a hand he let the dog sniff and lick it before he started to rub him behind his ears, letting the happy Mr. Crumplebottom to eagerly slobber all over his face in his excitement at meeting a new friend.

"Hey there buddy" Law said, in that singsong voice reserved for pets and small children. "Happy to meet me, oh yes you are, yes you are..." The bulldog rolled into his scratches, tilting his head and letting one leg twitch as the Sin-Eater hit just the right spot behind his ears, which Law eagerly itched.

"He's a really sweet guy," Law grinned at Abby. "But I think I'll need a towel when he's done giving me a greeting."

82
Emily

Emily raised an eyebrow at the woman's answer before following her lead and filling the rest of her glass with cherry coke before taking a sip. The curious mixture of alcohol and soda bubbled and burned its way down her throat as she appreciated the drink.

Hmm, not bad at all.

"...Well, this certainly is a curious place to search for that kind of knowledge," Emily admitted, taking another sip, "How do you hope to find that here of all places?"

Adjutor

His task complete, Adjutor left the pirate for the newly arrived man and Servant.

Suddenly I'm thankful these drinks are Reinforced. Be a bit of a party-pooper if Sir Tall Dark and Red couldn't get drunk.

"Welcome to the Velvet Room," the teen says, sliding over in front of the two, "What'll it be?"
The Servant sidled aaway after hearing a voice he'd thought he'd long forgotten, as Law pondered his order. "Whiskey sour," he finally said, settling on something strong enough to get rid of that annoying feeling of being cockblocked for a second time. Then he noticed the redheads. Including the one he'd been fucking not too long ago. Sliding over to them, he interjected into the conversation by tapping Emily on the shoulder. "Mind if I get you another drink?"

Archer meanwhile found himself staring at a face he knew too well. Rin was here.

83
Archer and Law

Once again, fate had decided to make several people their bitches in this fucked up little dimension. Law learned this rather painfully as he was suddenly snapped back in time - colliding with a rather tall asian man who blinked as he suddenly appeared here as well.

"Can I not get cockblocked this time for gods sake..." The Sin-Eater grumbled, accepting the helping hand from the red clothed man.

"I can't make any guarantees," his tan skinned companion replied, a hint of a smile on his face. "You look like you could use a drink."

"I could use twenty."

Law strolled over to the bar, taking a seat next to the two redheads, the tall Servant following him.

84
Abigail

Abby tugged on Law's hand and said, "Maybe we should get inside so we can take Mr. Crumblebottom out before those gangsters come running.  Corbie, you'll help the nice people, right?"

"Shiny!" was the crow's eager reply as he kept tugging at Lancer's earring.

Abigail nodded and said, "I'll take that as a yes, come on, Law."  Then she started to drag him to her town house.
There was a moment of silent shock before Law followed her in, clutching her hand tightly like a life line. It certainly drew him out of his sudden realization as he hung around the place - there was a haunt nearby. Some time in the distant past, a death had been violent, or sympathetic enough, to create a link from the underworld into reality. There could even be an Avernian Gate somewhere around here if he poked around. Not in the same building likely, but close.

"I'm coming," He grumbled, following the Changeling towards her apartment.

85
Abigail

"Aye, that'll work, lass," Lancer said with an approving nod, "Appreciated."

Abigail nodded and said, "Now, you can talk to him and he'll understand.  He can talk back to you, so please don't get too shocked when he does.  It makes him self-conscious.  And don't call him a bird brain.  He gets really sensitive about that."

She took a step back and wrapped her hand around the quartz crystal around her neck and focused.

Corbie, can you help me help some nice people out, please?

Forest

Forest nodded at the idea of Abigail lending them a familiar that would help them find Calico.  She raised an eyebrow as Law armed himself with a .45 and said to herself, "Somehow I'm not surprised."

Her eyebrow raised even more at Abigail's spiel about being nice to her familiar.

"Werepumas? Halloweeners?" Lancer asked, his expression inquisitive, "What's that about?"

Forest frowned and said, "The Halloweeners are just a bunch of punks who like to go around and harm people, cause mischief and whatnot.  A bunch of unruly hooligans.  Werepumas though. . . . they're almost worse than werewolves.  Same impulses, but with the craziness of a cat.  And barbed penises."

There was about five seconds of uncomprehending denial from Law at that certain fact of werepuma anatomy before he immediately blocked it out of his mind for the sake of his own sanity. Today had had enough shit happen already. Leaning against the apartment door, he simply waited for Abby to help him inside.

"Didn't need to know that last bit. Did not need to at all."

86
Abigail

The redhead cast Law a sympathetic look and nodded, "Yeah, we should unload the car and I really need to let my dog out.  He's been inside all day and really needs to go out."

She did give Forest a look and said, "However, if you want I lend you one of my familiars.  He might be able to help you look for this guy that Archer may try to kill."

Forest

Forest felt a surge of annoyance, but had to force herself to remember that, despite all of their extraordinary abilities, Abigail and Law were just kids with normal lives.   Nothing that I know anything about, she thought with more than a touch of bitterness.

Before she said something, the klaxon call of a siren rang through her ears and flinched.

“Warning! Warning! Extreme gang violence is taking place within the vicinity of the Nexus blast furnace. Enforcers are mobilizing to retaliate. All civilians are instructed to clear the area and remain within your homes!”

The blond rubbed her forehead and said, "You two had better get your junk in and get inside.  Baton down the hatches as it where.  Now I'm wondering if its the damn werepumas or the Halloweeners causing this nonsense."

"Werepumas?" Law cocked an eyebrow, before just shaking his head. "Nevermind, I think I get the idea." Heading to his car, he grabbed his .45 and stuffed it into the holster he'd 'aquired' at a milsurp store earlier, shoving the entire thing into his hoodie pocket, as he slung the rest of the bags of clothes into his hands and over his shoulder. "I have no idea where the blast furnace is though, so I think we're safe for... a while? Enough to let the dog out at least."

Law shut the door with his foot, locking his car with a turn of the key. "So, um... good luck finding Archer."

Abigail and Forest

They really think you can control him.

Well we could, sort of?

You're not strong enough. If I was not bound to you though...

Forest frowned at the "Conversation" between Law and his "Driver" and wondered what the hell it all meant.

Law shook his head. "It's not that simple. He's sort of different than your run of the mill ghost that I've met with before." He leaned against the tree as well, rubbing his head. "I could do something but he's not around here right now anyway, and I doubt it'd make much of a difference to him."

Forest frowned and asked, "Could you find him?"

Abigail swallowed, stood to her full height and said, "Uh, I might be able to find who he's looking for at least . . ."

"If he was close by, I think I could. But he's off doing something right now. Hunting his other self, you said? He might not get lucky and have to find me again. I am his anchor to the world after all. That should count for something..." Law scratched his cheek. Then Abigail spoke up.

"Abby, it's late, I'm tired, and we've still got the stuff in the car to get inside. Even if we found him I doubt we could stop him right now."

88
Forest

"What about spirits? If you're that concerned about Archer, you might have to well... deal with him," Law said with a shrug.

Forest said, "I would deal with him if he wasn't in that stupid Predator mode of his!  His Linkin Park James Camron plan isn't going to work!"

Abigail

Abigail leaned against the tree and took a deep breath.  She asked Law, "Could you order him not to kill . . . himself?"

They really think you can control him.

Well we could, sort of?

You're not strong enough. If I was not bound to you though...

Law shook his head. "It's not that simple. He's sort of different than your run of the mill ghost that I've met with before." He leaned against the tree as well, rubbing his head. "I could do something but he's not around here right now anyway, and I doubt it'd make much of a difference to him."

89
Abigail

Abigail frowned, knowing she was missing something here, but if Archer was going to kill someone to literally end his own existence . . .  Just thought made Abigail's gut twist as she wondered if she could stop it.  Law wasn't overly fussed about it, but he was pretty fine with being around death.

Except the one that was trying to molest him.

Maybe I can have Corbie and Nihm find this guy and I can tell Forest and Lancer where he is.  I mean, Law Unto Herself should be able to protect him, right?

Forest

Forest sighed, looked at Lancer and sent to him, And if we attempt to go looking for Shirou if Law's not keeping a tight reign on Archer, he might follow us if we try to find him.

Then Abigail snapped her fingers and said, "Also, be careful Forest, there's some changling woman who pretty much wants to give you a bad case of final death.  She looks like Saber but taller."

"Eh, not overly concerned about that.  Wouldn't be the first Fae I had to kill," the vampire said with a shrug, remembering a night long ago when she stood between the Wild Hunt and Gabriel.

Law shrugged as he'd done before, waiting for Abby to fully recover. His main problem when it came to dealing with Forest was trying to forget while looking at her that she was a moving, talking, thinking, sentient corpse. A very very old moving talking thinking sentient corpse. There was a lot of experience with things he'd probably end up encountering later on.

God knows this place would probably throw weirder shit at him than hot redheads and the embodiment of death who was into raping people.

"What about spirits? If you're that concerned about Archer, you might have to well... deal with him."

90
Forest and Abigail

Forest sighed and asked, "You mean you haven't noticed how Archer doesn't look like Calico Shirou?  Like turn that other eye grey, completely whiten the hair, and darken the skin and you have your Servant.  And since your Servant thinks his existence really sucks so hard, instead of doing something to fix it because he's in a position where he can, he's like, 'I'm going to listen to some Linkin Park and kill myself!'"

Abigail chuckled at that, before shaking her head and said, "But how is that even possible?"

"It's the Nexus.  Alternate realities and time lines.  Archer is from one, Calico's from another, but their origin is the same, and Archer thinks he can just end it all by killing himself before he becomes . . . himself," Forest said with a shrug.

Law tried. Law really really tried. But he couldn't see just why he should care about this. Neither could the Driver.

So he wants to kill himself to avoid having to ever exist.

I'd rather he not but... I can't really stop him.

That was true. Law had no where near enough strength to do much more than slightly hinder whatever effort the spirit made. "...That sucks but..." Law shrugged. "It's his choice. If he wants to end it all, I can't really stop him. I'd rather he didn't because um, I don't want to get molested by death, but it's his choice."

Archer didn't bother appearing, instead starting away from his 'master.' He'd heard enough. It was time to go at least for a while. His other self wouldn't kill himself.
