"Mmmm, I guess I have. A few years now." Noel answered, still possesively clutching her notebook. "How are you adapting to it? It was a really big shock for me to suddenly be living on flat ground."

Auspicious Breeze

She wasn't looking at the girl's notebook. That hair framing that face with those eyes on the other hand, and that cute little voice of her's? Breeze was paying much more attention to that. Not enough that she paused all weirdly like she would have a long time ago though. "I just got here today. I've been wandering around for a long time, so this isn't the strangest place I've ever been. Wherever this is."

Tilting her head to the side a bit, she asked, "So you're a bit of an expert, then?"

"Mmmm, you should go get registered, then. They get mad if you don't here." Noel responded quietly. "I wouldn't call myself an expert, though, really."

She stopped spewing negativity as prompted to however her overall mood was still pretty sour. "And what makes you think I'd be interested in working for you? What would I have to gain from that?" She took another sip of her tea, the cup unfortunately running out of liquid content, great, truly wonderful timing.

"You haven't really presented me with an incentive to do so, or do you simply believe everyone would be ecstatic to work with you? That's a rather conceited view to have I must say."

Ivanna resisted the urge to snort at the girl. "Of course we shall provide compensation, We simply wanted to gauge your interest before discussing money. With Our support one such as yourself would be able to do nearly anything one desired; any form of magical research that caught ones fancy would be generously subsidized." Ivanna's eyes twinkled as she glanced at the tails of the woman sitting in front of her.

"I balanced the flow of souls to the afterlife, it was a tireless affair, where you worked all the time without pause. All because they found it more amusing to have them converge on one place instead of sealing the hole and having them pass on naturally.... dumb fools."

Her voice became more and more antagonistic as she remembered the source of these unpleasant memories. Oh how she wishes to just tear into them.

"Stop. We've heard enough." Ivanna raised her hand to Yukari's face. In spite of her authoritative actions, however, a look of sympathy was on her face. "We did not intend to dredge up painful memories. For that we apologize--however, that is not the kind of work I was intending on having one as talented as yourself do, Lady Yukari. I have lower leveled people to lay wayward souls to rest. Your talents would be spent on much more lucrative goals, as a royal advisor."

Now it was his turn to be embarrassed, even if he didn't show it he was kinda blushing. @hat was up with that obscene body of hers? Not that he'd show that though, after all he had sunglasses to hide under. The devil appeared over his left shoulder and whispered corrupting sinful words into his ear.

As long as she's cute it's okay!

But as if to save his soul, an angel appeared on his right, and whispered in turn.

And of course, at that moment, he understood! And at that point, he had an epiphany. Yes, on that moment, Lance evolved and found a new way of thinking.

"HA! That ain't a cat, that's the leviathan itself!" He laughed aloud. "Were you born with that cannon or did you use some weird magic to grow it? That thing makes your lance look like a dagger!"

Olga Marie

CRUNCH!!!

A terrible and horrific sound came forth from Lance's groin area. Olga's knee was strangely buried directly in his crotch. Very odd.

"What the hell do you think you're doing you pervert!" She cried out in a voice laced heavily with pure anger.

"Huuuuuuuuuuuuh?" He raised his eyebrow and questioned her aloud. Man, even for a gorgeous devil like himself, sometimes girls really were confusing. Then again, there was nothing duller than a predictable romance.

That alone made him grin massively and slap her back assuredly, bringing her in closer to her while her guard was low and her embarrassment was secured with a big sleazy smile. The sort of shit eating confident smile that somehow managed to be cool and handsome, going so far as to sparkle.

"Heh, well, you're a fiery woman. I like that!" He cheered her on with  hearty nudge. "There's few ladies nowadays with the balls to fight for what they believe in. Your guy must be one lucky sonuvabitch to have a cutie like you by his side..."

...

....

...Woah.

There was a flat blink. Almost by chance, he noticed, as if this was fate. Her secret weapon.

"Eh?"

Olga cocked her head and smiled innocently. "Huh, what's the matter? Cat got your tongue?"

"Hehehee...."

Yukari's hand went to her mouth to cover up her laughter to no avail. After a few short seconds she regained her posture and observed the little girl with a great deal of amusement.

"Work hard you say, there's absolutel no chance of that happening. I did more than enough of that back in my old world, day after day, labouring for the greater good of the city, the kingdom. Coming here and being able to run that shop is the best thing to ever happen to me. I dictate my own work hours, and there's no constant expectations that you have to live up to."

She took another gulp of the delicious tea. "I suppose I could give you some advice...."

Ivanna

"We see, what a shame... we'd be glad to listen to your advice-what sort of work did you do in your homeworld?"

Ivanna's opinion of this girl wasn't terribly high. Anyone who fled from their duties was simply a craven fool in her opinion. However that didn't mean that she'd let a feeling like that cause Russia to lose out on a valuable oppurtunity. Perhaps there was still time to show this girl the brilliance of God.

Her glare suddenly gained a weighty presence, as if her gaze itself made it hard to move. Any normal person would be paralyzed on the spot. "What are you thinking, inviting someone to this hellhole? Do you have no common sense whatsoever?" Olga was really close now, only about a foot and a half away.

Lance

"Eh? Why the hell would I do that?" He rubbed his head in confusion, which in itself would be something impossible for a normal human. This was all just a big misunderstanding. "No no, I'm just getting my boys to come here so we can move the survivors somewhere safe. They'll need warm beds and something in their stomach after this whole ordeal. Got a problem with that?"

Olga Marie

Olga gazed at him with a blank deadpan. If he was listening closely he might be able to hear a faint clicking noise coming from her mouth.

Then her shoulders slumped.

She broke eye contact and turned away just enough to hide her embarrasment. "Then you should just say so...stupid" The final word was muttered under her breath faintly, almost inperceptably.

Sakura walked up the the craps table and quickly placed a bet, looking around behind her. Something was itching in the back of her head. It felt like she was being watched. She didn't like that feeling one bit.

Of course, with her powers, she easily manipulated the dice so they landed exactly how she wanted them to. The dealer begrudgingly gave her thirty times the amount she'd bet which Sakura quickly headed over to cash in and leave.

Ivanna smiled sadly and closed her eyes for a momenr, giving a silent prayer for all the souls who weren't properly laid to rest. "Yes, that is a problem we are aware of. The priests of Little Russia work very hard to keep them under control."

"But you seem to have misunderstood something, Lady Yukari. I wish to hire you on a permanant basis. You are powerful, are you not? I need people who are willing to speak their minds and work hard to help me fulfill my vision for this city."

The priest snapped his fingers and pointed straight at her heart with a confident grin. "Sure do."

With that, he turned and got a flip phone out of his coat's pocket and dialed one of the contact numbers. Before long, someone answered, someone who must've been familiar considering how pleasant and casual this whole conversation sounded.

"Hey! Uh, yeah it's me. Yeah. Oh, wow really? Okay okay, congrats. Anyways, I'll need you to get here, and make sure to prep a big one. Thick crust, pepperoni and cheese."

He paused for a second, like he realized he had just stepped somewhere a bit too soon. He turned to the lass and asked her a simple question, concerned.

"Um, you're fine with pepperoni and cheese, right?"

Olga Marie of House Animusphere

Olga grabbed his arm as soon as he began to order a pizza. Her glare practically ordered him to hang up the phone.

Hm, leaving already? Either she was outright capricious, or she gave up on things too easily, and judging by the annoyance, it was probably the latter. Still it had been the gunslinger's idea to bring them along.

"Hold on a minute," the gunslinger said, fishing in her pocket for some chips and handing Sakura three lavender chips, 500 each, "Here. The casino was my idea anyway, and I can make it back later."

With that, Charlotte turned around and headed straight for the poker tables.

Sakura Matou

What, did she think this was good enough to make her stick around? Bah. Sakura frowned heavily at her. She was a little suspicious now. Why was this girl so keen on having her stick around. Sakura could think of all sorts of nasty things that she might be planning on doing to her.

Regardless, Sakura took the chips.

"Thanks." She said curtly, before continuing to head off towards the craps table. She'd make bank and then book it. Fly away if she had to.

Ivanna stood up and made for the door, flanked on either side by her imperial guards, who seemed utterly unhindered by the frigid temperatures. She led Yukari down an opulant and majestic hallway into an equally majestic room. There were priceless tapestries adorning the wall, woven with threads of precious metals, while an attendant brought in two cups of an idescribably ornate design. Each one must have cost a staggering amount. Both cups were filled with steaming hot black tea of the highest quality.

"Yukari, can you tell me your skills in detail, to start with?" Her eyes sparkled as if she was on a hunt, attempting to ensnare a choice piece of prey.
