LANCELOT
Lancelot’s head came up to peer at Arturia, his wide eyes hidden inside the dark helm. “Wha…” The normally eloquent knight was at a complete loss for words. No longer king? She considered him a friend? So much for the answers he had hoped for.
The young woman held his armored hands in her own, urging him to stand, but Lancelot still felt unworthy. Hesitantly rising to his full height, towering over the former king, he had to wonder if there was a discrepancy between his memories and Arturia’s. He wanted to understand her side of the story, but was at a loss for how to ask.
The situation was then taken out of his hands by the small crowd of people that had gathered nearby. A few scattered bright flashes of light went off, and several pushy commoners shoved strange looking black sticks at both of the former Servants. A sea of questions and loud voices rolled over Lancelot’s ears, but it barely even registered to him. The world tinged red, and he ground his teeth together trying to maintain his composure.
Atone atone atone atone every violence every crime every victim atone for everything die die die diediediedieDieDieDieDieDie Know the conscience to reform crimes.
The dark knight could feel a growl rumbling in his throat. Mastering himself, he closed his eyes and stood up completely straight, taking a deep breath to clear his head.
Rock trudged slowly through the hustle and bustle of the city street. Revy had gone to get some jeans, not that he could exactly blame her in this weather. "Haah... Dutch is probably going to kill us..." Although the disappearance of the Black Lagoon may appear initially as if it had been sunk, when no wreckage is found off the coast of Cuba the net likely conclusion Dutch will come to is that Revy and himself ran off with it.
His attention was brought back to reality when he turned his head to a commotion next to him. "A... press conference?" It seems the police were giving a public announcement, manned strangely enough by a teenaged girl. He stopped walking to try and listen to what they were saying. After all, he knew nothing about his current location, and this was a great opportunity. "We merely wish to warn the magic wielders of this city of this potential danger. That is all. We will release more information once we have it."
"Magic users?" He mumbled to himself, trying to put together what exactly she meant. Before he could, however, his attention was once again averted, this time by a loud impact. A semi driving along the road hit a rather unusual looking pedestrian at full speed, sending him flying about a meter and a half from Rock's feet. "W-What the--!?" He was taken aback by the spectacle. The man who rolled near him was clad in armor. Cosplay perhaps? The fact that it withstood an impact from a truck going that speed seemed to suggest otherwise. It truly was real armor, but why was someone wearing that in a place like this? "Are you alr--"
'Alright' is what he tried to say, but his words were cut off when the man stood to his feet. "No, let me through," the blond woman whom held the center of attention moments before yelled as she ran towards the man. When she approached, the man fell again. No, not fell, rather, he was... kneeling? "King Arthur."
King Arthur? King Arthur!? What was this man talking about? Was he insane? Clearly he was not in a proper state of mind if he thought that--
"Rise, my friend. I am no longer king. We are equal and it pleases me to see you."
At that, the crowd soon surrounded near, pushing him out of the way yet closer to the two as they shoved microphones in the girls face. At this point, Rock came to his senses. "Enough, all of you!" He faced the girl whom seemed to be receiving much attention. "This man is clearly suffering from some form of head trauma following that impact if he thinks you are King Arthur of all people. You really think joking around with someone in his state is a good idea!? He needs medical attention!"
He placed a hand on the armored shoulder of the man. "Sir, are you alright to walk?! Do you need an ambulance? You were just hit by a Semi!"
