Fate

Fate was forced to hurriedly move from the path of Shiro's sword as his spell fizzled uselessly and faded without effect. Taking advantage of his brief confusion, the first slash almost took his head off, and he felt magic power and wind buffet his face as he barely managed to dodge.

A thin line of white blood fell from his cheek when he moved back. The sensation of being hurt, of being cut, made something snap within his widened eyes, as though a fierce something was suddenly slapped to wakefulness.

Grinning, Fate faced the priest's sword, dodging and diverting many swings with calculated focus as they came at him. The continuous assault forced him to defend without any option to turn the momentum around. It was different from fighting Tsukuyomi; she fought like possessed by a demon and with vicious relentlessness, but her sheer power and skill could not compare to this man's.

Fate's fists produced shockwaves that cracked the pavement around them when they hit directly against the flat of the blade, magic power bursting from the clashes, deafening the arena with loud booms and clangs. The air howled when the weapon passed within a hair's thread breadth of him, ripping the mage's fine suit that had only gotten dust on it up to that point.

Fate twisted his body with superhuman agility to avoid a particularly wide and bloodthirsty slice, the movement splitting his tie in two. And within barely any time at all, Shiro's sword came up from the wide arc that would undoubtedly follow into a bisecting slash. Fate had no time for consideration. The strike all but ignited the air as it came down, and his hands came up flat to intersect it in front of him.

The power behind it made the ground beneath Fate crack and his feet sink, spreading dust and dirt everywhere. But an inch from his forehead, his palms had caught the sword within its path and stopped its movement completely. Fate's rock steady grasp prevented it from simply being pulled back, and his eyes met Shiro's in obvious defiance.

Fate stomped, and the earth beneath them erupted. The entire pavement split into cracks, fissures exploding from the epicenter. The underground shook as affected by an earthquake, causing the spectators to recoil and scramble away, the ceiling and walls likewise deforming and breaking.

The rage of the earth separated the enemy from its master and rampaged at him. The ground rose to swallow him, spikes of rock emerged to impale him, lava erupted to engulf him, pillars of stone burst from the walls to crush him, whips of iron sand twisted at him violently, and raw stone and steel converged on him. Moving innocuously through all of it, Fate brought his own strength to bear against Shiro, striking with the power to break mountains.

Mary

For Mary, it seemed like she would have a bit of reprieve from the day as nothing seemed to ruin her moment. Reports of the demon state he's inside some form of a flame dome. Not that she really cared, so as long as that thing isn't doing anything harmful to anyone. Of course she had those people just continue keeping an eye on him. Just as the lieutenant was lifting a cup of coffee to her lips, her very world shook violently.

The scalding brown liquid met against her face, causing her to loudly shriek out in pain as her environment rocked around her. Equipment were falling off from the shelves, shattering some of the more delicate and expensive tools that they would rely on in their tasks. In the hallways, she could hear the collective shattering of pottery.

"What the hell is going on?!" she screamed in the midst of the disturbance.

Day 2

When Arisato Minato awoke at ten am his first feeling was annoyance, could his body not let him sleep in anymore?

Not like you even need sleep anymore.

My MIND doesn't need sleep anymore, but my body has yet to catch up, so yes I do still need sleep.

Realizing that it would be futile to try to go back to sleep Minato went downstairs and headed for the kitchen to prepare a morning meal for his guests.

Within a half hour the dorm had begun to fill with the smell of eggs, fried ham and bacon, and freshly brewed coffee.

All these things were set, piled high on their platters, on the dining room table along with a pitcher of fresh orange juice.

Minato then proceeded to load up a plate and take a seat at the table to wait, with the smell of breakfast in the air someone would come down soon.

Seeing that Kiyoshi was almost falling asleep on his feet, Rider simply chose the first empty room that she came across. It was a relatively large room, with a single bed, with a sofa nearby that Rider could sit on, as well as a desk and chair in the corner.

Kiyoshi quickly got undressed aside from his underwear, and got into bed. Rider, meanwhile, took a seat in the sofa beside him.

“Goodnight, Aunty Rider”, he said, sleepily.

She leaned over and gave him a hug.

“Goodnight, Kiyo”, she said with a smile. “I'm just going to get a book, I'll be back in a minute”.

Rider had seen a bookshelf outside and, since she had no need to sleep, she felt that she could catch up on a bit of reading. As quickly as she could, she picked an interesting-looking book and returned to the room with it, sitting down on the sofa, whilst Kiyoshi drifted off to sleep.

Once he was asleep, Rider moved over to the desk, careful to keep a watch on Kiyoshi, turning on the small light to give her the ability to read the book.

The Hunter of Strix stretched his wings, shadowy feathers feeling nothing as he glided through the night sky. The keening song of both disaster and his brothers called to him through the darkness. He felt life all below him, flickering and transient. That little fact sent the closest thing he could feel to hate through his form. Hate. A foolish 'emotion' embraced by those who scorned his gift.

Alighting on a branch next to another of his kin, he spoke.

<Disaster?>

Yellow eyes looked towards his, head cocked. <Yes. Many disasters. This place is full of them.>

<Good. A parliament is forming.>

<A what?>

<A gathering of our kind, young one.> The Hunter preened his shadowy feathers, grooming himself. <The Scorners shall know fear soon.>

<Fear? Like the mortals feel?>

<Yes. Like you will.>

<W->

The comment of the Young Stupid One was cut short as the Hunter's form extended, enveloping the younger Strix within his own form, yellow eyes winking out as shadow engulfed them. He struggled a bit, before his existance was ended. A waste of shadow. A tasty waste of shadow. The Hunter preened his feathers once more before focusing his eyes on the window of a building. Life within. Playthings, before the main event. Like shadow, he floated through the cracks in the window, perching without pressure on the Little One's chest, sucking his breath away.

A sample, before the main course to come later.

Wynn smirked as she allowed Kyle in.  "I shall allow you to check on your surrogate mother.  She has had quite the rough evening from what I have gathered."

She then shut the door with a flick of her wrist and said, "No, the Detective is not here.  I have no idea where that crass individual is.  However, there is some good Indian food in the kitchen I would suggest partaking in."

Forest blinked as Karna just decided to set Lucas on fire.  She gestured and asked, "What the bloody hell do you think you're doing?!"

******

Ash smirked as she showed Ellen to a spare bedroom with the windows boarded up.  "This should work.  Get some rest, Fledgling."

Archer took a step back as Karna started to set the brutalized stranger on fire, the smell of burnt hair and skin filling the infirmary.

"...Was that really necessary? You've already possibly fractured his neck you know, so burning him to death isn't needed."

Karna

As the last remnants of the parasite burned away, leaving the skin beneath burned black from fire rather than the twisted black of the parasite, Karna's hand left Lucas' arm, fire dissipating like he had turned off the gas to a Bunsen burner.

"I am curing him of his parasidic problem, of course. This is naturally the quickest way to take care of it. Are there any issues with it? I understand your concern, but he can clearly take it and then some."

Ramesses

Enkidu shook his head as fiery rain fell on him with no apparent damage. "How pitiful, you are but a puppet still dancing in the palm of your own delusions. A King must not let anyone, above or under the Heavens dictate his conduct, for Gods were not meant to rule over men."

The green-haired hero raised an arm as he aimed for the ophidian's heads entangled with tree branches. His own limb grew, twisted and flattened in the shape of a sword far exceeding the scale of what a human body could manipulate. With this unnamed blade, one the size of a skyscraper, Enkidu slashed horizontally with the intention of getting rid of the numerous heads and attacking his heroic opponent in one swift and powerful movement.

"Proof is, the Gods are long dead and so is their era. Your taming of their previous pets does not impress me, Impostor. For I battled the Bull of Heaven itself and, alongside my old friend, emerged victorious."

It hadn't been a mistake to rebel against the Gods, Humanity had no need for their guidance.

A beam of sheer destruction fell on the false king as the creation of gods launched his own attack, the source being the embodiment of the sun, an elemental of fire and for many, an inspiration for many legends. Enkidu felt a familiar radiance from above and felt his soul resonate with the phoenix's cry.

The entrapped hydra was beheaded and the sword, great as a tower, descended upon Ramesses now. He was truly impressed. For once, his opponent was no weak lizard or armored bint. This was a power worthy of praise.

As the sword came close, the great Sphinx stood upon it's hind legs and grasped the sword between it's two great paws, bringing it to a halt with some difficulty.

"Whether you bow to the gods or abandon them, it does not truly matter if you are strong. I became the greatest king by being strong, and by being strongest, I shall leave your pathetic faithlessness in the dust!"

The hydra, beheaded and trapped thought it was, began to twitch once more. Two heads sprung from every disembodied neck, and the creature's body began to spill the foulest poison at the shed of it's blood, rotting the air around it, killing the tree that entrapped it, causing it to decompose away. Heads of the many-necked snake began to descend down the sword held by the Sphinx, some holding it in place while others sped forth, hoping to leave the green-haired thing a devoured mess.

The beam of fire that came towards his head was still of worry to Rider, however, and as such, the heads of two white Dragons poked through thin air, spewing forth a great flood's worth of water colder than than the absolute zero point, yet still liquid, meeting the fire of the bird in the sky with great vigor, causing steam to clog the air around them.

Rider was beginning to feel the tug on his will; Without the ability to fully bring forth his Reality Marble, he could only command so many beasts at once, and he was approaching his limit. However, no matter how outnumbered he was, he remained confident. Not once had he suffered defeat before, and to these plebeians would not be where he first experienced that humiliation.

Caules

"Your loss", answered Caules with a shrug of his shoulders as he took a seat by the large window looking into the street, waving the knight over as he looked through the glass.

He sat in silence, thinking, until his food arrived, at which point he started the conversation.

"So, it might not just be me, but isn't our current search plan a bit", he stopped briefly to take a bite of his kebab, "inefficient? Going by the map on my phone, this city is larger than Switzerland, and not much easier to navigate, the signal keeps dying and the city guard haven't seen even a slight of my sister. Do you think there's anywhere we can go to get mercenary help? I mean, money's not an issue."

Vice-Director "The Queen" Barthomeloi Lorelei
Location: Minato's perimeter, 11:29AM

Wilhelm had never been the kind of vampire people hated. He stuck to bloodbags, or at times of need, non-lethal doses of fresh blood. He might've maybe hung out with the wrong crowd, a group of his kind not quite as peaceful as he was, but he wasn't sure how that had deserved him his current fate.

His friends, Jack, Giovanni, Marcin and Krisstoff, or whatever was now left of them, laid scattered throughout the alley they usually hung out in during the daytime hours. Giovanni had tried his moves on some passing-by high class noblewoman, only for her to crush his head with a metallic hand like a ripe plum. As if she had some sixth sense, she had discerned their vampiric nature at a glance (not like they kept it much of a secret) and fell upon them like a storm of gauntlet blows and lightning bolts, reducing the group from a "them" to simply Wilhelm, cowering in the alley corner like a frightened cat.

The gloved hand took a grasp on his neck, lifting him up with strength completely unlike that of a human's, the holy metal burning his flesh on contact, causing him to scream.

"NO PLEASE PLEASE DON-"

His entire head was vaporized by a burst of lightning from the gauntleted hand before he could even finish begging for mercy, and his body dropped uselessly to the floor, before turning to ash.

"Rot in whatever hell you come to exist in, Dead Apostle", said the brown-haired woman with a scorn in her cold voice, before turning heel.

"Tch, how disgusting."

Lorelei had taken to wipe off the blood of the vile bloodsuckers from her gauntlet and silk dress shirt with a large handkerchief, a Mystic Code in its own right that disintegrated Dead Apostle blood on contact. Soon enough, she was

One of the defiling creatures had actually taken to make advances upon her. To think, the sheer nerve of such a monstrosity! She might've had the dignity to merely stare down a normal suitor, but just the thought of a bloodsucker finding her attractive disgusted her to the point where she might've vomited.

Lorelei bit her lip in disgust. She had taken it upon herself to complete the task the Tohsaka heir and the second-generation whelp had been assigned. She knew that trusting that whimsical Magician Apostle was something one should never do, so she had ordered him send her the same way, causing her to almost be thrown into the ocean on the other side, had she not frozen the water immediately with an arctic wind. Since then, she had searched for the brats, and in the process found out that this was a city where creatures like bloodsuckers and werebeasts ruled the night.

Naturally, as the Head of the Barthomeloi, this could not stand. Eliminating them had almost taken priority over her original objective, and now, after trying to supress her hate for the sake of her mission for so long, she had snapped at the comment of the man who had not even hid his fangs properly. Now it was merely of identifying her targets.

She put her handkerchief, not a drop of blood on it, back in her front pocket and then cracked the knuckles on her unarmored hand, cropping stick inside her coat.

'In the name of the Barthomeloi, I will destroy each and every one of these defilers of the world.'

Against a Hydra that could regenerate and even multiply, there were limited options. The main one being to obliterate it whole in one go. It would require time and power. Two things available at the moment but it would go against the whole point Enkidu and his friend got involved in this battle. If he were to triumph over the arrogant man clad in gold, he couldn't allow such a method for it would bring even more attention to them.

So he would go for the most efficient and likely to succeed plan. Something he wouldn't consider were it another fight but as things were unfolding, the beasts were creating such a ruckus time was running against all of them. Getting rid of the one who brought forth the threat was the most expeditious way to finish this conflict. Thankfully the steam released would help in that matter.

Enkidu dodged aside the first jaw aiming for him, crouched under the second head attacking and jumped on the one following. The giant sword remodeled itself into chains, spreading everywhere around the Hydra's numerous necks and its large body. With precise aim, he stabbed the creature to take control of its mobility, forcing the serpentine monster to submission. The lethal poison did a number on the man of clay but not enough to weaken him significantly. Once he got a better footing on the skull he was standing on, he pulled on the chains, strengthening his control on the Hydra and launched it in a charge against the Sphinx.

His plan was simple. Using the Hydra to rush the other Divine Beast. Since those had been summoned by the false king, they would probably refuse to attack him at all or perhaps was there even a contract forbidding it. But would that extend to their fellow creatures? There was only one way to now. And that meant slamming the Sphinx head on while using the newly created fog as cover. It would only create an opening but it would suffice.

With that, all that was left to do would be to finish off the summoner.

He tensed up but realized that if Forest was in trouble, Wynn wouldn't appear so unconcerned about it. It was probably something that appeared trivial to the fae, meaning either mundane or moral matters.

He smiled. "Isn't it standard for Law Unto Herself to run into problems? Or perhaps it is  related to the intimate fluids and unfamiliar people's scent that I perceive. I smell virgin blood too... And is that burnt flesh? Did I just miss the SM orgy of the century?"

Joke aside, he wondered what kind of mood the Landlady was in at the moment.

"Certainly wise to wait a bit to go greet her then."

No, the Detective is not here.  I have no idea where that crass individual is.

"Probably wasting his intellect somewhere." He got closer to Wynn and whispered to her. "Do you think she would ask to much question if she found his cold body lying in a pool of his own blood? Not that I would actually do it but you know."

However, there is some good Indian food in the kitchen I would suggest partaking in.

"Thanks, I'm not that hungry but if you have something solid to drink, I'll take that." He walked to the kitchen and checked the dishes left. It looked good but not enough to stimulate his appetite so early in the morning. "I'm actually surprised you would find such mundies food to your taste, Wynn."

The green-haired man-like creature had robbed him of his control of the Hydra, and as it dived into the steam, Rider gritted his teeth. He could summon another beast now to try and deal with this pest, but there was an easier solution, one that involved not getting splattered in the blood of the Hydra.

Bending both his knees from his standing position on the Sphinx, he leapt hundreds of meters into the air. As he jumped, his bellowing voice echoed out.

"What is the name of the song of the sandstorm?!", as a thunderbird, a colossal golden eagle whose feathers tingled with electricity, manifested under his feet.

The Sphinx answered in kind with a massive roar, dissolving into a sandy tornado of fire causing the Hydra to scream and burn horribly as it fell into it, and soon, it returned through the invisible door to the Ramesseum it came from. Yet the tornado remained, far-beyond-hurricane level winds throwing fire at both the Dragon-lizard and the green-haired clay man.

Shiro

Shiro was finally on the advantage, the blade cutting through the air and landing on some light hits on Fate. He was even about to back off and call it enough, he had learn what he needed to.

But then Fate caught the sword and stomped, and with it the world exploded. Stone rose, lava emerged, and the world itself became Shiro’s enemy.

Shiro’s eyes widened and he yelled, “RELEASE”. And with the key word the sword released all the energy stored in it. The energy struck Fate and sent him flying into the far wall. Then Shiro jumped narrowly dodging getting impaled by a stone spike.

As he fell more came for him and so he twisted his body, multiple scratches appearing on his body. At the end of his spin he flicked off his jacket, and with it the Black Keys were released, the struck the ground beneath them and the sacraments on them activated, temporarily negating the effects of Fate’s spell, but only momentarily.

He landed in the center in a crouch and held Yuki high the edge pointing downward. And then he dug it into the ground.

“SEAL”

And with it the magic that filled the earth around him was drained away, it flowed into Yuki as it began to glow. Then when it was done the room was quiet.

Except for the dripping of blood from Shiro’s many open wounds, shortly followed by his massive panting, as he stayed kneeling in the center of the room. His body shook in pain and exhaustion.

-----------------------
Amy

Amy came in a moment later after Fiore’s call. And started to move her to her chair, towel placed on it like a cushion to not get it wet, placed her in it.

Then she handed Fiore a towel, “Here for your hair”. She then took one herself and began to dry wipe the water of the rest of her body.

-----------------------
Phoenix

Phoenix saw the blood of the hydra kill its tree, and was half tempted to counteract it. However the Kind Friend used it against the insect. And so Phoenix watched from its roost in the sky.

Then the insect jumped and another beast appeared beneath him. It was a bird whose wings crackled with lightning.

Phoenix would not allow it. The man took to the sky and enslaved a child which Gaia based its model on Phoenix itself. And so Phoenix began to move, the flames dancing along its body and falling to the earth and impossibly hot embers.

And so it moved at high speeds, flying through the air at massive speeds towards that insect-man who took to the sky, to the place where Phoenix reigned supreme.

Fiore took the towel to her hair and began drying it. She felt too tired to actually comb it, that'd have to wait for the morning.

She smiled a bit more even as she still grew red at Amy's actions. When she finished, Fiore wrapped herself in the towel she had used herself, giving herself some level of modesty.

"Thank you Amy. I sleep in my underwear, so could you get me to my suitcase? I have my spare clothing in that. It should be at my bedside. I'll handle the rest from there."

Benjamin Saylor

Benjamin simply looked at the man with the rather nice car; it would probably be worth a pretty penny. “It would not have mattered if you did.” He walked over to the corpse and inspected the body.

It was a moment before he pulled out a wallet; not finding much he sighed and it back down. “Probably too damaged to salvage anything.” he quietly mumbled. Shame, it would have probably got him some profit on the black market.

And with that he simply started to walk away. However he stopped for a moment and turned to look at the man, “You should probably drive another way, you are going towards a fight and further into a bounded field.”

A warning was the least he owed the man for denting his car.

"I know I'm headed into a fight, and my car is FINE." Lawrence said, grabbing a paper towel out of his trunk and wiping the blood off his windshield, yanking the corpse off his car. "So don't go god damn salvaging it while I can still use it."

I think he meant the body

'So fucking what I don't give a shit about that asshole.'

Not even that he killed him?

'Little busy at the moment, gotta get to Mordred.'

"Thanks the warning about whatever the fuck a bounded field is, but l'm going in anyway, I've got to pick someone up." Law finished getting the blood off his hood as he swung back into the car. "God dammit I hope I'm not too late to help..."

Songbird:
Snow was an unknown to Songbird. That's why, when he woke up, he was shocked to find that he was covered in the white, powdery substance.

Surprise turned into curiosity and then into amusement while he figured out he can shift the loose snow around. What began as studying his own footprints soon evolved to slapping, swiping, and stomping around, no doubt shaking the ceilings of the top two floors of the building. A sudden idea popped into the Man Bird's head: what if he were to leap off the building onto the snow below? How much of the stuff would be flung into the air?

Eyes turned green as he followed through with the plan. Songbird didn't leap, he dived over the edge. At the last possible moment, he thrusted his legs forward and expanded his wings. Snow went flying when he hit the ground. It was amazing for the simpleminded being! It was perhaps the first time he actually had fun, and he was enjoying every moment of it. Songbird began to whistle a happy tune as he continued playing in the snow.
